One and Done We went on a Sunday and expected it to be crowded, which was fine. We ordered at the counter: one avocado toast, pancakes (which had to be plain because they ran out of the other options), and French toast. We were told the wait would be about 30 minutes but could be closer to 20, and that our name would be called when the order was ready. We sat with our drinks and waited... and waited... and waited. Eventually I walked over to the wall of take-out bags and asked if our food was there. It clearly had been sitting there for quite some time based on the look of the bag and the reaction from the staff member. I could look past that -- it was busy, I get it. But when we got home, the food was completely inedible. The French toast was overcooked and rock hard. As we were trying to cut through it, we found a hair in the food. Into the garbage it went. Next were the pancakes -- burned on one side. Also went straight into the garbage. Finally we opened the avocado toast, which was literally half an avocado smashed onto a thick, rock-hard slice of toast. $65 later and every single item ended up in the trash. You need to order at the counter as they don't have table service. They will give you a number, and they bring out the food to the table. The drinks you need to pick up at the counter. We have ordered the breakfast sandwich, buffalo chicken sandwich, burger, and their lattes. The breakfast sandwich comes with beef bacon! I thought I wouldn't like this, but it's surprisingly tasty! The breakfast sandwich comes with a small salad, so we get the garlic potatoes on the side. These are great. The buffalo chicken wrap and burger are also solidly good. I got it with oat milk, literally exactly how I like my shaken espresso. I had the French breakfast plate with feta cheese instead of goat. The person taking the order didn't know what basted eggs were and tried to insist I ordered over medium. If a chef doesn't know what basted eggs are there's a problem. 1 star deduction because the eggs tasted like a chemical based cooking spray and were very well done on one side. Having to go up and fight through a crowd to get my drinks was less than ideal. Very much like a fast food experience but they bring the main dishes to the table as you are given a number sign to place on the table of your choice when you place your order at the counter. We were getting an order to go so I ordered a maple latte and an iced Caramel latte and decided on a pistachio croissant. The potatoes are always spiced so well, and the citrus vinaigrette on their side salad is something I wish I knew how to make myself. The presentation is also 10/10 every time. Their service? I've never had to wait longer than 5 mins for a table and their food comes out relatively quickly. The one time I did come and they had a wait, the owner started pulling out more tables and seating everyone himself. The ambiance? While the café still gets sunlight in the winter, I mostly come for their outdoor seating on the warmer days. However, upon entering, the extremely busyness made the customer ordering process feel unstructured as I wasn'tsure what to do or expect. For the price, you'd expect at least basic respect and edible food -- got neither. I won't be returning, and I'd suggest others avoid this place unless something seriously changes. It was so bad.
