First, allow me to express my gratitude to this amazing company and their professional staff. The team consisted of four movers who, upon arrival, walked through the premises to fully understand the scope of the job before getting started. They listened carefully and worked with precision and determination to ensure our move went smoothly. Every member of the team treated us with respect and inspired confidence in their work. They didn't allow me to lift a single thing -- not even a trash bag I had put together. I am so impressed that I can't wait to tell my friends, and I'm sure my husband will be recommending them to his coworkers as well. The movers even offered helpful advice on furniture placement, which made perfect sense after careful consideration. We have purchased our forever home, but if you are looking for a reliable, affordable, and professional moving crew, I highly recommend giving EZ Moving and Storage a call. Mr. Petro reviewed my inventory list, calculated the distance from point A to point B, and provided a more-than-fair quote with no added charges. The price he quoted was exactly what we paid. None of our items were damaged. In fact, they assembled our beds better than the company we purchased them from! I apologize for the length of this review, but that reflects just how pleased we are with this company. Job well done, and thank you for helping make our house feel like home. Sincerely, Daniel and Sharon Ricketts

So after receiving a few quotes from a handful of businesses, I went with Potomac Moving due to the speed of their response, clarity in communication, pricing and overall warmth and professionalism. In our first phone call to walk though my needs, they were very assuring and accommodating, which is a such a relief in the midst of stress and coordination that comes with planning for a move. They were also always very responsive in the few times that I reached out between the time I paid the deposit and the actual move. A night or two before, I sent at email regarding wardrobe boxes, since I was debating whether or not I should buy and have a few delivered to me. The owner responded quickly, assuring me that wardrobe boxes were tried, true and if I wanted to buy any directly from them that I could. That ended up being a great call, because they were able to properly enforce the boxes so that even the boxes filled with my heaviest coats remained in tact. On the day of the move, the movers were communicative regarding their arrival time. They were also very nice and hard working. I had a few large furniture items that needed to be disassembled and they ended up being quite beasts to tackle. But they worked diligently to break them down. Once it came time to move things to my new place, that was a breeze. One gesture that I thought was just so classy, was the owner called in the middle of the move to check-in on how things were going - I really appreciated that. Overall, would definitely recommend PMC - they're easy to work with, fair and transparent about pricing and you're sure to be met with professionalism!

The crew showed up on time, wrapped every piece of furniture carefully, and worked nonstop without ever seeming rushed or careless. What stood out most was how friendly and communicative the team was throughout the process, answered questions, and made a genuinely stressful day feel manageable. The items were mainly consolidated into main areas, anticipating that it would make it easier for the moving crew to quickly pack and move the items to the trailer. They were here for over 9 hours, packed the truck half full vertically, but filled the 28 foot horizontally. This is something I would expect from college kids who have zero experience as you get charged every foot horizontally you take up in cross country moves. So now, not only are we out $2300 for these movers, we are out an extra 3k because they used twice the amount of space that was actually needed if they had done it correctly. Military and families and federal employees- go anywhere else. This was an absolute disaster.

They moved everything from my studio to my new place in under three hours. It was a local move with only about 10 to 15 minutes of driving, but they were still extremely fast and efficient. Nothing was broken, although I did transport the more fragile items myself to be extra careful. The only issue was that they left several long, noticeable scuff marks on the wall in my narrow hallway. That was unfortunate, but it felt fairly minor in the grand scheme of the move. Overall, the movers were professional, efficient, and easy to communicate with. I would still recommend them, but I would suggest keeping an eye on the walls in tighter spaces.
