Aaron in the print center is amazing! He greeted us the second we walked in and was very friendly and helpful. He knew exactly how to answer our questions and how to guide us to the large format print we needed. He was clear, patient, kind and made us feel like we were not a burden but rather friends. I needed a new printer for my studio. After shopping around at Costco and Best Buy I ended up at Office Depot. I was helped right away, and the customer service rep knew the printer really well. Office Depot had a good selection of printers. After doing some home research I returned to purchase a printer and again, I was helped right away, which was the complete opposite of my experience at Best Buy (look for review soon). I am having great luck so far with my new Brother printer. I have always had good luck with Office Depot, the staff is very helpful and supportive. An easy five star review! read more

Office Depot Online = Useless and unhelpful. I placed an order today for pick up at a local store... entered my info, my user name, my rewards number and paid. Got the item, came hope and Office Depot set up a 2nd account under the same email. I did not get the rewards for the purchase and they said they can't link them. They said they're sorry there are computer issues today. I was "disconnected" twice from support. So my purchase = no rewards, no cashback, no credit for the returned toner and 1.5 hours wasted trying to get support from Office Depot. I was better off just ordering from Amazon, my fault for wanting it today instead of 2-days from now. It's why box stores like Office Depot are going out of business, and it's what makes people so angry at online customer service whose hands are tied and they really just don't care about the customer, they just drudge through each day hoping to make it to tomorrow, and it shows. read more

I needed to select a computer which would be paid for by someone else. I had read up on what I needed but still had questions. Amazon does not provide tech support, nor doesWalmart (that I know of). Could not get through to Geek Squad. Stopped at Office Depot and talked to the tech guy for easily 15 minutes and got a very clear picture of what I need. I can now just order online. Bought an all-in-one printer for my COVID home office. Needed a larger capacity with a better scanner Guess what office depot/office max doesn't carry in stock???? Replacement toner. So when I'm dead in the water, I can't even get toner at the place i bought the machine only 2 months ago. Next business day delivery? Well, it's Saturday, so if I can can get it by Monday, yeah sure ya betcha Monday. No toner delivery Tuesday. Nothing. Tuesday night I get an email that says they ran out of time to deliver it. From mount Vernon TO mount Vernon. At 5pm. Email said they would deliver it by 7pm the next day. So they can deliver as late at 7pm but they ran out of time at 5pm? And i can't pick this up in the store. Nooooo. ...... I must order it and have it delivered even though it's clear it's coming from the local store. I reach out to customer service. They'll push the delivery for Wednesday. Wednesday is here. NO FLIPPIN TONER. I literally can't do my work right now. Another exception email but no reason this time. Also...crickets from customer service. So i went to the brothers website and ordered toner directly and have a UPS tracking number that it'll be here tomorrow, thursday. Office max/depot??? SILENCE. I want my $177 back.and you can keep your crappy service, worse delivery and shoddy business practices. Two separate occasions had negative experiences at this store. Both times a couple female employees stood next to the door talking and were unwilling to help me with an office chair. I almost never give five stars but the Mount Vernon Washington Office Depot totally impressed me. First of all I do not normally shop at Office Depot because I live much closer to Office Max. I have shopped at Office Max for years. However, I wanted to order three high quality Hon four drawer file cabinets and after spending about ten hours online, I chose to order them locally, even at greater cost, from either Office Depot or Office Max. My reasoning was that by buying locally I would be able to inspect the cabinets for damage before taking delivery. It is all too common for file cabinets to be damaged during shipping. Picking them up locally would also allow me to pick them up at the store to help avoid the chance of shipping damage to my residence. I wanted to be able to see the unboxed cabinets before taking delivery. Well, it's a long story but after talking with Office Max and getting nowhere, I ordered them instead from Office Depot and I was amazed. At every purchase stage, the people at Office Depot listened and responded to my needs. Office Depot provided fast delivery, deboxing and inspecting the (non stocked) cabinets, excellent phone communications, politeness and professionalism, acting in behalf of the customer and going beyond expected service levels. I can't even explain the high quality customer service I received, it is so unusual. If I had to guess, I would say there is something special about the business culture or managment of the Mt Vernon Office Depot that not only sets it apart from other office supply stores but most other businesses I have used in the last few years. All I needed was a 9"x9"x9" shipping box. I'm not from WA and was perplexed that local merchants around here are unwilling to give someone a used box that they're planning to throw away so I decided to buy one. Walmart didn't have one lol. Just "wow" on that. I digress...saw OD across the road and decided to give them a try. Was cheerfully greeted and asked if I needed anything upon entry! Another wow but on the opposite end of the spectrum. Told the OD guy I just need a box and he immediately pointed me straight to the exact item I needed. It's rare that a national chain would get 5 stars from me but this location has excellent management on staff. I previously went to the Marysville store and had to come here to get the remainder of what I needed. The manager dealt with me personally, got me everything in stock of what I needed and wanted to make very sure that I was happy with my shopping experience. They still came up short (that's what happens when you want 50 of the same binder) but they sent me to the next store in Bellingham, complete with printed map and directions. This store has possibly the BEST customer service for office supplies in the Whatcom/Skagit area. Customers are greeted, assisted, and counseled on supplies at every level. Teachers, there is a 20% coupon available at check-out if you don't have a PO or if your products don't qualify for the district discount. If a customer assistant can't answer your question, they radio in for assistance and lead you to the product. That's why I keep coming back. read more

I used to be a regular customer at this store, but the new manager is only concerned with sales. No employee greets customers anymore as they pass the entrance.The old technical guys always had a solution to fix my computer issues, but they were forced to leave. Their replacements didn't know a darned thing about computers and only responded with apathetic, shrugged shoulders and tried to sell me a new laptop. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT AGAIN IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. Outstanding in every word in the English language. I came in to buy a desk and a desk chair. The manager personally helped me with the purchase. He let me roll the chair over to match it up with the desk. Once brought to the front desk, I realized that I had rolled up the wrong chair. The manager, David, offered to exchange the chair for the original chairs' price (which was cheaper). I had to come back the next day to pick up the desk that I ordered. That is only part of the excellent story. The next day I had to bring the chair back. It was defective. David personally exchanged my chair, helped me out with my desk to my car. Chloe and Linda were also outstanding sales reps. I am gobsmacked by the service I received here. What outstanding fellows. read more
