This UPS is in downtown Georgetown. We went here to drop off a UPS package. It was not very busy and the process was smooth. My husband came here once before, however and was dissatisfied because they did not have the free UPS envelopes the other UPS offices have, but they did have envelopes for sale. They have two machines on the left as you walk in and if you already have your barcode ready, the process of scan, stick, and drop is quick and you'll be out in just a few minutes. There is usually a line for people wanting UPS support but the layout of the store is set up so those who just need kiosk to do their thing. Bags for merchandise return are provided at the kiosk in case you didn't know. read more

This is BY FAR my favorite ups store. The aren't open on Sunday, but they DO have the self-serve Amazon kiosk for returns. Every time I've been here, they have 2-3 employees working so even when there is a line, it moves quickly. read more

I had the most unprofessional experience while dropping a box at this location. The clerk was a young boy that couldn't write any of the questions that he was asking me. First was a phone number on the account, second was my phone number, then it was an address. I decided to give him my phone so he can copy the address, while he kept laughing and playing with co-worker next to him a girl. He entered the information and he couldn't find the zip code; that was another problem. I asked him for a pen so I can write the address on the box and he said it was not necessary. Then he was going to print label for me to review, but he didn't have tape on printer, that took another 10 minutes, didn't let me review label but make me sign agreement of contents on box. Package was to be deliver Saturday, it was not. As we review label at home we found he did not enter on number in the main home address. THAT took a new toll with UPS. The company should be ashamed for letting franchise owners like this one, to not provide customer service, and when they make mistakes to charge you the full amount of the delivery. We called them on Monday at 8 am, they send us to UPS 1-800, UPS couldn't do anything, they send us to another 1-800 for package intercept. They cant do anything, so they send us to call the store again. We requested she call them and transfer us because they were reluctant to help us. The woman Briana named herself a manager, and said he cant do anything, the UPS rep. told her she is the one that has to correct address. Finally she gets the real manager online who explain how to change address, and hey decided that to change the mistake of their employee!!! we must pay $30 extra, the original price was $22.28 After all those charges the package did not arrive for a week. read more

This is the worst UPS store I've ever experienced. Staff is the slowest, least motivated, least customer focused of any retail location anywhere. Constantly a mess inside, computer system (allegedly) goes down for 10-15 minutes at a time, which blocks them from doing any work of any kind. I am surprised there are not more reviews for this place! I have used a lot of UPS stores over the years, and most have not that great customer service. Most seem like "they are just there", and just putting in the hours. This one, ALWAYS has friendly staff. And, I have gone last year, and now, during their busy Christmas time rush. Even with a line going, they keep calm, and help each person individually. In all of cases, and yesterday, no exception, I needed a box (I never seem to have one to ship what I need). The gentleman, think his name was "Ora", he was very nice. He measured my packages, and got a right box. Verified if needed filler, or anything breakable. They have me in the system from last time, and person I was mailing to, as shipped to before. But, glad they have on large iPad type screen to verify all the information before printing label. I love coming here when I need to, and will be back for all future shipments! read more

We've had a box here for years. I'm surprised at some of the recent negative reviews, because the current team and management at this location is great. Yolanda is always professional and helpful, and the staff is friendly. It seems like some of the poor reviews are from Karen-y types who don't understand how to use the self-service kiosk, or from people who expect a notary to be available at all times. read more

