This UPS is located in the H-E-B shopping center on Williamson in Georgetown, Texas. I came to this UPS to print a label and mailbox. I had the label previously created in my email. I emailed ups the label asked him to print it and they charged me $3.35 for that service. They charged me three dollars to rent the computer,i.e., have the employee use the computer for one moment, and print the paper. That is outrageous. I've been to the UPS in round rock and done the same thing, and it was less than a dollar. It is because of round rock UPS that I thought all UPS were good, but obviously they are not all made the same! I will never be back. read more

Horrible and rude staff. My package was prepaid and I didn't need a receipt but they would not let me drop off my package without waiting in line. Every store I've ever been to (UPS, USPS, FEDEX) have all accepted packages pre-labeled to be dropped off either in a drop box or counter side with ease. It's quick and efficient. Not sure why this one store chose not to follow that same practice, but they instead yelled at me and made a scene. I ended up leaving and going to a different store. It was so unprofessional... Management needs to check this out. Will not be coming back here. read more

I have had my share of ups stores and fedex due to needing to ship things all the time for work. This store is my favorite! The staff are always helpful and I really do appreciate it! They have helped me with plenty of international shipments and my team members always get their goodies. Amazon returns are always a breeze as well. We had packages to drop we had previously labeled, to ship via UPS and USPS. After we trudged in with all our prelabeled packages the lady (owner?) said "Are those all for UPS?" I said that some are and some are Postal Service. She said are most UPS? I said no. She said we would have to take all the USPS packages to the post office. She wouldn't even take a small priority mail envelope to help us out. I understand they have a space limitation, but she was not even nice about telling us "No". Absolute unscrupulous business and liars. Paid over $230+ for overnight "guaranteed" shipping on an item. It still has not arrived (two days later). They reneged on the "guarantee" claiming "COVID " - never disclosed by employees or anywhere on their website. We obviously would not have paid for overnight shipping without a guarantee that we would receive it as promised. This business practice is completely unethical and not taking responsibility and owning this error is wrong. Do NOT patronize this store. The UPS corporate as well does not back its independent owners. The response by the owner is a deflection. I have uploaded a picture of the clearly stated verbiage on the website which includes the word: "guaranteed." A guarantee is only as good as the actions of the independent operator and corporate. No consumer in their right mind would pay a premium for a service when the company can deliver a parcel whenever it feels appropriate. That makes no sense. I appreciate the response, but the review stands. The only ethical and acceptable course of action - rather than deflection- is to OWN the mistake and make it right. read more

I was visiting from California and purchased an antique globe. I needed the globe to be packed properly, fearing that it might be damaged in the cargo hold, otherwise. The globe made it home without a scratch. In fact, it was so well packed, that I doubt that it even moved an inch! Every person using this work area holds doors open for each other, asks you "How are you doing?", cares, and respects personal space. My case was a goofed Amazon 1 label for 2 boxes. Calling Amazon and having to speak English as a second language because the Amazon operator was in India...The UPS store clerks were very helpful and politely empathized with my dilemma and helped me know I am not the first or last to have 1 label for 2 boxes...from Amazon's disorganization. Rude staff, one of my least favorite places to go in Georgetown. Always long lines, never in a hurry to help people, no place to drop pre paid packages. So tell me how you would know if I dropped a pre paid package off w no return address? Next time I'll leave it at the door and you can throw it away if that's your continued service. Give me a break. Needs new management! To your response: funny because all I did was go to one off Parmer Rd when running another errand over there and they let me drop it no questions asked. DO NOT USE THEM!!!! I sent my bridesmaids proposal boxes and this is what they looked like when they were received. The worst part is that items were stolen out of the box and re-tapped. The box was extremely damaged.. I'm surprised nothing was broken. I called to report a complaint and they pretty much said "we will get back to you in 5 business days". Beyond mad. The good: Plenty of parking up close and the service from the knowledgeable employees is great! The not great: Prices are always higher than USPS for shipping. Sometimes exceptionally higher for the same service and delivery times. But you're paying for convenience. The unexpected: Cheap shredding services. I have to work with documents considered federally-protected so once a year I unload a bankers box full of paper for less than the price of a Panera dinner for two. It all goes into a locked container before shredding, and my mind is at ease. read more

BEWARE! If you want to drop off a package that has a prepaid USPS label, do NOT entrust this business with it! DRIVE IT TO THE POST OFFICE! I've dropped off such packages and have been treated rudely, so I stopped. BUT my husband had an Amazon return he was taking there so I asked him to drop off several packages that were ready to ship via USPS. When he returned home he said that they were rude, saying they don't get anything out of providing this service, but would do it this time as a courtesy. OUTCOME: The majority of my packages made it into the USPS tracking system THREE days later. That's not the worst of it. THREE of the packages just simply disappeared. Poof. Gone. Vanished. Three packages. Not one. Three. Where did they go? They did NOT go to the post office. Their tracking numbers indicate they were NEVER RECEIVED by USPS. The packages did NOT come back to me. They did NOT finally get to their destination. And of course, the UPS Store did not provide a receipt. I had to take a loss because this terrible business did not manage to get my packages to the post office and of course, gave us NOTHING to acknowledge that they had been entrusted to simply transfer the packages onto the USPS truck that picks up from there daily. (I'd bet that ALL of the packages with shipping labels purchased at the UPS store (for at least double what USPS charges) made it to the truck! AVOID this business. My out of pocket loss is around $100. Could've been worse. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Rarely need this store but when I do, I always get great service from the workers. There's usually a line of people waiting, so don't be in a hurry to get your business taken care of, but the workers won't rush you. Never had a package lost or damaged. read more

