I ordered flowers from a company and when my order wasn't fully delivered they said that they would be shipping it to my closest UPS store and I could pick it up there. Mind you, I did not ask for this to happen or know anything about USP prior to picking up my delivery. When I walked in, I gave my name and ID and was very polite. I was then told that because I'm "NOT A CUSTOMER" I would be charged $10 and am not allowed to receive packages until I become a customer. I was even given a note that states the same. When I asked for clarification, the employee was short and rude and simply repeated what they said the first time. How the heck would I even know what their policy is? I didn't CHOOSE to ship my missing flowers to their store. The company did. I was planning to become a customer, switching all my printing needs over to their office because as a wedding planner I often need large items and quantities. Not now. read more

Best small town Parcel service hands down. I see there had been a bad review about service speed, ill tack that up as an impatient big city transplant not from Anacortes. Wish we could put a stamp on their head and return to sender. The Owners and staff there have always been amazing, even when systems are acting up or are slow to process. They have even in the past expressed waiting on the system to process. Every time I go to the Anacortes UPS store Im greeted with kindness and a smile or wave; possible because I come in with a smile and a booming PNW greeting. Good attitudes towards staff even when busy ill get a good day, a hello or smile. Their performance and willingness and offers to assist in caring larger parcels to my vehicle. When I had an injury and needed a walking stick to help me get around, the staff offered to carry my parcels and load them up (way above any disconnected service you may receive in other parcel centers around the state that I have interacted with.) Tip to grumpy people, you get what you give. the world is not your therapist and should not have to take on a projected bad attitude. Good people of the world are over it. I called this morning to ask if they were doing passport photos. I was told yes and they would be open until 5:30. My family went in at 4:15. We entered the building. After 3-5 minutes of waiting, the woman working informed us that it was a "4 person limit in the store and that we obviously were 4, not including the others in the store." We stepped out and then noticed the very small notice on the front door. When we were invited back in to the store she informed us that "they were not the team to do photos and we should return in the morning." Her rude attitude was totally unnecessary. When I mentioned to her that I had spoke to someone on the phone this morning, she ignored me. We spent our money elsewhere. We will no longer support this business. read more

I went in to have something notarized, and the lady Bobbi told me they don't do notary until 3:30 pm (an hour away) due to their "busy" time. I informed her we were leaving town and this needed to be done by the next day. She didn't care. Did I mention that there was 4 employees standing around. There was not people waiting or anything. I heard one employee tell another employee she was bored. But they couldn't offer some customer service and help me out. I WILL NOT be going back!! And will post this on further social media. Very disappointed in this local business. I paid for overnight shipping of a document from Anacortes to Albany, Oregon. It was over $35.00. I forked over the money and received a receipt. My document was not delivered the next day, but the second day. I returned to the store fully expecting to get a refund or a price adjustment. I was offered neither by the owner: just turned away and given some "virus" excuse. Not happy with that response from the owner, I phoned UPS and requested a refund or adjustment they told me it was up to the store owner to do that. NOWHERE in the store are their signs saying that because of the virus delivery is not guaranteed. Nor is it on your receipt, nor are you told that. Your money is taken and you have no recourse, (Surprise! You're not told that either.) If you want to pay dearly for a service you will not receive, this is the place for you. read more

Used this store to ship items home from a trip to the area. Used the pack and ship option in which the store packs the items. Received the box and while three glass items were wrapped in bubble wrap, three jars of mustard and a jar of honey had NO wrapping, and were sitting on the bare bottom of the box with no padding at all. The honey had tipped over, denting its lid, and leaked. None of these jars even had a piece of packing paper between them, so it was just glass bumping against glass. There was plenty of padding on the top of the box and none on the bottom. We paid a tidy sum to have these items packed and this UPS store failed. I've shipped many, many paintings using the pack and ship service at other stores and have never had a problem. This particular store simply failed at doing what they advertise. read more

I had to ship something so I swung in there on a Friday two hours before they were going to close. I waited in line and when it was finally my turn I was told I should wait for the other lady she's better at shipping than she is. (it's ups they should all be good at shipping) so I got back to the line to wait again. The entire time I was waiting the lady kept looking at me like I did something wrong or that she was upset with me. When I finally had a chance to talk to the lady that was "good at shipping" she sighed and looked at a clock and asked if I could comeback Monday because another person would be there and he's the one that's good at shipping. I informed her that i would kinda like to have this get sent out asap so she measured it and told me it would cost close to $500. I said no thank you that's too much for me to spend on shipping.The next morning I was headed to fed ex in Burlington and thought I'd give ups one more shot with someone else. this time it cost $140. When I asked why it was so much cheaper the lady came back with a defensive attitude and was told because I put it in a box myself I saved some money because boxes cost $18. the math doesn't add up to cost as much as it does the previous day and once I tried to figure it all out i was talked to like I was stupid. I've always used this store. But I'll probably just make the drive out of town next time I need something shipped. read more

Ive always gone down the street from here, but thought I'd give it a try since it's closer. I would give 0 stars, if I could. The customer service person, Nina was incredibly rude and condescending. I typically can make even a grumpy person smile and respond more appropriately, but wasn't able to illicit even basic politeness. I hope my box goes where it's supposed too. I'll drive a couple more blocks to the competitor from now on. read more
