Definitely counting my lucky stars for Laredo because I had some printing to do and legitimately thought I was SOL on it. On a whim I decided to call Laredo to see if by any chance they could get the job done. It was my fault for not accounting more time on the project but eh I digress. I inquired about them printing three large print outs mounted on foam board within 36 hours. I was floored they said no problem and told me to email them the pdf files. There was no sarcastic attitude or a "are you effin' kidding me" tone. Nope they were professional and very kind. Was provided a quote that was more than reasonable and I'm certain way cheaper than the larger boxes out there. When I went to go pick them up, it was super quick but know you need to ring the doorbell since they're sometimes in the back working on projects. It's like a paper heaven in there and you can tell they're busy like all the time. I can't thank them enough for getting this print job done and I'll for sure come back for future print needs. read more

I'm rather beside myself today... for I will NEVER EVER step foot into that hell hole a/k/a Fed Ex on Tchoup again. I had been meaning to get my printing needs done at Laredo for a while now, but because I am frequently in the Riverside shopping complex for the gym, I'd just stop into Fed Ex out of convenience. Only Fed Ex is hardly convenient. And it's crazy expensive for crap quality. After a staggering amount of money I spent at Fed Ex on the cheapest "card stock" (no, it was thick paper), I vowed to never get printing done there again. Enter Laredo Printing (ring the doorbell). I had to get a poster printed on foam board. I expected the turn around to be longer than Fed Ex, as it's a small operation, but I was wrong. I had my poster board the next day at a very fair price. I drove all the way here on Wednesday morning, I was greeted by a friendly man, I had a few questions about the poster I wanted to print, but he said that the manager of the printing place will not be in until the afternoon, and if he were to be in, he would be in and out. I even called ahead of time to try to come after my questions on the phone! They did not pick up. He gave me a card and recommended that I email the manager. I did, explaining my questions, and received the email back a few hours later with literally two words written. Not all my questions were answered, and the quote for my poster was double the price of all the stores surrounding town. Overall, I was very upset by the customer service provided, and I ended up printing my poster for same day pick up for less than half the price at a different location. read more

I just moved down here and forgot the power cord for my printer. I last minute needed one page printed.. on the weekend.. the day before two tropical depressions hit at once... Laredo came through when the other print shops didn't! ALSO, they were superbly socially distanced. It was a very safe, and very good experience. Would recommend them to everyone. read more

Step one: start a business. Any business. Step two: need business cards in a hurry because you got accepted to an event at New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW). Step three: spend most of the weekend losing your mind because NO ONE CAN SHIP BUSINESS CARDS OMG WHO PRINTS ANYMORE WHERE CAN I GET PRINTS JESUS ARE THERE REAL PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO MAKE THINGS ANYMORE????? ::ahem:: Step four: ask Yelp. Discover Laredo. Step five: after 90 seconds on the phone with Fred at Laredo, realize that step three (freaking out, above) was a waste of your time and energy. Step six: get amazing business cards fast enough that you call Fred "a magician." No, really, y'all. On Friday around close of business, I got an email that I was doing a thing on Wednesday. A thing that called for business cards ASAP. I spent way too much time trying to solve this problem when I should have just called Fred on Saturday morning and asked if he could handle my issue. (He could.) Instead, I called on Monday morning, set the files at 10:45a, and got a call/text combo two hours later that merely said, "Your business cards are done." No, really. Fred printed 500 full-color, double-sided business cards in 2 hours. This man is magic. This is a no-frills operation when it comes to the customers because Fred saves all of that for his work with the products. He really, really knows what he's doing. I would rather pay a true craftsman like Fred any day because I'm paying for his experience, talent, and a long-term relationship. I know that when I go back for round two of my business cards, he'll remember round one. He'll probably have something else tacked up on the shop wall that's cool to look at, too. (I'm a fan of old music posters, and Laredo is full of the "greatest hits" print jobs. It's like cruising through a list of the best concerts NOLA has ever seen. Ahhh, bliss.) Laredo Printing is awesome. My company has me forever sending last minute jobs, or multiple "new versions" of prints once we've already sent something, which is THE WORST thing to dump on a printer. When you first try to enter the store, you have to ring the bell so someone can let you in. Once you enter, it's like you've entered a war zone with papers/posters everywhere! I needed to get a sample of a print with a certain type of paper and was able to receive within 24 hours. A sample email was sent and I was able to ask for adjustments. Very friendly staff but overall, the store needs a little more organization. read more

