For years now we've dealt with this store - and what seems to be the owner - only when absolutely necessary. We'd bring in packages carefully weighed on two different home scales and he'd always insist they weighed more, then charge us extra. Even if the package was an Amazon return, in the same packaging as received, with an Amazon generated label, he'd insist it weighed more and try to charge us extra! The store opens at 8 am, which means he arrives at 8 and starts turning on lights and machines. Effectively, he begins business at 10 past, no help if you've got to get to work on time and that 10 minutes makes a difference. Never mind that he seems to consider it a real chore to serve customers, or that there's no effort made when there's a long line to say "If you're just dropping off you can leave it on the counter". The whole place is annoyingly unprofessional when he's behind the counter. Strongly suggest drop-offs at your local pharmacy instead. Or, if you need an actual UPS store, choosing a different one. read more

Worst UPS ever! The owner charges much more than any other UPS, I understand they are franchised, for example to print something over $3.00, if you need a piece of tape forget it. Today I had 2 things packed nicely in a box to go back to Amazon, Amazon said put in box, the woman working there took the things out of the boxes and told me to take the boxes with me. I will NEVER go into this store again. There are plenty of stores who are polite and courteous!! read more

Not listening to the customer. I tried to tell the guy when I was returning (2) of the same items in two boxes to Amazon they needed to be separated but he said they must be taped together. I kept telling him that's not going to work. But I did tape them together now it's telling me that I only returned (1) item. This May I took my husband's golf clubs in to be shipped back to our home in MIchigan along with another box going to a different location in MIchigan. An employee waited on me who was in training. Her manager kept coming over to help her through my process. I had an address label on the small box and gave her the address for the golf clubs. She got through the process, with help from the manager, and asked me to check the addresses on a screen to make sure they were correct, which they were so i checked the "ok" box. Once home in MIchigan I realized that the golf clubs did not arrive on the day they were supposed to. I called the store on Cortez where we had originally mailed the clubs from. I explained my problem and was told that i had to speak with the manager but he was not at work that day and assured me he would call me back the next day. He did not so I called again and was told that it was my fault that the parcel was sent to the wrong place. Once again I asked to speak with the manager but was told he just stepped out and would call me back...he never did. It cost $312.00 to mail these and they obviously are not doing anything to resolve the issue, not even a call back. I will never return and will urge others not to as well. read more

I've never had any issues with any UPS store I've ever gone to in my life, but somehow every single time I go to this location there is always an issue. The staff finds any reason they can to try to charge you for UNNECESSARY products. On top of that, staff is unfriendly and rude. When I head up the street to the UPS on Manatee, they accept everything with no issues. Manatee UPS also has much better customer service skills. If you want to save yourself time and headache, go to any other UPS. read more

I have been using the store for years. It seems to be under new management for the last year or two and it's terrible. The wait is long. I had an appointment to get my fingerprints. I waited over 45 minutes. There's always people in the back room, laughing, and joking, but not helping out in the front. I'm done. Refused to take my Amazon box. It was heavy and bulky. A real pain to get into store. The first girl said she could tape it but I would have to pay $2 then another girl came from the back and said it was a big box and it would be $10 then she said it would need wrapped and would cost $20. I left and secured the tape a bit more. I dropped at UPS on Manatee. The guy behind me he counter gave it two swipes with his tape and didn't say a word. This was my third bad experience at Cortez read more

Needed to drop of a pre labeled package to UPS. Understanding that many stores are closed because of the COVID-19, prior to driving to a UPS store, I called to confirm their hours for the day. Their voice recording stated that they closed at 4 pm. Upon arriving at 2:59 the worker came to the door and began locking it. When I asked if she was closing the store, she said yes they are closing at 3 pm because of the virus. Their voice message as well as their website states a 4 pm close for the week of April 2nd - April 9. Poor customer service as all I needed to do was drop off, package was labeled and ready to go, and she did not attempt to make me her last customer as well as poor communication, both voice recording and website said 4 pm close. As a local, I know where I will never conduct business in the future. Shame on this "locally owned" UPS store. read more

The UPS Store - Shipping Centers Near Me - Bradenton, Florida

I rented a mailbox here for six months, and the service was terrific. But that's not why I'm writing. A package was delivered to my address with a former tenants name. The package was delivered by UPS ground, so I took it to this store. After telling the person behind the counter it needed to be returned, she told me they don't do that. In fact, I'd have to call and make an appointment to return it. I told her that wasn't going to happen, and I left. As I got into my truck, she came out the store and tossed the package into the trash barrel in front of the store. Really? Not impressed with the staff, or their attitude. It's FedEx for me. read more

Rude staff, cramped location, no parking, AND - worst of all - they will scam you on Amazon returns. The employee said that they charge for returns, but my receipt said "tape." Amazon doesn't require returns to be fully packed - why would I pay for tape on an Amazon return? This seems like a violation of policy at best and more likely a scam - reporting to Amazon and reporting to UPS. read more

Efficient, rarely a line, friendly. The only issue is the parking when it's busy, cars pulling in while others pulling out and others driving through, it's a wonder there isn't an accident every hour during busy times! read more

Lindsay was very unhelpful at the UPS store tried to work with her but unfortunately she was very very bitchy and unhelpful. We had to leave very disappointed and off to another store to try to resolve our issues. Never been treated like this before in Saint Petersburg UPS fourth Street always very pleasant and helpful. Very poor service. Quoted a price for shipping and I paid cash. Next day had a call they wanted an additional 149.00 because the item did not fit in the box quoted. Even though they weighed and measured the item prior to me originally paying. when I went back to get a refund and pick up my item the store manager refused to give me back my cash. I paid cash and should of been refunded cash. Worse place ever. I had to call the sheriff. read more

I was on the road and had to get something signed and faxed within the hour. I emailed it to their store, then went by signed it and they faxed it for me. The overall process took ten minutes and I was back on the road. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. read more

We have used Mike and his awesome staff for all of our menu printing and business cards since we opened Tide Tables and they are great! Always on time and have amazing graphics. They have made huge banners and posters for us for advertising and have given us superb service every single time!
