Agent messed up the order, and item returned to sender. Called the store to try to fix the issue, but they didn't know what to do.

Unfortunately when you live in Fort Mill, you have VERY few options for office supplies…read more In the past, I've been to Office Max in Rock Hill but there selections are not great. It's also near impossible to get someone to assist you. I was looking for desk drawer organizer and all the ones at Office Max were so small. I checked Amazon and the big one that was adjustable was made of bamboo and was over $70 bucks, bamboo, really? Before COVID there was a Staples in Rock Hill but it didn't survived the pandemic. I liked the store though, easy to navigate web, easy to order on line, friendly staff and good prices. So I decided to make to make the drive to Pineville, NC which is about a 30 minute drive for me. It's in a dense heavy traffic area near the Atrium Hospital so I usually try to avoid that area. It was worth the drive today. I had a relatively good experience except for when I entered. There was no trash can at the store entrance. When I walked in, I looked around and again no trash can. I had just eaten some fast food and hand my hands full and didn't want to be walking around with all that in hand. I walked behind a service desk looking for a trash can and some guy, said 'hey, what are you doing'? I said looking for a trash can. He said 'there is one in front of the store'. I told him I looked when I came in and didn't see it. He said 'oh, you have to go around the corner'. OK great, I did but it was such a pain. Not a good experience, I know there are trash cans in the store somewhere, he just didn't want to help me. I found several options for the drawer organizers and picked out three different options. I figure one had to work and if not, I would return the others. Turns out, they all worked great. The check-out was a bit challenging. It was soooo busy, of course two days before Christmas, to be expected. There was only one lady on the register and she was actually taping up a box to go out with UPS. When she got to me, she apologized and she asked if i was a member of their Rewards program. She explained the benefits and features and I could hear people behind me complaining. She signed me up and as I walked to my vehicle, there was a shady character who was following me. I turned around to confront him and he walked away. Parking in this strip center is TERRIBLE! There are no stop signs where there should be and signs where there shouldn't be. All to make a busy parking lot prime for honking horns and angry shoppers. All I could do was hum 'peace on earth, good will toward men'

I prefer not to dress flashy, and as a business owner, that's what I do! I found SCP&D online while searching for a reliable print shop for clients; I frequently have clients that need to do mailers, flyers, business cards, and was searching for a print shop to fill this niche. As I primarily work online, I've never heard that there were different paper weights, or coatings, so I was going in pretty much blind.I called ahead of time to get a rough quote on 1,000 postcards, and whomever I spoke to helped me through the process, with much huffing and puffing. Then I went in person a week later. I'm unsure if the lady I spoke to was the receptionist, but their office was the closest to the door. I attempted to explain what I needed, and was told multiple times that they're for "commercial printing." After I explained my needs. For my business. With a first printing of 1,000. It's not like I was trying to do a fancy garage sale. I gloss over what, precisely, IS commercial, and we move onto what I'm trying to get done. At this point she is agitated, and it appeared that she thought my business beneath her, as she began rattling off the various options of printing, whether I wanted UV coating (which I immediately thought "like...sunscreen?"), and my confusion only made her mood worse. Apparently there is no "standard" either. Again, I was going in blind, to be sure, and was relying on professionals for guidance. Somehow we got through that mess, and to the pricing. Which they didn't have. Because they are a "commercial" printer. I guess other businesses don't need prices, they just throw money for contracts. When asked for a pricing spreadsheet (because I need printing done frequently for different things), she said "I guess I can make one and email that to you this afternoon." This was about three to four weeks ago. Still haven't gotten that email. Stay far away from this shop. Unless you're their definition of "commercial", I guess.

Great place for all your printing needs. My business cards were top notch. Fast easy transaction.read more

I didn't know those things still existed. Anyways, I felt a little awkward walking in preparing to make this odd inquiry, but felt some comfort when I realized I was in a rather cozy small business environment. In my experience, folks in those places are usually friendly and willing to go out of their way to help. I was actually starting to think I'd found a replacement for the UPS store around the corner that felt more like a post office. It would also save me the drive to the print shop I go to regularly in south end. Wow, maybe this all happened for a reason I thought...what a great find! Boy was I wrong. Before I even finished explaining my situation the man behind the counter threw his arms up, turned his back to me and walked towards the back of the store (I guess that's where they keep the packages). He then proceeded to yell to me (from the back of the store) that he didn't have any packages for me in a tone that conveyed to me in a rather unmistakable way that he did not approve of the reason for my presence in his store, and that I was an unwanted distraction. So much for that small business warm and fuzzy. I can only speculate as to why my request was viewed as such a nuisance, but it's worth noting that they provide a good deal of printing and mailbox services, all of which fetch a decent price compared to my "free" request. I've had plenty of good reasons to pay for their services since, but I will never set foot inside that storefront again. I never did track that package down either.
