Whenever I'm in town Pipers Pub is a must...! The pizza is hands down THE BEST in Gladwin. The drinks are good, the Bloody Mary's are delicious. The bartender Lily is the best. She's prompt, polite, knows how to make a great drink and still hold a conversation even when shes busy! On top of all that she has by far the best smile in town! read more

Visit 8/15/2026 around 3pm. Wanted to love this cute local pub but the bartender was beyond rude and seemed bothered by our mere existence. Planned on having food and drinks with girlfriends and hanging out for a few hours but It was so bad we had one drink and left and as we were leaving the couple next to us wished us better luck elsewhere. Sad but true. Will continue to support local businesses but probably will not return here. read more

My mom and I spend a weekend at Riverwalk Place & Oasis Spa, down the road from Pipers, about once a year and usually head here the first night to grab a bite, have a few drinks, and play Keno. To be fair, there aren't a lot of dining choices competing with Pipers, but the vibe is super welcoming and it definitely beats eating fast food in the hotel room. The place is a popular hang out spot for locals and travelers alike so it is often quite busy. Patience is recommended as the bartenders and servers are busting their butts to cover the thirsty and hungry crowds. The food is good, consistent, and fresh and the drinks are well made and tasty. Everytime we have visited, there has been something new on the menu, the specials board, and the cocktail list which is nice as most pubs don't tend to venture far from the usual "bar food" fare. All in all, Pipers is a step above the expectation and I like that I can count on a good meal, good drinks, and good vibes. read more

My husband and I visited gladwin for the first time and this quickly became our favorite pub. It was recommended by our friends and we figured out why. Ice cold be, friendly staff and amazing food. We split the brisket sandwich and were so pleasantly surprised, it was delicious. We actually stopped here more than one over the course of the weekend. After a long day of driving and golfing, we wanted some good and quick burgers. We drove into town and decided on Pipers Pub. On this Saturday night, there was some people there but not too busy. The waitstaff was efficient and super friendly. Between the 4 of us we ordered, one regular burger, an olive burger, and 2 bacon burgers. The food came out quick and was really good. Fries were on point. Crispy and fresh. My bacon burger was solid. Cooked well and just a great bar burger. We will definitely be back. read more

My Grandson and I decided to go out and grab a bite to eat after a long day of yard work. Neither one of were that hungry, but knew we had to eat. We drove to downtown Gladwin and stopped at Pipers Pub for a light dinner. We settled on nachos. The waitress recommend that we get the small as it would definitely feed the 2 of us. We were pleasantly suprised how quickly it came out, as it was Saturday night and they were pretty busy. The nacho looked and tasted Amazing! It came with pub cheese and regular, melted, shredded cheese and all the topping/fixings. The pub was fairly small in size, but the personality of the staff and quality of the food made it obvious to us why it so busy!! This is a really hard review to write because I love this place and their food.... We tried to eat here the other day and it was busy. We stood at the door for 10 minutes and not a SINGLE staff member greeted us, talked to us or even acknowledged us. They walked past us repeatedly to their tables. This includes the owner who looked up at us several times. At one point he walked from behind the bar to another table in the front and and started talking and laughing with them. We waited longer. We finally left and went elsewhere and had a great meal and drinks. I knew they were busy. I understand being short staffed and having limited space. I didn't expect to get a table and was going to wait. All I expected was to be acknowledged and told that there was a wait or even told they would be back in a few minutes to speak to us. And, unfortunately, this is not the first time we have left without anyone even talking or acknowledging us. We have been also turned away from an EMPTY restaurant that is reserved for Trivia Night and parades that are HOURS in the future..which I don't understand why you wouldn't want to turn those tables and increase your sales. I mean it's 4 pm and you won't seat a table that has a white square of paper that is reserved for 6 pm??? So, at this point, I will stop trying and will go elsewhere and spend my money at other places that will gladly take it. read more

Went here the other week and all of the usual staff was not there that we remembered. The girl who took our pizza order was not friendly at all and messed up the order. The service in this place is really bad. I hate walking into a place and it takes awhile to ever get acknowledged. We were there to have a drink and watch football (it was Sunday afternoon). We found out that they were out of Labatt Blue and the waitress had no clue of what other types of bottle beers they had. We sat so we could watch the 2 televisions, near the front door, that were turned to the NFL. We were the only ones really in that area, as there was a birthday party at the table behind us and the table in front of us was turned away from the games. We were part way through our beers when both televisions were flipped to golf. We finished our drinks and left. Three bad experiences means we won't be back.
