I went to this location to get a mailbox and received excellent service from JJ, the manager. He took the time to explain everything, answer my questions, and show me the box. I noticed that although he had a line of customers he wasn't' rushing through the transaction, he was present and focused on what he was doing while still acknowledging the customers waiting. I appreciated the great service! This location is in the same plaza as Trader Joes and with the new nail salon, and breakfast spot there is very limited parking. There are a few spots directly in front of the UPS store that are marked for 10 minutes, if you're planning on coming in and out this is probably the best place to park if the lot is full.   I called a few UPS stores and I noticed that they each have different requirements. One place did month to month but didn't have personal mailboxes, it was held behind the desk, another required at least 6 months, and this one required at least 3 months. It's a pretty convenient location so I decided to select this store for my temporary mailbox. You receive an update when you have mail, and you have a key so you can come after hours. You can also have packages delivered here.   To get the mailbox I needed to provide two forms of ID, I couldn't' used a credit card so I used my medical card and DL. This is UPS Store #2121 and it's located in the Midtown Promenade shopping center next to Mellow Mushroom and Trader Joe's Midtown store, near the south end of Piedmont Park. This location is open 1 hour later on weekdays and 2 hours later on Saturday than the location north of the park (also on Monroe, less than a couple miles/10 minutes away). Parking here is also easier than at the location on Peachtree Street (the one on the ground level of Metropolis, also nearby). Those are a couple advantages this store has over the others in the area. This store and none of the aforementioned are open on Sunday. The closest location open on Sunday is the one at the corner of Piedmont and Sidney Marcus at 2625 Piedmont Rd. At this location, we've been able to drop off packages just after store closing. The staff has been nice enough to still accept them. UPS Stores offer a lot more services than packing and shipping. They're like a home office or small business extension. They're also a good place to get moving supplies like boxes, bubble wrap, and packing tape. They make custom boxes too. I've had them do this for electronics. read more

Buyer beware! I have come to this location for over ten years and received excellent care and reasonable fees for services, but the relationship ends today. They have new ownership and new fees! I needed two documents notarized and they charged me the $2 notary fee for both documents, plus a $16 clerical fee. Of just left staples for passport photos which were under $20 with taxes, but this new UPS location is charging over $25 with taxes. Don't be like me, check first. read more

This Midtown Atlanta UPS Store was simple and start forward, all business not a lot of personality. I had to return some cable equipment and it got to the destination. The parking lot at Midtown Promenade is usually quite busy so parking can sometimes be challenging due to the other highly patronized businesses there. The location is convenient. read more

Came in for 15 non-color copies and was charged six dollars. Just the copies were three dollars. But for them to touch the computer to print for you is $2.50 extra. I asked about it because I've never had this happen before I normally just get charged for what I print, especially since I didn't get on a computer. The manager was very nice and just told me that they're all individually franchised.. Anyways $6 for 15 b/w copies is absurd! Won't be back here again. read more

Pick another store. I'll never return! I gave them 5 boxes I was returning to Amazon. They sold me a $6 box, then forgot to charge me for it. 10 days later I find a letter in my mail box (I don't often check it) saying they're HOLDING MY BOXES (hostage) until I come back and give them their $6 for the box that THEY forgot to charge me. So they kept MY packages-- until I had to notify UPS Corporate and AMAZON. The packages were sent out that day. I wouldn't believe it either... so here is the letter they sent me. Obviously their box was more important than sending out the packages I gave them to ship. Talk about 'putting the customer first'... these people should be ashamed of themselves. read more

I am not sure if this location is locally owned. But the staff sure makes you feel that way. Which is nice. Tucked off the main walk way of a super busy place is one more way to multitask your list of todo's. Also keep in mind that they have everything you need to get so much done. I went here to get something notarized. It was a slow rainy Saturday. One guy was really nice. The notary was alright, but quick on his talking to customer skills. In other words, I felt like I initiated the "How may I help you?" Because he never said it but I'm sure the other guy did. There was a slight pause when I said I wanted something notarized and then he said " What do you want notarized?" ...nothing about fees or anything was mentioned so I asked & he said it was $2. The notary was efficient. I would recommend the place for notarized documents but not necessarily for full happy good feeling customer service. It's definitely get in & get out. read more

Things to know about this location: +It resides next to both the Starbucks and Kiri. +Plenty of parking exists, but I would avoid going on weekends. +They play pretty awesome rock or hip-hop music. +They have toys, for children to play with. (Seriously, what UPS store does that?) +The staff there are really nice. +They clearly explain prices, when it comes to shipping packages. +It's a super easy process to return packages from Amazon. +They have packaging tape, sharpies, and other supplies that you can use. Forgot to print shipping label at home so the clerk offered to send to store email address and they could print there. After printing the UPS label he proceeds to inform me that I owe $1.10 ... $1 for the computer time and 10 cents for the printing and paper. Come on, really? After going here for about the 8th time...I felt that i needed to give them a glowing review. Not only is their location super convenient...they have a ton of parking and next to a Starbucks. That's a bonus for me. :) Their service is fantastic. I have figured my new metric for figuring where to do my printing and ship my UPS packages: ask for a "copy box." These guys say "I have boxes for sale, my used paper boxes to the recycle. I have boxes for sale." Plus they had to be rude about it, as if you were asking for something that costs them money. Plenty of places to buy boxes without rude service (headed to Lowe's after this anyway). Easy to find another of the dozen printing and shipping locations near my home office. read more
