It's not a big place and it seemed like we were being a little rushed, but we didn't pay it any attention. No liquor at a restaurant called twisted crab seafood and bar. Waitress didn't know anything about the wine except that it was the twisted crabs brand. Didn't know what crab forks were or if they had them. Shrimp was good with and without the head...combos came with one piece of corn and 2 very small potatoes. My snow crab legs were way over cooked and extremely soft. Could not pull out one solid piece to save my life. This was the most disappointing part as it's the only reason I came here for lunch and the dish is literally in the name! Sausage for combo was a la carte... my meal was garlic butter without any spice my husbands was twisted crab sauce spicy, neither had much taste although my husbands did have spice! Overall everything was OKAY. Service, food, and atmosphere very mediocre. If I'm in the mood for a crab pot on the peninsula again I probably wouldn't come here again. What a great meal! I had the fried oysters app that came with a side, 8 oysters and a large portion of their Cajun fried for $10! Hubby got the catfish appetizer. Their appetizers are large enough for a meal. We also got the Cajun shrimp steamer bag with corn and sausage, seasoning was really good and steamed perfectly. The happy hour deals are amazing I either get 10 wings for 6$ or the catfish for 4$ and my bill is always low for as much as I get. The first time I went here, I did not have a great experience. I went about 9:00 on a Saturday night and was seated quickly. The issue I had was the fact that after being seated, I didn't get greeted by anyone until 15 minutes later. One of the other waitresses addressed the one who was suppose to be serving my table and she had a hissy fit. Another young lady came and assisted with ease. The only issue with her is that she was serving food while speaking on her phone. Along with that, the waitresses and who I am guessing was the manager on duty were having conversations that customer should not be hearing. I gave them another chance a week later and had a better experience. Whatever changed between those days needs to remain. The food is good but the service is what makes the customer really come back. Continue to improve on your service and be mindful of who you hire and there should be no issues in the future. read more

Ok.... so i was here for a Yelp Event. All in all, not super impressed, but it wasn't awful. They brought out trays of different foods for us to try and pass around. I sampled the calamari, shrimp, crawdads, corn, fries, hush puppies, wings, and banana pudding. The fries were pretty good, with some kind of cajun seasoning on them and cooked really well. The calamari was just ok. The breading was good and has some decent spice to it, but the calamari itself felt a bit over cooked, it was chewy. The shrimp was cooked in spices and was pretty good, although a little greasy. It came with corn and potato. I didn't try the potato but the corn wasn't amazing. Again, kind of over cooked, and the same spice that was on literally everything else, so nothing special. Crawdads- never had them before, so I'm glad I got to try. Seems like a lot of work for that little bit of meat, but it tasted good! Hush puppies were nothing special, small like a ping pong ball and about the same flavor as you would expect anywhere else. The wing I had tasted ok, just plain, no sauce. Again, the breading was good but it was greasy. The banana pudding was kind of a disappointment and I don't recommend it. So- all in all, not a bad experience, but nothing that knocked my socks off. If someone I was with wanted to go there I would give it another try, but I doubt I'll seek it out. read more

Very good! My mom, my husband, and I were served by Christal, who was very friendly and gave us great service. I ordered the calamari and hushpuppies, then the snowcrab, extra hot with twisted sauce. The calamari was perfectly seasoned. It didn't come with marinara, which was weird to me, but I got cocktail sauce and was happy with that. I recently tried this restaurant because I wanted some crawfish. I never been to a place like this that offers different seasoning and spice. So I just tried the crawfish in the creole and no spice with potatoes and sausage. Potatoes and sausage was pretty good but the crawfish taste like rubber.
