Just say the won tons were amazing!!! I believe they were the jalapeño ones. Service was good, waitress was extremely happy (ppl I was with said she was like that just because it was slow). Cute little bar/restaurant. I would go again. But the reason I gave a 4 was because I looked on yelp and they had a monte crisco (the 1st picture is what I got). It was not on the menu but I said something to the waitress and she said they could make it. Now it's not what was in yelp in the previous years and it's definitely not a monte crisco at least the ones that I know of. She did get me something else so that was nice. read more

Excellent food and cocktails! Their pork chop is delicious as well as their burgers. Service was also stellar!

The restaurant was very clean and spaced out in a way that made the large amount of customers fit comfortably. The atmosphere was nice warm and cozy with a litter of wild animals displayed on the walls from rams to an ostrich lol. We were sat in the middle and had a fairly easy time hearing each other and the waitresses. All the waitresses and people that we saw working there were very nice and seemed happy to be working, our waitress came to the table a good amount of times and handled our 4-way checks very well. The food was cooked and served to all 5 of us very quickly and made to our liking and we even had extra to take home. I will definitely be coming back with friends and my husband. read more

What a difference a doorway makes. From the outside you would never guess that the inside of this place looks the way it does. It's definitely a feast for the eyes checking out all of the memorabilia. The wait staff I have to say was kind of average nothing stood out. The food was good but again not really outstanding. This place opened up right before the start of Covid and they have managed to survive and thrive!! The food choices are great and the atmosphere was very nice. We aren't drinkers so I can't speak to the bar part of Beavers Pub, but the food and service were great. I ordered the southwest chicken wrap and it came with their specialty fries that were very tasty. The wrap was to huge to eat there so half of it came home in a carry out box. My friend got the coney dog and for $2.00 more he got a second coney dog. That also came with the specialty fries and he ate everything on his plate so I'm sure he liked his meal!! Went here on a total random draw and had an amazing visit. Didn't look at menu, just asked the waitress her two favorites and she suggested the Salmon summer salad and the maple burger. Then mentioned, since she was making the picks we should try the jalapeño egg roll/ wontons? Not sure on the exact name as we didn't look at the menu. Then suggested a cheesecake pumpkin pie dessert. Jalapeño rolls were perfect. Nice blend of cheese and cream cheese filling and fried to a crunchy perfection and not greasy. Served with a nice offset of a sweet fruit dip. The salmon salad- balanced mix of greens and fruit with a good piece of grilled salmon. The dressing was a BBQ vinaigrette- purely delicious. The maple burger was a solid good and really enjoyed the odd potato wedge/fry thing it was served with. Really should have read the menu for better descriptions. And the pumpkin cheesecake was a great finish. Went on a blind draw out of a hat and now will definitely go back. read more

On a drive to Central Lake, we stopped in Bay City for lunch. Beavers Pub was highly rated, so we chose it. Lots of easy parking, and a nice front on a pedestrian street. The interior has a large number of taxidermy mounts--aka stuffed animals. Probably a turnoff to PETA members, so be forewarned. The service is very prompt and friendly, and the food is tasty. We had the club sandwich and the perch sandwich. Both are great and strongly recommended. Price very reasonable. You should definitely make it a point to go; its like eating in a natural history museum! read more

11/30/2023 Heard great reviews so wife and I gave it a try, First thing we noticed was how cold it was inside , maybe the heat wasn't working, Interior was very nice we ordered wanton appetizer , not bad but would have been a lot better if hot oil wasn't running out of them wife ordered perch dinner , lightly breaded filets looked very good , she was pleased with it, however Beaver Tail's ( fries) were cold I ordered the LumberJack ( Steak Sandwich) sorry but it was nothing special , bread was nicely toasted but no garlic, onions were overpowering , little to no cheese and bacon was non existent Beaver Tails were also cold, , with the above being said service was great , we were asked several times if everything was alright, didn't complain, with everything being said I think we'll come back for another try ...... read more

I like beavers, pub a lot, but I have found that the food can be a little hit and miss. I've had the salmon twice. One time was excellent and the other time that's all good. I've had their burger and I did not care for that either, however, on my most recent visit, I had a nacho and eggrolls appetizers and they were both fantastic. I'm really not sure what guidance to give when ordering to be honest because it does just seem to be a little all over the map. The drinks are priced fairly and the service has always been pleasant. I like the atmosphere of the place too. Kind of has a cabin vibe to it. If you're in Bay City, it's certainly worth a try but maybe you should ask your server what's good on the menu that particular day read more

The decor and atmosphere are woodsy and cozy like you'd want a pub to be. Drinks are good and strong. The brisket could use some work, as both dishes with brisket were extremely tough. Stopped in for the first time at Beavers Pub and had the club. Loved the spread on it and everything about this sandwich. Bread was warm and perfect. I would definitely get that again. Wasn't sure what to expect with the wood chips but they were ok. Personally for me they had too much seasoning on it so I barely touched it. The ranch on the side was a good addition for the wood chips and I probably would have had more if it wasn't for the seasoning. Next time I'll ask for no seasoning. Service was excellent and our server checked on us a few times. We came in at a slow time so that was great for us and the ambiance was quiet and the staff attentive. Beavers is my favorite foodie joint downtown Bay City! The food is amazing - there truly is not one thing I've tried that I haven't LOVED! The service is always amazing! Sam or Kylie usually wait on us and they're the best!! The outdoor area is huge and it's so nice to enjoy outdoors on a nice day while having a drink. We've sat inside as well and enjoy sitting at the bar and talking to others. All around, Beavers is a must-go-to! Favorite item: jalapeño bacon wontons!! And they also have "the good ranch"! I chose a nice spot for my first visit to an actual restaurant to sit down and enjoy a meal at since March 13th. It's been a long four months! I was in Bay City and looking for lunch and found this place, thanks to Yelp :) I sat outside on a patio in the cute downtown area of Bay City - and I like what they've done there. They've blocked off some of the streets so that restaurants can expand their outdoor seating. Service was great, and so was the food. I had the sea scallops, which were wonderful! They were served with rice with a jalapeño cream sauce (although I didn't sense much jalapeño, it was still good) and green beans. I cleaned my plate :) It wasn't until the next day that I discovered that I left my credit card behind. Oops. And I'm an hour away from Bay City. So I called them, and they did in fact have my card and are going to mail it to me so I don't have to drive two hours to pick it up. Now that's service. Thank you, Becca!