However, all but one of the employees that I've encountered over the last several years are either very curt or downright rude. I went in today to do an amazon return and was rudely told by Angel to use the kiosk before I had reached the front of the line. Hostile within seconds of me entering the facility. But I had additional questions for my returns? and I also didn't have shipping packages so I remained in line. Is it a requirement to use the kiosk? Other staff members were helping other customers without a problem. Once it was my turn Angel acknowledged me with eye contact yet deliberately walked off to the back for a few minutes and finally when she returned I asked for the wifi password. She rolled her eyes and told me to go to the back of the store to get it. She then argued with me about Amazon not requiring me to have shipping packages, I immediately asked for a manager because of how blatantly disrespectful Angel was. Angel replied "go ahead, she's over there" I then waited for the supervisor who was helping other customers. I don't recall her name(long black hair) and as I started voicing my concerns and complaints about Angel's customer service, Angel stormed over to where I was, leaving other customers in line- she interrupted my conversation and tried speaking over me to the the manager telling her I was wrong - almost implying I was lying about the entire interaction? She kept interrupting and speaking over me- it was becoming a scene. I told her you can NOT treat or talk to customers like that. She continued, I finally asked for Angel to walk away and when I did she tilted her head quickly. Her body language was aggressive as if she was going to get physical. She's extremely aggressive, rude and unprofessional. The way Angel was acting was frightening for a customer, it's horrifying to say this but if Angel was on the shift alone and I was the only customer in the store I would have been scared that I would have been harmed. That's the severity of her aggressiveness. The supervisor apologized for any inconvenience but I did not feel like Angel was corrected. If this review seems exaggerated in any way I encourage upper management to review footage from 5/22 around roughly 3PM. I have reached out to corporate and will be following up with Susan upon her return on Friday. The safety of any potential customers have the right to know situations like this are not acceptable wether it was her attitude from me walking in the door to her creating a hostile and threatening environment. Previously I got really good service at UPS in Georgetown but now you stand in line the clerks. Ignore you while they talk to the customers in front of them for over 10 minutes about childhood football games and personal issues. I could hear this well I stood there, holding a box that was heavy, waiting for someone to notice me, I will no longer be using this location. I'll have to go to the CVS and Austin Avenue and take my parcels into the pharmacy to avoid being ignored by the employees at this UPS location. Very disappointing. read more

I just read that this store is owned by veterans. I am also a veteran and I pride myself on having a lot of integrity. It bothers me more that the employees working there had the audacity to say they closed at 1700 hrs on the dot, they lied. They did not! I understand that all of our times are not synchronized, but there were 2 of us standing outside the door as your 3 employees ignored us. It was 1658 hrs when I got there and I can assume about 1657 hrs when the other gentleman was turned away. This incident happened on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 1658 hrs. Horrible service! I didn't receive my package though they had received it. $6,263.00 of medication was ruined due to stores negligence. The owner refused to accept responsibility and reimburse me for the medications. I have been a patron of this UPS store for 8 years. I have expensive medication's and cannot have them delivered to the house due to the potential of them being stolen if I am not home. 8 years ago I called to ask this UPS store if I could have them delivered to their store and was told "absolutely this is a service offered to the public with a $5.00 pickup fee for each package we receive". I agreed that this was acceptable and stated I would gladly pay the $5.00. I explained to the manager that my packages would contain refrigerated medications and they said they would call me when they came in so I provided my phone number so they could call me. They posted my phone number on a cabinet door behind the registers so they would always have it available. This was a perfect solution so my packages were delivered securely. This arrangement worked very well for 8 years. I could not always provide delivery information as it was not always made available to me. When arranging the shipping address with these pharmacies I asked that the labels include my phone number as a backup to the posting in the store. This was never a problem until May when package was due to be delivered but I had no date for the delivery. I was not notified until I called asking if they had received a package for me. I was told that it had been delivered Thursday of the previous week. This was Wednesday the following week! The medication had been sitting in the store for a week. This medication was a refrigerated medication and was shipped on ice overnight to be stored in the refrigerator as soon as it was received hence the need to call when it was received. Needless to say the ice melted and the medication was hot. These were injections that could not be used. The cost to replace the medication was $6,263.00. My insurance would not replace so the cost fell on me. I contacted the store manager when this was discovered and was asked to call them with the cost for replacement. When I called with this information I was told the owner said that they would not pay for it. The manager even went as far to say he did not want any of my medication delivered to his store again. This is discrimination! I should be entitled to the same service they provide other patrons. I should not be punished or discriminated against because my deliveries are medications and due to the stores employee negligence. A manager spoke with him about this and he finally agreed to receive my medication. He told the manager there would be no charge for pickup due to the previous problem. It was a small concession considering the cost that I assumed due to their negligence. I made the decision to continue to have my medication delivered there but within a few months I was informed that I was expected to pay the $5.00 pick-up as it was an arrangement I made with the previous manager. I contacted the previous manager and she said "no" the information for the waived $5.00 fee came directly from the owner. What a horrible franchise owner that would discriminate against me when I had never had a problem with his store or managers Joanna, Julia or Rhonda. The problem was not until the negligence of one of his employees. I would caution anyone to NOT patronize this particular location. You never know when the next problem will be yours and the owner will refuse to accept ANY responsibility read more

