The Good: - Lobby is cleaned up (used to be so messy and cluttered) - Staff is knowledgeable and they've always been super helpful but seem happier now under the new management - Really friendly and helpful new owner (name is Brijesh (sp?)) and he's very nice and super helpful, as is his father, who is usually in the store as well - Convenient location in a large, newly remodeled shopping center near the freeway and lots of available parking during the non-rush hours The Bad: - Parking can be a little tough around 5pm-6pm when the Tae Kwon Do place has their late classes and the Mexican Restaurant, Amor y Tacos, is busy with their early dinner crowd but you can get in and out really fast between 1pm and 4:45pm (Note, more parking around the corner by the bowling alley, Bowlero, but you have to walk a little bit) read more

I used this UPS branch to mail out an prototype project to a client. I saw the guy working there place it in a box and weigh it. I never saw him close the box nor place the sticker on it but did not think anything of it as they should do their job of packing and shipping it. If people were to say I should've taped up the box myself, the employee there did not tell me to do it so I placed my TRUST in them that they will. Anyway, once the package was delivered, to our surprise, it was a pair of women's shoes in it and NOT the prototype apparel I sent out! WHERE IS MY ITEM?! I really don't want to think anyone at that store STOLE it and switched items! But what should I think when the item was in the box and all you have to do was tape it up, slap that shipping sticker on it, and do your jobs! No one offered to help me carry my 3 huge boxes and just watched me struggle from my car to the table in the center...then to the register area where they weigh the packages. This place as you walk in, you'll usually see two guys. Yes, you'll see the older gentleman and you'll see a younger guy. I'm not sure if they're father and son but it seems the older gentleman will always have the last word here. I came here because I had to return something and the online store advised me to return it at the nearest UPS store. They're like an intermediary so they can verify the shipping process and of course, make sure it ships with a tracking number. I have lived nearby for over 10 years and use this location exclusively because of convenience, never again after today. The older gentleman, who I believe is the "owner," was flat out rude. The door was open, I walked in it was a few minutes after 6 I wasnt aware of the time. First thing out of his mouth with a rude voice is " we are closed," no hello sorry but we are closed. I look at my phone and its 6:04 so I respond okay, thank you only stopped bu to see If you had bigger envelopes, hes just like ok with same rude tone. A kindness is worth its weight in gold from this experience I will never visit this location again. I have gone to this UPS store a few times to ship textbooks and would never have any issues. However, today was a very different story. About a week ago, I came in and wanted to pack and ship 2 textbooks back to Amazon. The person helping me was efficient and made sure to get me the best packing vessel for the cheapest price. Everything went smoothly, saw him weigh it, pack it, and put it to the side then gave me my receipt. So Amazon emailed me that they only received one book within the package. I thought that was super weird since according to the weight on the receipt, it included both books and I saw with my own two eyes both books were packaged. But of course, before I could refute that claim, I wanted to make sure that I doubled checked with UPS to make sure that maybe the book slipped out during packaging and they had no way of knowing which package it went with. So today, June 5, I called UPS and an older gentleman answered the phone, "UPS Cerritos". First red flag, I am very accustomed to someone saying "How can I help you?" or something similar to that. "Hi, I came last Tuesday to pack and ship 2 books, when it was sent amazon said they only received one. So I was wondering if a book may have been misplaced or found in the store. I was just asking so I could cover all my bases when I let Amazon know they for sure should have it" "NO, we send everything. You bring what you want to send and we ship everything." "Okay sir, I understand, I was just wondering if it may have fallen out or if someone found it." "We don't steal anything from packages." "Okay, I was not saying you were stealing, I was just trying to make sure it did not accidentally wind up in your store and that Amazon indeed has it" "Yes, we don't have it, we send everything." "Okay." And without saying "Is there anything else I can help you with?" or "Okay, have a nice day" or some kind of statement, he just hangs up the phone. I did not once accuse him or anyone at the store of stealing. I even said, in the beginning, I wanted to make sure it was nowhere else so when I email Amazon, there is nowhere else it could be and that they should have it in their facility. But, of course, he was very rudely defensive from the get-go and probably did not even listen to what I was saying. So to end this review, I will find a different UPS store to handle my shipping from now on and I recommend this to anyone as well. read more