I've used Laredo twice. The first time wasn't as bad as the second, but I thought that perhaps I'd caught Fred on a bad day and wanted to give him another shot. It was a poor decision on my part. The shop is a mess. Fred is rude, doesn't listen or cooperate. The first time I went in and had a photograph printed in large format, came to pick it up and found it laying on the ground under the printer. Not very professional. The second time I printed the exact same photo in the exact same size and the price went up. I asked him why and he said he undercharged me the first time and seemed happy to start an argument. That makes no sense to me. Fred is condescending and is barely able to communicate with customers. I assumed he was stoned the first time I came in, but I think he is simply smug and inattentive as a whole. read more

I thought to take the time to write about my experiences with Laredo Printing because it is important to let others know when you have an excellent experience, especially since I also think it is important to support local businesses ... and this is one worth supporting. I used the services of Laredo Printing twice recently and both times I was pleased with the ease of doing business with them because I was able to place my order through emails a well as proofing from home too. I was amazed at the quick turn around time and impressed to receive my ordered products that can only be categorized as superb quality. It's true--Fred Laredo's print shop is the best. I'm generally in a mild state of hysteria when I come in, needing printing miracles. Fred is extremely patient, even when the job is small and requires substantial reformatting and adjustments due to my extreme incompetence. Laredo Printing is timely, efficient, and produces high quality work. We used Fred for a variety of wedding related items. He's produced save the dates, invitation-style menu cards and programs for us. All at very reasonable prices for high quality products. Fred's honest about what he can and cannot do from a printing standpoint. The good news is that he can do a lot. He's been very flexible and worked late overnight to meet a deadline for us. Fred can be a little quirky to work with, but he's been consistently reliable and helped us achieve our vision with our wedding items. We've worked with other wedding printers in the area, including Scriptura, but we can only recommend Fred's services. If you have printing needs, go to Fred. Over priced and poor service. I'm a big fan of small business and keeping it local, but you have to want to be in business. I went in to pick up an order at the time I was told to do so; not only had it not been started I had to help him locate the order and remind him what I wanted twice. The owner was rude and not helpful. When he quoted me a price after the job was supposed to be finished it was three times what it would be online. I cancelled the order by phone after some self deliberation. I explained to him why, at which time he cursed and hung up the phone. read more

The customer service is terrible. I am an actress and I placed an order for headshots. The order placement was simple and easy. When I picked up my headshots my name was mispelled. I understand that we are all human and mistakes happen. However, the worker could not give me a set time to pick up my reprints which I thought was odd but I didn't contest and told him I would call in the afternoon. He was very unapologetic might I add. The next day I called 3 times to no answer before making my way there in person. This time there was another person. I inquired about a discount since the error was not my fault. The worker explained to me that he would have to call the guy in charge. The conversation was held right in front of my face and not in the nicest manner. Needless to say, the guy in charge denied my request and the worker washed his hands of it, understandably so since he can only do so much. The error definitely was not my fault, I have written proof. I do not find that their prints are anything special and the customer service, or lack there of is extremely disappointing. The store front is extremely cluttered and unorganized. All in all a simple discount or even an apology would have gone a long way to make me feel like my business was valued. These people will not receive any future business from me. One and done. read more

Fred is fantastic. Well priced, great quality printing, customer service in its truest form. We had him print envelopes for our wedding invitations, so the stakes were high. Fred offered consultation on the document formatting, we emailed him the file, dropped the envelopes off on Saturday and got a call Monday morning that our job was ready for pickup! I was overwhelmed by the results. Then, as couples do, we added a few names to our list and brought a second round of envelopes (as well as labels for our favors) to Fred for printing. I printed my scientific poster at the last minute (24 hours before I needed it) for a conference in New Orleans. The online printer I previously used promised to have it out for overnight delivery but I would then need to contend with FedEx and possible hotel delivery delays. I went with Laredo and it was so much easier and reliable than online orders. I emailed the file to Laredo and gladly paid for local delivery. It was higher quality and less expensive than my online experience. Thank you Fred - you run a great operation! read more

I'm not sure why it says CLOSED on here. They are very much open. I ordered some postcards today, I emailed my files and got a call about an hour later that they were ready. "Great" I thought. I was wrong. I had someone go pick them up for me. Besides that they were unreasonably expensive, they weren't even real postcards, just color copies on a card stock paper. Whatever, I can live with that. What I can't live with is that they took the file i send and modified the graphics. So not cool. I sent them an email about this and never heard from them.