I've been using UPS for about a month now while I wait for my house to finish being built. This UPS store is the closest to where I'm staying but I'm a months time they've lost 4 packages that I've ordered. To me that seems like a whole hell of a lot! My packages all say delivered but when I go to pick up I'm told they weren't delivered. Seems to me that someone is possibly taking packages and either reselling or keeping them for themselves. Okay let's start by saying this is by far THE WORST ups store I have ever encountered. If I could leave -5 stars, I would. I was supposed to receive a package Thursday afternoon the 12th and got the "out for delivery" email that morning, waited all day, nothing. Okay no problem, right? I'll just go in and talk to them and see what's going on, maybe it's there. Friday morning of the 13th comes and I go in when they open to be told the carrier has it and it will "Definitely" be there today. Okay so I wait all day (again) and still no package. Saturday morning rolls along and I wait for over an hour to be told the SAME EXACT THING, the carrier has it and it WILL be delivered today. I'm gone all day and think okay it'll be nice to come home to my package. NOTHING, not a note, just nothing. Can't do anything Sunday so I wait until today, Monday morning. I arrive at the post office at 7:45 am and wait. I get inside they took down my address and tracking. Wait another 45 min to be told they don't know where it is, and that we receive packages so frequently that he's unsure if it was delivered to me (which it most definitely was not) or if he mistakenly put my parcel locker keys in another's box. Being frustrated and already very unimpressed by their lack organization or knowledge of their customers belongings, I was not very happy when the manager responded with "The only thing I can tell you to do is file a claim online." I wish I could give negative starts. From the second we walked in the staff was extremely unprofessional, especially the 2 ladies. We had 5 packages that were going to separate addresses, and they argued about who would "have to" help us right in front of us. The entire time they were helping us they were complaining to our face. They were also talking poorly about other members of their team. The immaturity and unprofessional was astonishing. I had an appointment next door, so I thought I would mail a small package real quick. The guy working the counter had zero customer service skills. Slow as molasses, brusk demeanor, had to ask for my shipping options, & after he collected payment, handed me a two sided, single spaced form to sign in multiple places as I was gathering my things to leave. No time to read it & make it to my appointment on time. Just thought it would be a quick in & out, but no. I have only had one good experience with usps stores & that was to deal with the notary public. Never again will I use their services no matter how convenient. My wife and I have been doing business with this UPS Store on Austin Ave. in the downtown area of Georgetown since we moved to Georgetown over 4 years ago. We have a mailbox there and we use many of their other services such as shipping and notary on a regular basis. Without hesitation, we give this business a 5-star rating. Over the last 5 years, my job has taken me from Austin, Houston, Dallas and back to Austin, and no matter where I am I have always relied on the secure, professional services provided by my Georgetown UPS. They have convenient methods for accepting renewal payments, receiving packages and forwarding my mail no matter where I am in Texas. I have walked into several UPS stores over the years and the service is a bit hit or miss, however, my Georgetown UPS has been consistent in service, staff, professionalism and friendliness no matter when I call or visit in person. I could not say all this without a shout out to Brandon specifically who I swear knows what I need before I even ask (darn caller id).
