Coffeee is good but the pastries are mid, my blueberrry scone is ehh, and the ham and cheese croissant was just ok. The service was nice and decor was good but I don't love it, its a big space and theres more seating in the back, but its very family and baby loud.

Cozy little spot with quality coffee & variety of pastries. Definitely one of the nicest coffee shops on the island (although the neighborhood is not ideal) but I hope they thrive.

Excepcional place! This place is so cozy and breathtaking inside! I had breakfast and a pastry and it was so good! So fresh and delicious! The best coffee latte! I can't wait to bring my friends! They have brunch as well!

Very cute inside. Such a warm vibe for sure. This would be a great spot to do some work on a laptop or just to sip your coffee. Service was good. Barista was very nice. I quite didn't like that the food is out. They do serve lunch which I didn't get to try. Tried the blueberry coconut cold brew along with a donut. Donut was delish. So light and airy not too sweet. The cold brew wasn't really my thing. I'll be back to try more of the lunch menu and other coffees as well.

Their prices are so affordable, absolutely the cheapest of any staten island café (even their specialty lattes max out at about $5!) where as many other cafés shamelessly charge almost $10.

The pastries are consistently a highlight - always incredibly fresh, perfectly made, and so delicious. Beyond the amazing food, the employees are wonderfully friendly and do an excellent job keeping the entire place spotlessly clean. I adore the atmosphere here; it's so cozy and cute, making it the perfect spot whether I want to surf the web, catch up with a friend, dive into a book, or just enjoy a coffee. Speaking of enjoying things, their menu is fantastic! I recently had the waffles with strawberries, chocolate syrup, and tons of whipped cream - the portion was huge and every bite was absolutely mouthwatering. Bean & Leaves is a true gem! Please stop by if you're in the area, you can thank me later. *wink, wink* Oh, and Free Wifi is always a plus!

The morning of our event there was snow on the ground, and Danielle, one of the owners, personally called early to confirm everything was still on. She shoveled herself out and drove in from New Jersey to make sure the coffee bar was set up and ready. That level of dedication and professionalism truly stood out. The coffee bar itself was a huge hit. They offered espresso drinks, cappuccinos, flavored lattes, oat milk options, and iced selections -- all made fresh to order. The quality was excellent and truly café-level, not just standard event coffee. The iced lattes were especially popular with our guests. The setup was polished and professional, the baristas were friendly and efficient, and it added such a fun, elevated touch to the brunch. If you're planning a wedding event, shower, or special celebration, I highly recommend Beans & Leaves. Exceptional service, delicious coffee, and a team that genuinely cares about your event.

You might see ppl working on their laptops, couples on a date, ppl stopping in before/after a shift, teachers, artists, realtors, retired folks, parents with their infants, etc. They have a fridge stocked with additional beverages including wellness shooters like ginger shots. They also sometimes have sangria and daily specials available. In the back they have created an awesome seating area with tables, chairs, umbrella's and a mini bar. I'm not sure what they serve out of the mini bar or when but I think they do private events sometimes. Don't sleep on this spot! Northside is a keeper!

The staff seemed unprofessional from the start. I ordered an iced matcha and was given a hot one instead. When I mentioned it, she said I had asked for hot (which I didn't), but said she'd remake it. That same day, iced drinks were advertised as 50% off, yet I was still charged full price. It was difficult to even address this because she was gossiping with her friend at the counter the entire time, which made me feel uncomfortable interrupting. The atmosphere didn't help either, the lights were off, making it feel like the business wasn't even open yet. As for the food, the Tex-Mex burrito was extremely underwhelming. It was mostly beans with barely any bacon, and at $14 it felt like an overpriced egg-and-bean burrito. The sausage, egg, and cheese bagel was just okay, but the bagel itself was very hard and oddly sweet. The matcha latte was the biggest letdown, there was virtually no matcha flavor at all, it tasted like watered-down oat milk. Overall, between the service, pricing issues, and poor food quality, this place did not live up to expectations. I wouldn't recommend it.

I was asked 3x if I wanted flavored syrup. I politely said no. Not something I've never been asked before when ordering a cappuccino. The empanadas had this giant red name stamps on them. I wanted to order one but was not sure about the big red labeling. Turned me off to them. I ordered a ham/cheese croissant to go with the coffee. The croissant was super sweet and was a bold contrast to the ham/cheese combination. I really did not expect that. The staff wasn't rude but they weren't friendly either lol they were kinda just there. The space is super super tiny. It was myself an one other person but if she were to have stood up or someone came in we'd be on top of each other I was a bit confused on where to find the menu at first. They had a chalkboard with items on it for basic stuff . The cost was decent . Overall spent $8 The food and coffee was ok to me. Can't say I was impressed This cafe wasn't really for me and nothing stood out about it . Maybe others will have a different experience than I had but I will not be returning .

You order your food at the front counter, and while we waited, the owner surprised us with a complimentary almond croissant since it was our first visit. It was absolutely delicious -- flaky, fresh, and easily one of the best almond croissants I've ever had. The menu has a great variety of options. We went with the steak and eggs and buttermilk street pancakes. The steak was tender and full of flavor, the home fries were seasoned perfectly, and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. We also tried the Tropical Bliss Juice, a refreshing blend of pineapple, mango, and orange that's freshly pressed to order. From the warm decor to the amazing food and friendly service, everything about this place was fantastic. I can't wait to come back and try more items on their menu!

SECOND, the food is just as amazing! I was so happy hahah. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a restaurant for more than just their food. We came here for my boyfriend's parent's anniversary and the server's were wonderful and honestly very thoughtful as well! They were very attentive to our table and refilled our waters often. I also say this because when my bf's parents ordered the halibut to split, they had brought out their meal in two individual plates that were beautifully plated, you would think they ordered separately! They also took our group picture! :) We ordered 2 orders of the Basement Snacks: For Two, 2 orders of their raw oysters for appetizers. For my entree I ordered the Shrimp Carbonara Rossa with a side of Asparagus. Everything was so good. Their buffalo wings were perfectly marinated and not too saucy, their ribs were so tender and the meat fell straight off the bone! My carbonara was also delicious.
