My truck overheated towing our travel trailer to an RV park in Groveland. A hose fitting broke on the heater core causing a bad leak and leaving the truck undrivable. Zach was able to squeeze us in on short notice and saved our trip. The parts needed weren't available locally, but he promptly bypassed heater core to get us back on the road and able continue our trip. So glad we found him and were able to finish out our trip. Zach fit us in for an emergency repair on the ac on our rv. He got our rig fixed quickly as temps were 100 degrees every day. We were especially grateful that he stepped up to fix our rv after the only other shop ( miller brothers) in town gave us an appointment a week earlier and even ordered parts in and then refused to do the work, saying they were too busy even though we had an appointment. I had a GREAT experience with The Tire Shop! After a number of tire problems Too long to get into, one tire blew apart in the middle of nowhere (no phone service). I put the spare on and found out while I was changing the first tire, I noticed a tire on the other side was flat. I limped to a place I could get insurance (the tire was wrecked!) Insurance took care of changing the flat. I decided to change the other two tires (dual axle). Only tire shop available was this tire shop. They ordered the tires and had them ready when we left camp (Yosemite Lakes RV) 4 days later. I show up at 11:30 am. They had the tires and put them on immediately. I sat in my truck still attached! REALLY?! How much better can it get. About 45 minutes and back on the road!!! SWEET! read more

Was driving up to PML one night and was met with a steaming engine once I reached the top of Old Priest. Thought the problem would subside by the morning but was met with a car overheating every mile or so. I called The Tire Shop on Thursday and they were completely booked for that day and Friday but was told to call at 12pm the next day just in case. I called the next day and Paul told me to bring my car by and they would see what they could do. Once I pulled my car in I knew it was in good hands. Paul and his staff had my vehicle done before the weekend and I was able to pick it up a few hours after! Im nowhere near a car guy and it's obvious so I often feel unsure about if I am getting scammed or not, but the cost pf the repair was more than fair! Excellent service. My sister's car broke down on a day trip to Yosemite- right at the park entrance. We were towed to The Tire Shop where Zach provided the BEST service. After fitting us into his busy schedule the day of, he provided us with above and beyond service. His brother drove out to Sonora to pick up a battery for our Prius so that we wouldn't have to wait another day for delivery. This was one of the best service places I've been to. I was with a friend on a road trip and the engine light came on. We came here and they did everything that they could to help us out. We were there for a while because the delivery people were late but the mechanics were constantly calling them to get them to speed up the delivery. Absolutely great place! These guys are the best. I was climbing New Priests Grade with our RV in tow on Monday afternoon when my radiator cracked near the Groveland. After limping our fifth wheel to the RV Park, I took my truck to the Tire Shop and Paul offered to take a look at it. With a limited time in the area, Paul and his team went right to work getting the parts necessary to get my truck back in running order. These guys are very friendly and nice but will take every opportunity to rip you off. The first time I went there they charged me almost double what any place else would for a simple tire patch. The second time they noticed a serious problem that needed to be corrected before an alignment could be done... well, they did the alignment anyway (or so they said) even though they knew full well that yet another alignment would have to be done after replacing some major parts in the steering mechanism. We ended up taking the car to the dealer who said the alignment done by The Tire Shop was not done "to spec". Interestingly, the total charge from the dealer was less than quoted by The Tire Shop and that included replacing another damaged part that these guys either missed or hadn't discovered yet. On top of that they somehow managed to kill the car's battery even though it was only sitting there for 3-4 days. I tried to think of more positive things to say, but it pretty much stops at "friendly and nice". read more

We were on a family vacation up in Yosemite Nat'l Park when my Ford F150's front wheel noise went from slightly noticeable to a crunching sound. I was referred to The Tire Shop in Groveland which was about the same distance from where we were at compared to another shop on the Yosemite Valley floor. It was already 2pm but the guy on the phone said to bring it on down. It helped that this shop also has an auto parts shop in the same parking lot. I limped my truck in at 3pm and in less than 5 minutes it was up on the lift. The mechanic and his boss quickly determined I had two bad wheel bearings creating a dangerous situation. They fixed the issue and got my family and I back on our vacation with a renewed piece of mind. I want to thank all the guys at the Tire Shop for their professional service and honest assessment of the issue as I thought it was my brakes and rotor which repairing that would have been far more costly.
