Well, WAS is the key word. My husband gave it 3 star because of the mission of the Cafe, but the food he would give a 2. We ordered the cheese grits bowl for pickup. We got a container of cheese grits- okay but they needed salt and more cheese. A container of scrambled eggs cooked soft like we asked but they also needed salt, and a container with 2 sausage patties (which were flavorless). We also got a side of biscuits. Dry, seemed like the kind in a can- with no butter or honey, just a bunch of ketchup! My husband saw the banana pudding in the mason jar- so he added that to our order. $8. He went back in because he didn't see it. They said it was in a container. He returned and it was in there- in a very tiny container barely filled halfway- looking nothing like the one in the restaurant, and it wasn't that good, the bananas weren't ripe, and still hard. I'm thankful for the mission, so we may give it another try but maybe eating in is the way to go- we won't do takeout again!

Ahh I really hate giving a low rating, but I honestly have no choice here. While it was our first…read moretime here, we tried a few different menu options and none of them hit. It feels a bit more style over substance in my opinion. Let's start with the positives first! The place itself is very stylish, and we loved the holiday decor! Honestly, just walking towards the building felt like you were being transported into a mini Christmas village. The menu is vast and looks enticing. The place has a great vibe, with a good amount of seating (indoor & outdoor). Definitely makes for a great meeting and study spot! Now onto food and drinks...the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Frappuccino was not good. It was so overrun with cinnamon, you could see the chunks throughout the drink. I love cinnamon, but that's all you tasted and not in a good way. We barely got through it. The serving was large considering the $8 price tag, but the quality was just not there. The pistachio latte was definitely a bit better, but not great. You could taste that bottled syrup flavor and it just wasn't done right. The pistachio croissant was decent. Definitely fresh, with a nice, soft texture, but the Pistachio frosting was super sweet! I think I probably would have preferred it plain. The place definitely has potential, so if they can up their drink game a bit, I'd be open to possibly giving it another go!

The staff are super friendly and welcoming, all around making this a memorable experience! We got the pumpkin waffles and they were the perfect autumn treat! The pecan and pumpkin flavor work so great together. As someone who loves pumpkin and cannolis, seeing this combo made me so ecstatic! The chocolate shell and the pumpkin filling balance each other so well--literally could eat a whole platter of these haha! The Grind is an absolute must visit during fall

Incredible coffee shop! The Breakfast sandwiches were out of this world!…read more My wife and I came here two days in a row the place is so good! First day we had scones and coffee, the Scones were baked to perfection and perfectly balanced, the coffee was strong and delicious. The next day before our drive home we stopped again, this time for breakfast. We had a quiche that was very tasty- and a Ham egg & cheese on a croissant that was SO good... I wept a little. I can't recommend this place enough. The prices are a bit higher than average but they 1000% deliver on that with the quality and flavor that makes you feel like you're instantly transported to a cafe in Paris.

There's quite a nice selection of coffee and tea drinks plus an array of beautiful french pastries. They also have a food menu that includes grain bowls and other sandwiches and salads. There's even a tea bar with matcha, chai and lattes. I had a latte and enjoyed the spinach and feta quiche. Service was timely and I opted to take it to-go. There are a few tables inside and some outside when it's warmer. While you wait for your order, there is a cute area with nice candles, dried flowers and other very tasteful modern interior design accents to buy. Enjoy!

It is a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and cute simple decor that has a communal feel. The specials menu had some fun and exciting choices for st Patrick's day! There was also a listing for blueberry pierogies which we decided we just had to try. I think the concept is exciting and new- but the inside of the pierogies were only blueberries which weren't very sweet. We thought it could be even better with the addition of a sweetened ricotta, cream cheese, or mascarpone inside to compliment the berries. There was a drizzle of some kind of icing which was tasty and went well but there wasn't enough of it. We ordered our meals from their regular menu. They must have polish roots because pierogies and kielbasa show up on the menu a few times. I saw "pierogie omelet" and was sold. You can tell their pierogies are freshly made and it makes all the difference. I probably wouldn't get the omelet again because it was kind of a lot happening at once, however, next time I go I think I definitely would like to get the pierogi platter they offer because I enjoyed the kielbasa and pierogies so much. My sister got a strawberry arugula salad with crispy chicken. I did not try it but I tried a piece of chicken and it was deliciously crisp. She said everything was really good and the strawberries were perfect and ripe. My mom, who got the protein pancake with fruit on side agreed. My other sister got a tuna wrap which she also enjoyed. I also like that they do a 1/2 tea 1/2 lemonade with your choice of flavor. I got the raspberry and it was delicious - not too sweet but the flavor was there. Our waitress was a gem and we never felt rushed.

I had a European Benedict. It lasted me close to 4 meals. And it was good…read more Casual and friendly. I will be back.
