Here I am again making another review for this place. I tried again to give them another chance as I thought maybe it was circumstantial with my previous packages. This time I believe the delay was intentional. I make custom items for people and rely on great shipping services so that's why I choose UPS. Please also note that my husband is a driver for UPS so I know EXACTLY how the shipping process and cut off times work. I know exactly when the stores get swept. On Friday, June 14th, I dropped off a package at this location. I asked the tall slim lady with brunette hair if the store had been closed out/ did I make the pickup for today? She said "why do you care, it's only ground"? These were her words verbatim. Now I just brushed them off because I knew I had made the cutoff because it was way before 6 and the driver was just getting there. Mind you, I dropped off a package a few days before and was told by the short small lady that as long as it is before 6, then all is good. (She's great by the way.) so today I decide to track the package because it should be out for delivery. I know this because I ship to this area frequently. When I look, I see that the package has sat in the store the ENTIRE weekend. That means it didn't get picked up until Monday!! So this store deliberately let this package sit for 2 SWEEPS just because I asked if I made the cutoff. Yes, stores get swept on Saturday too!! My package shows a Wednesday delivery. Now when I bought the label, I was told a TWO DAY delivery. It has ALWAYS taken 2 days for my packages to be delivered to this location. This store has already made me loose the business of a state representative because of their delayed shipping, now I have to refund this order to a client because of nasty staff trying to be funny. Like I said, I've tried my best to give this store the benefit of the doubt, but it is the ABSOLUTE WORST and I do not recommend if you need your packages sent. Go to Prince Frederick. Never had an issue with that location ever!! Also, for the comment that the manager made below, total BS. I can during the week around 4pm. I know the pickup process. The package was to be delivered on a FRIDAY so how could I come on the weekend?? Make it make sense!! It was your store because that is what the customer service dept for UPS told me when I called in. So just stop. read more

To start: I usually don't leave reviews but I had to today. Phenomenal service. I went in to get some prints made of my products and the staff working today went above and BEYOND!! Annalisa especially did such an amazing job helping cut the prints to shape and also made sure each one was printed how I wanted it. I've never had a better experience here. Also the price for getting my pieces printed was very reasonable and it's of high quality. read more

What always goes well: Extremely smart, helpful, and extraordinarily well-trained staff are employed at this Dunkirk, MD, store. If you have a shipment to send, staff are always willing to provide information on what packaging is needed to ship the item securely, on costs for the shipment, date the shipment can be expected to arrive at its' destination, etc. Staff are pleased to provide you whatever assistance and information you need to complete your shipment and send it on its' way expeditiously. I've had excellent experience at this store every time I've visited the store over the last 8 plus years. I can't say enough good about the Dunkirk store staff. I suspect the store must have smart management that recognizes and supports the store's excellent, and helpful staff. Dear Beth Guididas, and customers of UPS Dunkirk MD I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to you because you are the owner of UPS Store #5405 located in Dunkirk, MD. I am writing to you out of great concern regarding an incident that occurred on your store property involving your store manager. My husband has already filed a complaint with UPS Store HQ regarding the incident and has given you 72 hours to respond. If you are unaware of this complaint let me briefly explain to you the unprofessional manner I was treated by your store manager. On Friday morning, May 7, 2021, I attempted for the first time to send a package to an address with no street number. Your store employee explained that he could send it, but I would be responsible for it not making it to the recipient, etc... I explained to your store employee I would come back after my husband verified the address. I consulted my husband who then confirmed with the company that was the correct address on the package. The recipient has address inside of a industrial park that uses a street name and building number. They also indicated that they receive packages from UPS and FedEx on a daily basis. I then returned back to the store with my two-year-old child in hand to send the package. Your store manager greeted me and asked to verify the recipient's address because there was no street number. I explained that this was the address and he began to refuse to send the package without a street number. I called my husband and placed him on speakerphone. My husband asked the store manager why the first time I entered the store I could send the package but now there was a problem. Your store manager became very belligerent with my husband and stated he was refusing to send the package. They both continued to exchange conversation, but ultimately your store manager said he never sent a package with no street number in the 6 years he worked there and began to kick me and my 2 year old out of the store (check camera footage). I have never been so embarrassed and mistreated for asking to mail a package and refused service for it. I would also like to point out that UPS policy states: Is a validated address required for all shipments tendered to UPS? While not required, we encourage the use of a validated address to help ensure timely and accurate package delivery. Your store manager was asked if his decision was based on policy or opinion and he stated it was UPS policy. I have also consulted a UPS driver and successfully mailed the package in question at another UPS Store and they both stated UPS will mail a package to any address and there is no policy requiring a street number. Your store manager is wrong on two fronts; UPS policy and mistreating a customer. I ask you please to take some kind of action and create a resolution for my complaint. At this point I will also have to get the BBB involved and other oversight watchdogs. read more

