We continue to use Zach and his shop for all our vehicles. There is no better facility for your vehicle repair and tire needs. These folks are honest and great at what they do. If you want a facility with the "know how" and integrity, The Tire Shop is your place to go! read more

Zach at the tire shop continues to be one of the best mechanics in the county. Bought a 1999 4runner since my last one was stolen. Had the timing belt and valve cover gasket completed at an extremely reasonable price with a very fast turnaround. Don't think twice about giving the Tire Shop your business. read more

Absolutely amazing service! We brought our dually sprinter van here as my wife and I were traveling and Zach went above and beyond to ensure that we were tended to and safe to get back on the road! We cannot thank him enough and you can tell that him and the team here really cares about the customer! Nothing but the highest respect and gratitude for the tire shop! read more

Needed a tire after getting a flat coming up old priest. Not only did they have the tire that I needed but they put it on quick and for a great price. read more

Paul is a lifesaver. I blew a tire in Yosemite, made it back to Groveland on the spare, but needed new tires ASAP. Despite being swamped and not making it to his shop until late afternoon, Paul made sure I was road ready the next day for far less than I was expecting. Would highly recommend! read more

Up at the city camp and woke up to a flat. Called The Tire Shop and they told me to come down. Since the tire wasn't torn there may be a chance to fix it. They were right. After a few minutes wait, we found an old plug was leaking. They took care of it and yay, I was on my way. Bonus points for the metal tunes. Oh, and if the Around The Horn Brewery is open, you can pick up a nice 6-pack to go! read more

Zach fit us in for an emergency repair on the ac on our rv. He got our rig fixed quickly as temps were 100 degrees every day. We were especially grateful that he stepped up to fix our rv after the only other shop ( miller brothers) in town gave us an appointment a week earlier and even ordered parts in and then refused to do the work, saying they were too busy even though we had an appointment. Thanks Zach read more

I had a GREAT experience with The Tire Shop! After a number of tire problems Too long to get into, one tire blew apart in the middle of nowhere (no phone service). I put the spare on and found out while I was changing the first tire, I noticed a tire on the other side was flat. I limped to a place I could get insurance (the tire was wrecked!) Insurance took care of changing the flat. I decided to change the other two tires (dual axle). Only tire shop available was this tire shop. They ordered the tires and had them ready when we left camp (Yosemite Lakes RV) 4 days later. I show up at 11:30 am. They had the tires and put them on immediately. I sat in my truck still attached! REALLY?! How much better can it get. About 45 minutes and back on the road!!! SWEET! read more

The Tire Shop - Tires Near Me - Big Oak Flat, California

Our AWD vehicle had been making a sound that was progressively getting worse. Zach at The Tire Shop told us to bring it in the next day but to call beforehand. We did just that and spoke to Paul, he listened to a few concerns of ours, did an inspection and called us back that same day to say what was needed. We felt their service was quick, thorough, responsive & reasonably priced. Our car sounds so much better now too! read more

My truck overheated towing our travel trailer to an RV park in Groveland. A hose fitting broke on the heater core causing a bad leak and leaving the truck undrivable. Zach was able to squeeze us in on short notice and saved our trip. The parts needed weren't available locally, but he promptly bypassed heater core to get us back on the road and able continue our trip. So glad we found him and were able to finish out our trip. Incredible service and reasonably priced too. read more

I cannot recommend Paul and the Tire Shop enough! Our Subaru overheated on the way to Groveland and even though he was busy and they were closing, Paul took the time to check out our car and even came in on his day off to work on it. He fixed it for a very reasonable price by replacing the thermostat and we were able to return home. Paul and his team are professional, friendly, and great at what they do. If we lived in the area, we wouldn't go to anyone else. Thank you Paul and the Tire Shop! You saved us! read more

Paul and Zack are excellent mechanics which is why my only hesitation is they are very busy. They have gotten both my jeep and truck in good working order. read more

I was living in the area for just about a year and this was the easiest, best service, fair, trusting service center around. They serviced brakes, tire replacement, oil changes, safety check, a/c repair, battery service, and more in a timely manner. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area or even as someone passing through with an emergency. The owner Paul and his son are friendly guys who will tell you what your vehicle needs/doesn't need. They know the proper way to repair the vehicle and could diagnose problems easily. Great shop to take your vehicle for repair/maintenance. read more

Was driving up to PML one night and was met with a steaming engine once I reached the top of Old Priest. Thought the problem would subside by the morning but was met with a car overheating every mile or so. I called The Tire Shop on Thursday and they were completely booked for that day and Friday but was told to call at 12pm the next day just in case. I called the next day and Paul told me to bring my car by and they would see what they could do. Once I pulled my car in I knew it was in good hands. Paul and his staff had my vehicle done before the weekend and I was able to pick it up a few hours after! Im nowhere near a car guy and it's obvious so I often feel unsure about if I am getting scammed or not, but the cost pf the repair was more than fair! You can trust Paul and his team and I will be going back for anymore car needs! read more

