It looks like a mess inside (just a strange layout - not dirty) and the food took forever but .... Good things come to those who wait!! The place was not busy and we could hear the cook in the back room banging the cooking utensils and we kept thinking "gee this is taking a really long time". When it finally came out the meals were picture perfect - I mean look at my photos! And they tasted that good too!! I got an omelette and it came with choice of hashbrowns or American fries and I got the American fries. The toast choices were whole wheat, rye, white, or Texas toast. I was so full from the omelette and potatoes I never got around to eating my toast. My friend got the country breakfast and he was absolutely delighted with everything he got and he ended up bringing his pancakes home with him. Don't let the looks of the place turn you away because the food was well worth the visit to this Millington Inn!!

I definitely stepped out of mine for this place. I ordered a Bloody Mary to start and it was delicious with all the right fixings olives, lime, lemon and pickles. They have really great burgers as well and if your in the mood for some greasy bar food that's really good then yes go here. Play some pool or darts it's a very chill atmosphere with locals mostly. Monday's they also have .75 tacos and they really aren't that bad after a couple bloody Mary's in. The looks are not to good and it is a little run down inside and outside and I can tell they really never remodeled anything but it's alright. Jukebox works so you can play your tunes and the bartender doesn't mind turning it up a notch! Give it a try and do something different.

I almost finished the entire thing, but had to call it about three quarters of the way through. That rarely happens at most places I've been to. No comparison whatsoever on quality. A Pleasant Surprise and a Great Place to Take a Break…read more After several days in Frankenmuth, we didn't want to repeat any of the restaurants we had already visited, so we decided to give Michigan on Main Bar & Grill in the Castle Shops a try. There were very few guests at dinner time, so we weren't quite sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. Our waitress was very kind, welcoming and efficient. We started with the pretzel served with mustard and beer cheese. The beer cheese was easily the highlight--we actually had to order a second serving because it was so good! For our entrées, we ordered the Grilled Cheese and the Smash Burger. The Grilled Cheese, served on ciabatta bread, really isn't what I would call a grilled cheese. It's much more of a tender short-rib sandwich with a little melted cheese. The meat was very tender, but it lacked seasoning and needed something more to bring all the flavors together. The Smash Burger was good and cooked well, although there wasn't anything particularly outstanding about it. What we really enjoyed was the atmosphere. Michigan on Main has a quiet, low-key bar feel that was a welcome change after some of the busier tourist restaurants around town. We enjoyed sitting near the front window, people-watching and having a chance to relax before continuing to wander around downtown Frankenmuth. Service was quick, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the beer cheese alone was worth the stop. A great little resting place for a casual bite and a drink while exploring the Castle Shops and downtown area.

I started off with a Cinnamon Toast Crunch from their drink menu but it was underwhelming. The menu is quite small with limited options so I ended up ordering a Pretzel charcuterie board and my husband had their sausage duo. The presentation was simple and could even be described as economical on their part. The food itself was fine for the most part. There were a few things didn't care for the flavor of like the little sausages, but fortunately for me my little pup was happy to take them off my hands. I really liked the jam served on the side of my meal and the mustard was too die for! (I actually ended up buying some to take home it was so good) My husband said his meal was fine. There were some bees or wasps that were bothering people and they did become quite annoying, especially towards the end of our meal. I kept shooing them gently, but they were persistent and when they started to bother the lady next to us, she became incredibly frightened. If you have a fear of bees or wasps, I definitely would not recommend dining here. All that being said, it was about $60 after tip for our meal and while it was perfectly adequate given the options available to us at the moment, I don't think it's anywhere that I would go out of my way to revisit.

Was able to enjoy a quick beer and relax before heading on; looked like they were getting the stage ready for live music later. The inside was clean and wasn't too busy while we were there, but they also have a little space outside to sit and enjoy your drink if you like. Also have good but we haven't tried that yet- maybe next time!