I have to return some equipment to AT and T and made a call to this store to see if there was a way to do curb side drop off. The young sounding person on the phone gave me an emphatic no and, when I asked why it would be so hard she said " I don't know what to tell you." I get this is a tough time for everyone but can't believe they can't find a way to help - I have a very high risk wife and I don't go inside shops right now - and really didn't appreciate the attitude on the phone. This store is a black hole for packages. we've had 3 shipments of assorted item sent here and not 1 of them has gone smoothly. Either the package wasn't logged in, wasn't signed out for or some other mixup. The latest is a brand new cell phone that was delivered to the store but they can't find it. I went in to get something notarized and was informed the two idle employees were not allowed to act as a witness secondary to "policy. ". The employees are not attesting to the document, just that I signed the document before them. There was no other patron in the store. Being single and unable to provide my own witness and working out of town, this was not helpful and not customer service friendly. Further, the store belong completely empty underscored they have not recognized my frequent, repeated business there. As a result of their lack of loyalty or customer recognition, I will relocate my business to another store. read more

The manager there is reliably UNHELPFUL, terse, and condescending and rejects Amazon returns (the ones that DONT require packaging) and tells you go and get the item packaged. She has been difficult--rude--combattive--un-customer friendly--for years, and hasn't changed. Avoid this location; there are other postal places in Georgetown that give you zero hassles, zero "attitude", and are always trying to help you get your items shipped, returned, or whatever your situation is. read more

Customer service is changing at this location. There is no friendliness. There is resistance to answering a question. Now they give you a full one page document to sign when you ship a package that is very small print, 8 and 1/2 by 11 and they don't want you to read it just sign it and when you ask for a copy of you're told oh it's just for us. the document contains a binding arbitration agreement. Why don't you want us to have a copy? they make it clear that it's an inconvenience for them to give you a copy. Well if I'm being asked to sign it shouldnt I be allowed to have a copy of it? and after all that she spelled the last name of the person wrong. Even though I spelled it for her. There's no engagement here. I think there may be other shippers in town. I'll try them. Too much attitude at this store. read more

I dropped off a prepaid amazon return last week and like many, I didn't have packing tape. I was told by the employee who took the package that they will tape it this one time only. She went on to say she personally taped 50 packages the day before and she didn't have time. Bottom line is the service was terrible and there are plenty of full service UPS shippers in town who are willing to help. I will not be back. read more

The store is in a very convenient location. You can grab a bite to eat, drop off your dry cleaning, and grocery shop in the same area. The UPS store staff has always been polite and courteous. No issues at this store. Will continue to use them for my mailing needs. read more

They really take the time to explain all the services they can offer, and I really appreciate that. Least favorite UPS store in the Austin area. Unfortunately closest to my house. Never any Parking near the door. Always a line inside. The staff at this location are not very friendly, super slow and have apparently never heard of an express drop off. Forget trying to save time by printing a label at home, you're going to stand in line with everyone else who didn't. read more

It's pretty much on par with today's standards of customer service... like many places, some there clearly should have a job where they don't interface with the public. Zero people skills; not even a hint of enthusiasm for what they do. FedEx always tapes op any open parts of any package I bring in, but the folks at this UPS made me buy a whole roll of packing tape for a three inch seam they required be taped. When I requested that my package be sent THE least expensive way, I picked the slowest method, and after looking at my receipt, I noticed that I paid $12 dollars for insurance. I turned around and pointed that out, and they said, "yes, it's only a few extra dollars..." I just had to state the fact they must not understand English as I clearly asked for the least expensive... I didn't ask for insurance; they just tacked it on. I have more examples, but anyone who's been there knows some of the people there are not pleasant to work with. I really wish I lived closer to a better shipping store. read more

Update: Megan Rowe, You were very clear that it was a franchise rule which prohibited you from shipping anything related to firearms. With this said I went to UPS.com and found the below link and paragraph, which clearly contradicts your interpretation of your own operational standards. https://www.ups.com/content/us/en/resources/ship/packaging/guidelines/firearms.html "UPS accepts firearm parts for shipment, provided the part is not a "firearm" as defined under federal law; the contents of the package cannot be assembled to form a firearm; and the package otherwise complies with federal, state, and local law. Yesterday, I visited this location as it is close to my residence and in the past, there has been little issue with the Staff. I needed to ship an EMPTY magazine which in size was approximately the size of a disposable cigarette lighter. I asked the clerk behind the counter if the had a small box I could purchase to place it in before providing it to UPS to ship. She immediately asked what it was picking it up and I informed her it was an EMPTY pistol magazine. She turned to the manager and said, "We can't ship firearms can we"?...to which I again stated, "it's EMPTY". The manager then said it was the franchise policy to ship NOTHING at all dealing with weapons regardless. I then left, drove to FedEx at Wolf Ranch and the Staff and I had a very rousing laughable conversation about the UPS store and the issue, to which they gladly shipped the magazine.