Incredibly kind and helpful staff. Not a whole lot of staff so there are occasional wait times with people waiting outside; however, I'm always happy to make a little extra time to have friendly faces rather than people figuring out if they should end it all at their job. read more

I just had another really good experience at the UPS store in Dunkirk, MD. Eric and Erin, the two managers took care of a very difficult problem with a UPS package that I sent to India. The middle aged woman behind the counter is unprofessional and needs a serious attitude adjustment. She is representative of the coworker in your office that no one can figure why they still have a job. I walked in with a small package and a jovial attitude and came out wondering what I had ever done to offend this employee according to how rudely she treated me and the customer in front of me. Other than the minor inconvenience of paying for a piece of small tape (she said my tape was insufficient) she physically rolled her eyes when I was merely giving information regarding where I was sending the box (4 by 5 inches). I watched as she stared the customer ahead of me down rudely when asking simple questions and was as unhelpful as one could be for this customer. I always expect a DMV/USPS type experience when I have to physically mail items in town but not normally so at UPS. It's free to have a good attitude but I guess someone so Ignorant of average customer service principles won't mind the financial effects of losing customers like us due to her behavior. read more

Absolutely great customer service! Came here to print a pic for a party. My picture was blurry (not them, because of me). The manager and owner worked magic to ensure I got the best reproduction I could. They were very concerned, even having the managed state he was a perfectionist . They print banners, copies, photo booth backgrounds, and can mail whatever you need. I will definitely visit them again!! read more

I was shipping original artwork in complicated circumstances, and was not sure the best way to go about it. The older woman was very rude about it and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. She chastised the male for helping me in the way he did. Received poor service from Erin (the desk clerk) at this location. I came with my package taped but saw I had mistakenly left a gap in the corner of the box (I was returning clothes). I only needed about 2 inches of tape to correct this issue. She offered to do this for $1. Absurd. When I commented, she proceeded to tell me that if every time I came in I needed a small amount of tape that this would cost the company money. The pricing is a joke. I needed a three page .pdf printed and they charged me $4.25 for and hour of Internet use to receive my email that contained the three page pdf. What a joke and the argument was, "well I need to pass on the costs to the customer, UPS is charging me for that computer over there!" Meanwhile another customer walks in and asks, "did you get the email with the file I need printed." They were not charged the $4.25. This store is run by the 'who's your buddy" policy with inconsistent pricing to see who they can charge out the butt and get away with it. What a joke!!! Good customer service would say, "yeah, we have to charge for Internet now with a min. of an hour even to receive emails with files to print; so if you want to avoid the Internet fee, bring in your files on a jump drive." but why would they do that??? scammers! read more

If you need to insure your package (or "declare value"), DO NOT use this branch because you can find rates for 1/4 of the price this place charges. I was charged $2 per $100 of declared value after the first $100 of free declared value. I was told this store is a franchise which is why they are allowed to charge higher than UPS's stated price of $0.90 per $100 (and you can find even cheaper through other means by googling). The employee I dealt with didn't mind charging this outrageous price to a customer knowing it was a rip-off. They also didn't care to mention that it wasn't actually insurance that I was purchasing and only "declared value" after I asked for insurance. If you want a company that just does what you asks, but doesn't have your best interests in mind, choose this one, but if you want one that will actually care about you, go elsewhere. read more

Received poor customer service. went in today for notary services and was blown off by the owner. Yes, they were busy but we stood in line just like everyone else. When we were up next, we were told it would be awhile, and when we said it wouldn't take long for what we needed, we were basically blown off saying it would be a LONG while with an irritated voice. She didn't even offer an alternative like can you come back in an hour, could you wait a few minutes, nothing. We even called before we came and nothing was said they may be to busy for a notary. So we went to the store in Bowie and got taken care of and guess what, they were also busy, yet they took care of us just like they did all their customers. It literally took 3 minutes to have the document notarized which we knew wasn't going to take long since we just had this done. But the owner of this store didn't even bother to ask what we needed, just rudely that she didn't have time. Well, guess from now on well travel a few miles further to receive the customer service that is expected. read more