I normally don't write reviews, but I just received hands down the worst customer service ever... I tried to call in to ask about a package that I knew was being held in Cerritos, but I had missed the delivery, so I wanted to see if there was any way to pick it up instead. My conversation with whoever answered the phone went as follows: Employee: "UPS" Me: "Hi, there was a package that was supposed to be delivered to my house today and no one was home to sign for it. Is there any way I can find out--" Employee: "Okay, we're not in charge of deliveries and things like that. You've got the wrong location." Me: "Oh okay, can I--" And he HUNG UP. I was pretty mad when I got off the call. I don't know much about how UPS works and I understand that I called the wrong location, but I just wanted some assistance on who I could call to find out more information. As an employee, you should never talk to customers (or anyone for that matter) like that. His tone and attitude was the absolute worst. read more

(I would give zero stars) I asked if they could re-tape my box (I only had one strip going down & it's being delivered to Sweden)..and he said "it doesn't need it, it's fine." It's not fine. It was already coming off at home & that's why I asked to have it taped over. He added 2 SMALL pieces after saying he has delivered 200 boxes from his store...(he was complaining about me asking for more tape basically.) Bad customer service! Was helped today by an older man (assuming he was the owner of the place) claimed the address I wrote on my package didn't exist and that I needed to check it. Even tho I've sent numerous packages with the same address in the past!! I pulled it up on my maps In front of him and he still claimed it wasn't real and said he wasn't going to send it out. Super rude and grumpy about it & told me to get it sent somewhere else. Ended up driving down the street to the other UPS store and was in there maybe 3 minutes with no problems. I came here for an amazon return and the location is very convenient because it is next to Ralph's. Very fast service IMO. I appreciate how even during COVID-19 they are still working to serve the community. They also have social distancing in place. I feel very safe and that everything is sanitized. read more

I go here when I have an Amazon return, but I must say that the owner is a jerk. He has no customer service skills. I've got to find another store for my Amazon packages. I really don't understand how this store can stay in business. If he can have business, then really, anyone should be able to have a business. I think, though, that the owner loves to fix boxes with tape. He must really enjoy this because when I last went, he took quite a long time to do this. I wanted to get an estimate and had to wait about 15 minutes for him to finish because the kid working there couldn't give me a simple estimate. We made an appointment for a notary at this UPS Store, but when we arrived a week later, after two email confirmations, they said that we did not have an appointment. Then, after several minutes, we were told that the notary was out due to a family emergency. However, we were never notified. I do not recommend using this location. read more

Stopped by just now to send some return packages to Amazon. I asked how much it costs to print and was told it's $.50 per page plus fee to use the computer. I commented that that was expensive and the older Asian man who was moving packages around said to me, "Go print it at home and you don't have to pay." Then the young man at the counter tells me that next time I need to tape up my packages before bringing them in because they won't do it. This is a packaging facility and I've never had UPS tell me they won't help with packaging boxes. Never mind that I didn't even ask him to do it. I took my packages and walked back out. After having come here at least 10 times over the past few months, I feel like there's enough consistency to post an update. The customer service is better. Though I rarely deal with the older gentleman, the younger guy's attitude has vastly improved and I get a smile, "hi, please, and thank you". I rarely have to wait to drop off packages, and am in and out in a snap. Granted, I tape all my labels on, close up the boxes up before, and it's ready to go. Nothing I've shipped has ever gotten lost, missing, or any issues, so that's definitely a positive. So overall, I don't have an issue coming here any longer and will continue to do so. -------- This place is close to my house, and that is the only reason I come here. If I'm going further and another UPS store is on the way, I always choose that option. The owner and his son have the worst attitude. There is a constant eye roll and tone coming from the younger one, as though I am majorly inconveniencing them by dropping off my packages. If you don't want to be here, sell the shop and find another business to buy. Don't take it out on your customers. read more

How are they still in business? Definitely got the run around. Poor customer service and quality assurance. Tip...if for whatever unfortunate reason that your package gets dropped off here by the driver for pick up, and your name isn't on their dry erase board (useless), insist on checking, double,triple checking. Had to drive to a different location to find out that it wasn't there, only to come back to the same location. My package ended up being at this location after all. And 'Yi' was too lazy to write my name on the roster for pick up. And the young man working the counter was too lazy to look further than a 3feet radius. read more

I believe there is a new owner (Brijesh) of this UPS on South St, Cerritos, because I've seen a different man than from my previous visits there and he greeted me and was friendly to me, and also the employees have been very helpful which leads me to believe that there has been some re-training. My latest visit was just this week and Jaase helped me with getting something notarized and she was very courteous, thorough and efficient, and I also needed a copy of my originals and she made it for me and processed my payment - in and out in 10 minutes. Overall 100% satisfied with the customer service. Brijesh, please take note, your employees have all been providing exceptional service which will give you repeat customers (such as myself) - it's the old saying, Shadow of the Leader.
