In addition to that, the owners at The Fat Donkey were super generous and treated my family going through a hard emotional time and having a special meal together to ice cream for dessert. Not only is the ice cream thick, creamy, and generously portioned, but the owners are kind and deserving of your business.

I was hoping for savory and found little on the menu in that category. There was one customer before me who could not make up her mind and only one employee. After a sunny day at the beach, our group of eight walked to this shop and decided on buying a whole pie for $18 instead of two slices at $5 a pop. Certainly the better deal, but we also didn't want to regret later for not ordering enough. Well, it was a very good decision. We devoured the whole pie in one sitting like a bunch of starving hyenas seeing food for the first time in weeks. There was not a crumb left by the time we finished. The pie was as great as they say, and definitely one of the best I ever had. Just the right amount sour and tartness without being overly sweet. If I were to nitpick, then I would like a slightly thicker graham cracker crust. Not sure when I'll come back to Cape Canaveral again. However, if I do, this may have become stop number one on my list. You can find beaches everywhere, but an excellent key lime pies is a treasure you rarely discover.

We…read morejust happened to stumble onto this little gem of a shop after visiting Ron Jon's main shop across the street. The word "ice cream" caught my eye, and even if it was late February, the weather was warm, which is strange, given a week prior to our arrival, it was freezing cold, so ice cream it was. There was a little line in the store, with only one man scooping ice cream for a bunch of people waiting (who was also the cashier). It was funny to see how people would copy each other with choosing the flavor; the lady in front said "sweet cream" flavor, and each successive person behind her said the same thing, even if they were not with her. I stuck to my guns and got the Key Lime Pie Ice cream, which was a great choice! Sweet, creamy and tangy, all the right combo! They also have candies, salt water taffies of all flavors, beer, alligator jerky, Tortuga rum cakes, key lime pies, a huge wall of hot sauces, and gifts. I ended up walking out with a bottle of hot sauce and orange blossom perfume roller ball, which was very nice. Prices were reasonable given this is tourist-town.

Surprisingly a lot of seating indoors and a few tables outdoor. We ordered it for pickup and it was ready within 20 min. The food was decent, but the service was horrible when we picked up our order. We were standing at the door for quite a while before anyone acknowledged us and they definitely saw us. I asked for ketchup and hot sauce to go and the girl gave me little cups and said "they're over there on the table you can grab it." No ketchup packets or anything? We are visiting and don't have condiments at our Airbnb. The servers were all dismissive. Rude service, we definitely won't be back. Steak&eggs: (2/5) We ordered MEDIUM and the steak came out hard and overly well done. Disappointment for the price of the tiny piece of steak. Omelette: (4/5) This was pretty good. Nice portion. The breakfast potatoes were delicious. Sourdough toast: (4/5) Huge slices of bread and it was very tasty.

Brownie was amazing and not overly rich like I was expecting by the look of it. Was a great snack on the beach. The cookie was massive and took me a few days to finish it. It had lots of flavors. It's more hard than soft which is expected for a bar style. I wasn't a big fan of the cake parfait cause of the butter cream. The icing was too sweet. It would have been better with the cream cheese frosting. The cake was moist and delicious. The candy bits were too sweet for my liking so I just tossed the icing and candy and ate the rest. I would definitely try more of her items. She accepted credit cards and items were $6-8 for the most part.
