Never gets rowdy just a classic roadside stop. Usually you'll find a bunch of locals sitting at the bar. Lots of TVs for sports and what not. They used to have killer soup and salad bar that came with the larger entrees but with COVID you just get a plain choice of soup OR salad. The soups are homemade. I wish I could talk more about their menu but I go there for the biggest piece of Walleye I have ever seen on a plate. A two foot long fish had to die for your supper! And you get half of it. Lightly breaded in a potato crust and pan fried it keeps the fish moist and you can appreciate the taste of the fish! Served with your choice of veggies or potato any way you want it baked, fries or smashed. I have also had their fried cod it good but probably came off a truck. Maybe it's hand battered ask them. Lake perch is yummy too. Always walk away too stuffed for dessert.

There were two additional staff siting at a back table the bartender had to go ask them to Help. The food was good but service was one of the worst I've experienced. Would give zero stars if this was an option. We took the boat over for a "quick" lunch which ended up taking up most of the afternoon - 3 hours!!!

I certainly never would have found it if it weren't for Yelp, as it's kind of wedged in between 2 other buildings. I walked in and was greeted immediately. It seems to be another place that's popular with locals. The server was very good, and paid attention but didn't hover. I ordered that pulled pork tacos. It was a very odd combination of things: pulled pork inside soft tortillas with onion rings, and a few tortilla chips with refried beans and cheese on the side. But somehow, it managed to satisfy a bunch of cravings all at once! And while it didn't look like a huge portion, I could only eat half of it. I brought the other half home for another day. There were lots of interesting and appealing items on the menu. Do yourself a favor and stop by when you're in town.