We had a tire blow out just as we were leaving Yosemite (12/28 ... the Monday following Christmas) . The next morning I told our car in and within 30 minutes we're we out with 2 new tires. You get the vibe this is a business where they know their stuff and are absolute straight shooters. The dad (owner) has passion for doing the right thing and his son got everything up fast and efficiently. Have to say the dogs are cool. read more

Jim K. Groveland Needed run-flat tires and was concerned the price would be much higher here in the Sierras. Not so. The prices were competitive and the service was prompt and professional. read more

We have always trusted The Tire Shop with all our vehicles but this time they went WAY beyond the call of duty finding and repairing a completely obscure problem that was causing the "Check Engine" light to stay on. Zach spent HOURS finding the problem, determined to make the repairs when I suspect most shops would not have been willing to spend the time. Thank you! read more

Need to leave this positive review. On a trip to Yosemite recently we got a flat. Was able to see these guys on a Saturday morning, get fixed up, AND it was like $20. We have an RV to tow so the flat had me really worried for our trip, these guys took care of it easy and at a normal price. Very thankful for the help and would recommend the shop to anyone in the area with car trouble! read more

So I needed 4 rear tires confirmed price and size. They said they would have the tires following day. I had spoken with them twice already to confirm I wanted them, next day drive an hour to their shop for them to say they didn't order them, thank you for wasting time and money. Poor unprofessional service. read more

Excellent service. My sister's car broke down on a day trip to Yosemite- right at the park entrance. We were towed to The Tire Shop where Zach provided the BEST service. After fitting us into his busy schedule the day of, he provided us with above and beyond service. His brother drove out to Sonora to pick up a battery for our Prius so that we wouldn't have to wait another day for delivery. Zach was amiable, accommodating, incredibly hard working, and overall amazing! Although I hope you don't have to spend a day at an auto shop... if you do, this is definitely the place to go! read more

This was one of the best service places I've been to. I was with a friend on a road trip and the engine light came on. We came here and they did everything that they could to help us out. We were there for a while because the delivery people were late but the mechanics were constantly calling them to get them to speed up the delivery. Absolutely great place! I wish they were at home because I'd always go here for anything I needed. read more

Top flight shop. I was spending time in Groveland when my car broke down. Not only did they fix my car, they came and got it from my work and returned it to my place of business when I couldn't. Couldn't ask for more. read more

Flat tire (sidewall gash) almost ruined family vacation but these guys took care it. Ordered tire at 5PM and was there the next morning at 10AM. Replaced tire within 20 minutes and was back on the road again. These guys rock! read more

Good service and pricing for all brands of tires. Make sure to get a local competitive bid from Sonora. Open Saturday 9~Noon for repairs.

These guys are the best. I was climbing New Priests Grade with our RV in tow on Monday afternoon when my radiator cracked near the Groveland. After limping our fifth wheel to the RV Park, I took my truck to the Tire Shop and Paul offered to take a look at it. With a limited time in the area, Paul and his team went right to work getting the parts necessary to get my truck back in running order. By midday Tuesday all the work was complete and our roadtrip was back on schedule with hardly a hiccup. This is a very honest shop with very reasonable prices! Thanks Paul! read more

Got a flat tire while staying in the area. Dropped by this shop and received excellent customer service. We were in and out of there quickly and at a reasonable price. Excellent workmanship as well. No complaints. read more

These guys are very friendly and nice but will take every opportunity to rip you off. The first time I went there they charged me almost double what any place else would for a simple tire patch. The second time they noticed a serious problem that needed to be corrected before an alignment could be done... well, they did the alignment anyway (or so they said) even though they knew full well that yet another alignment would have to be done after replacing some major parts in the steering mechanism. We ended up taking the car to the dealer who said the alignment done by The Tire Shop was not done "to spec". Interestingly, the total charge from the dealer was less than quoted by The Tire Shop and that included replacing another damaged part that these guys either missed or hadn't discovered yet. On top of that they somehow managed to kill the car's battery even though it was only sitting there for 3-4 days. I tried to think of more positive things to say, but it pretty much stops at "friendly and nice". read more

We were on a family vacation up in Yosemite Nat'l Park when my Ford F150's front wheel noise went from slightly noticeable to a crunching sound. I was referred to The Tire Shop in Groveland which was about the same distance from where we were at compared to another shop on the Yosemite Valley floor. It was already 2pm but the guy on the phone said to bring it on down. It helped that this shop also has an auto parts shop in the same parking lot. I limped my truck in at 3pm and in less than 5 minutes it was up on the lift. The mechanic and his boss quickly determined I had two bad wheel bearings creating a dangerous situation. They fixed the issue and got my family and I back on our vacation with a renewed piece of mind. I want to thank all the guys at the Tire Shop for their professional service and honest assessment of the issue as I thought it was my brakes and rotor which repairing that would have been far more costly. I also might add the owner of that Napa Auto Parts store next door was very helpful as well. read more

We stopped in on our drive out of Yosemite with a screw in our tire. They were able to patch the tire within minutes. Everyone was friendly including the handsome dog! With being in a foreign area it was nice to find a trustworthy shop that took credit cards! read more
