I've been wanting to take a Rumble Boxing class for years. I'm getting back into fitness and I was…read morerecently in NYC for a nice long visit and decided to just jump in and go for it. I booked a noon class on a Tuesday. I arrived in plenty of time to buy a set of hand wraps, water, and put my belongings in a locker. The class was 45 minutes and very challenging. Considering I'm 49 and I believe everyone else there was in their 20s or 30s I thought I did great. The only thing I modified were a few of the ab exercises. If there was a rumble local to me I'd go regularly.

I've taken about 20 classes at this studio and for the price of a class, it's hard to think the…read morestudio lives up to the hype. ClassPass makes it a little more affordable or I try to buy a package deal when they run promos. The women's locker room space is so small and class times are tightly packed together so it's hard to enjoy the showers/products when there's 50+ women in a tight space. Also I'm sad they haven't reopened the sauna since Covid. It's really wasted space that could be utilized to make the locker room larger. I've taken both boxing and training classes and prefer the boxing ones. Boxing involves half your time boxing and half strength training. Training classes are half treadmill work and half strength. I do prefer the rumble treadmills over Barry's ones. Some instructors are better in providing clear instructions and timing the music/moves so you aren't rushing and getting the best workout. You just have to find who you like. Fav instructors are Noah, Bobby Jo and Bradford. LOVE the new straight up boxing class with Noah; they really go into form and technique which you don't get in a regular class.

I'm a fitness and wellness junkie who loves trying new ways to move my body. I've recently been…read morecurious about pilates and decided to take my first class at Impact Group Fitness in Fort Lee. I stumbled upon the studio on the ClassPass app. They're a one stop shop for HIIT, sculpt, and strength classes. They offer two different formats - low impact (sculpt, barre, pilates, yoga) and high impact (dance, strength, circuits, HIIT). I signed up for the 45 minute Mat Pilates class with Cassidy on a Tuesday night. They're located on a busy street, so you'll have to find metered parking. Upon walking in I was greeted by the warm receptionist. I signed a waiver and she gave me a tour. The studio is pretty small. It's squeaky clean, bright, and minimalistic. There's a "lobby"/waiting area with a merchandise display. They have changing rooms, a bathroom, coat hooks, and free lockers. They only have one group fitness room with a large mirror and barre. All of the equipment for the mat pilates class was already provided to us (mat, ankle weights, magic circle, and dumbbells). I like that the class sizes are small because I prefer a more intimate experience. There were about 12-15 of us. The instructor, Cassidy, started and ended the class right on time. Let me just say this. THIS WORKOUT HUMBLED ME. I consider myself to be a fairly fit individual, but this was a humbling experience. The workout was split into core, back, upper, and lower body with different exercises for each section. It was low impact with HIGH intensity and lots of reps. We focused on form, functional movement, and mind to muscle connection. Pilates has a big emphasis on targeting deep, stabilizing muscles through using precise movements. I was huffing and puffing LOL... I FELT THE BURN!!! My core stability, flexibility, and endurance was PUT TO WORKKKK. Definitely a challenge, but fun at the same time. Cassidy was encouraging and welcoming the entire time. There were women of all different shapes, sizes, and fitness levels. We didn't feel any pressure. She gave us modifications and corrections when needed. My only critique is that she could've paused and demonstrated each exercise before we started. She jumped right in after each set and it was a little hard to see her since I was in the far left corner. I also would've liked a little introduction to the class format before we began (especially for first timers), but that's just me being big on education lol. They have monthly memberships, class packs, and drop in rates. I'll be trying a few more classes through ClassPass and I may consider getting a membership afterwards. Should you try pilates? DUH. And for those who think it "looks or sounds easy".... OH PLEASE!!! Try it out for yourself. I absolutely think it's a workout that will be rewarding and challenging for everyone.

It was definitely challenging but she also gives you modifications and demos each workout before you do it. I felt the support and great energy from the staff here and other members. I'm excited to take more classes! I love how modern the decor is and the clean, bright space is very inviting. Parking isn't an issue and the establishment is located in the heart of Fort Lee.
