I have used this PacelEx a few times they are Great they help you in lots of ways to deliver packages all over the world. They also carry many other shipping supplies as well as P.O. Boxes. They do there best to find the best price to ship your items just ask. 0.17.29 Update. Always come here to send your packages don't go across the street to that other store. The other store charges to use a few strips of tape $1 they don't mind here helping you. I've never had an issue wIth anything getting lost I ship items over sea and all has been great. read more

I won't use this place again. I was asked what the contents were of the package I was shipping. When I asked what they would do if I refuse, both of the staff said they would open my package to determine what the contents were. Apparently this place opens our packages and pilfer the contents before shipping them. I do not trust this place, you shouldn't either. read more

I purchased a lamp at a nearby auction house for $138.00. They sent it to ParcelEx for to be shipped. After all was said and done, ParcelEx wanted an additional $498.00! to ship from the east coast where they are located, to me in the upper Midwest. The itemized list of up-charges was laughable. When I called to see if they wrapped the lamp in gold they offered me one hundred dollars off, "we'll waive the handling fee...". Super generous. After this, she suggested as an option, I could supply them with a shipping label and they could just send it to me that way. Well jeepers cripes! We should've started there! I got the dimensions and weight of the parcel from them AND LO! the label I got to them which ultimately was used, was: $17.91! SEVENTEENDOLARSANDNINETYONECENTS!! But they "...still had to charge me for the packaging". $140.67! WT actual tap-dancing F! I paid it. Reluctantly. It was a gift I needed before the holidays. I received the package. It was in good shape. Hard stop. It was cartoonish how this thing was packaged! Absolute overkill. I feel completely duped, conned, scammed and taken advantage of. I am NOT happy how this was handled. The two boxes that were packed within the EXTREMELY large box with 75 cu/ft (give or take) of packing peanuts could have been shipped separately for the cost of the large item. I'll never need their services again but let this be a warning to others considering, just go to the UPS, USPS, FEDEX, Speedee, DHL office and let the professionals handle it. April 18 was my first time going into this store, so grateful that I did. Although it was after hours (by 1.5 hours), Jane still opened the door for me. She took care of my shipping needs (exceeding my expectations) and despite having more work to do, took a few minutes to chat with me and show me around her store. In addition to their shipping services, they sell cards and gifts. Some of the gifts are made by our fellow Calvert County residents. It is important to note, this store is under new management. Outstanding customer service! I arrived at 6:40 p.m. not knowing they close at 6pm. As I walked away, the owner's son opened the door to tell me that they will help me. Under new management!!! I had a wonderful experience here. Not only did they let me come into the store after it was closed, but they still did my transaction!! Store is well stocked, clean, nicely decorated for the holidays, and great selection of cards and packing materials. I had to get several wrapped Christmas gifts packaged into boxes and mailed out to the west coast. They took great care packing everything so as not to disturb the wrapping paper and bows. They did a great job getting the right size packing materials and not overcharging me for a larger size box that I didn't need, but would have been easier for them to pack and fill with styrofoam peanuts. Friendly staff, great service, excellent customer experience. Also, you can decide which shipping is best for you based on delivery timing and cost...they offer U.S. Postal Service, FedEx and UPS. Another added bonus...they are a veteran owned business. Overall, great experience - give them a try!! read more

Jay and Jane were very helpful in the two different trips I made to Parcelex. Several months ago Jane helped me with notarizing an important legal document and did everything possible to make sure everything went smoothly with my transaction. The second time I was there, Jay saw me struggling with two very large boxes. He greeted me a the door with a hand truck and loaded my boxes for me. He assisted me with my transactions which were a bit out of the ordinary. The owners, Jay and Jane were helpful, considerate and generous with their time. This guy runs a franchise that represents all of the large Fedex, UPS, USPS, services. He is arrogant and a rip-off artist who hides behind the brands that he represents. I shipped a box from Millbrae, Ca. to Prince Frederick, Md., when I was returning to Ca. I took the same box with the same contents to be shipped from his store. The charge from Ca. was $31.00, his charge was $51.00, when I asked why the 66% increase to go in a cheaper direction ( West to East is more expensive) he said he was entitled to make a profit. I was flying out the next AM so was stuck, but I heartily recommend looking for a Company store, the area is a bit remote from a large city and it allows people like this to prosper' I called UPS to complain and they indicated they had no control, just a FYI for those who might be in a similar situation. read more

This is truly the one shipping place you will ever need. They pack everything so carefully and make sure they give you all the options to ship your package. They helped me save money by using a smaller box that cost me less to ship. They saved me by having a cute card to go with the gift I was sending. They also have some cool merchandise and some of it is made by local craftsman. read more

I gave this guy three tries, walked out the third time and never will go back. The first time, he chitchatted past the point of pain while his wife talked on the phone, but he did get my package out. The second time, his wife was alone in the store, and she talked on the phone while I stood at the front counter. I said, "Hello? Hello?" loudly, and she deigned to wait on me after about eight minutes. I wouldn't have waited if getting the package out wasn't a matter of some urgency. The second time, I wanted to send something via UPS, and he tried to get me to send it FedEx which almost certainly makes a higher profit for them. He simply would not back off, so I walked out and haven't returned. (Yeah, she was on the phone throughout most of that, too.) I now typically drive to the UPS store up in Dunkirk once a week even though I live in Prince Frederick. I just do not trust these people with my business. I am a court reporter by profession. Nearly everything I send is a legal document, and I have to know that the service handling it is reliable. I have no reason at all to think that they are, so I drive. read more

As usual, my husband was running late; when we called it was already past their closing time, but they told us to keep coming and they would stay open for us. This is pretty rare and deserves high kudos. We were stuck as one of our packages had to ship via DHL with the next closest DHL shipping outlet in Alexandria VA.
