The worst experience I've ever had with any company. I have used Turtle Bus in the past and have had good experiences before so naturally I was excited at the thought of using them for our wedding weekend. Unfortunately, using Turtle Bus ended up being the only major negative of our wedding.
We decided to use Turtle Bus for a post-wedding ceremony photo-cruise and Turtle Bus Tubing on the Saturday after our wedding for a float trip for all of our guests. We reached out 5-months in advance to ensure that they could accommodate our group and lock in the trips. Communication got progressively worse over time. We understood that it was their busy season but it was next to impossible to get even a few quick questions answered in the weeks leading up to our event.
Wedding Photo-Cruise:
- We booked a 2-hour photo-cruise after our wedding and the bus showed up 50 minutes late. Beyond being disappointing, this had financial ramifications on our cocktail hour, reception, and the investment we made in our photographer.
- We were informed that there would be a bartender on board with a stocked bar. There was no bartender and there was only enough alcohol to last 15 minutes into the ride.
Float Trip:
- We were unable to provide our guests with a payment link until the week of the wedding due to a lack of response. This led to several people dropping out in the weeks prior due to uncertainty
- We were told that we would have 3 buses for our group of over 110 people. The morning of we received a call that they only had 2 buses and one of them broke down. Although we completely understand that things happen beyond anyone's control the inability to provide a feasible solution for a group of this size was disappointing.
- After the weekend they failed to automatically issue refunds. While on my honeymoon I sent several emails, texts, and called multiple times without a single response. Still, 3 weeks later they have not issued refunds for the majority of our group. I have had to advise all of our guests to call their credit card companies and cancel their transactions since Turtle Bus is incapable of issuing refunds which total up to over $10,000 for 110+ people.
The lack of accountability and willingness to make things right after a negative experience is beyond inexcusable. Complete incompetence in the fundamental aspects of running a business. read more
