The tiny turtle is a great spot in Cocoa. The food was delicious and of course authentic. The service was excellent and our waitress was so sweet. The restaurant has a really cool laid back island feel. I loved the shrimp pinchos. The sauce was unreal. The black bean rice was moist and flavorful. I really enjoyed trying a local cider. They have a ton of drink options to include the largest selections of mocktails I've seen in the area. They had pages of all kind of Florida Brewery's. I absolutely recommend stopping in for lunch. The prices were also excellent. Extremely affordable for the area.

Cute cozy spot with great friendly service and delicious fresh food. Lots of options for seating inside or out. Bathroom was a bit of a disaster and not toilet paper though. Parking lot across the street. Next to a yummy ice cream shop.

We stumbled upon The Tiny Turtle when looking for a place to grab a late lunch after going to the Brevard Zoo and are so happy we did. It's 5 stars all around! Our server Grace and the other staff were great. The front patio is a great place to chillax with some apps and cool refreshing beverages. There's a nice buffer of trees so you don't feel like you're sitting right on the sidewalk. The Sofrito bowl with Mahi Mahi was amazing. The black bean rice with the guacamole and beach slaw worked so well together. Topping it with perfectly cooked Mahi completely put it over the top. I loved the way all the flavors complimented each other. The chicken and cheese empanadas were freshly cooked and tasted great. We can't wait to go back!

Small carribean inspired spot. I stopped in on a Monday during lunch hours in the off season. It was slow so the food arrived to my table quickly. I ordered a small sofrito nacho plate with mahi mahi. It had a hint of spice but was mostly covered in wet sauces. I love condiments & I love a saucy dish but it was a bit much with salsa, guacamole, sour cream & some type of house sauce. It all kind of overpowered the meal. It didn't really hit the spot for me. Menu is intentionally small and somewhat the same dish served in different ways; burrito, salad, bowl, nachos, etc. Service was great! Very friendly and welcoming.

This place remains to be one of the best restaurants in Cocoa Beach! The mahi sandwich is the best!!!! They even have Cuban coffee!

We headed right to Cocoa Beach after we landed in Orlando. We were really hungry, so we decided to try The Tiny Turtle--and we are so glad we did! Our server was so friendly, and got to our table quickly. We ordered drinks while we tried to figure out what to eat. The kids got meals from the kids menu--a pork quesadilla and a cheeseburger, both with black bean rice on the side. My husband and I shared the Sofrito Burrito with roasted island pork, and we had to try it "wet style" (with more of all the sauces on top--YUM!). Food was so flavorful and fresh! I saw the nachos going to another table, and those looked awesome, too! Glad we stopped in. HIGHY RECOMMEND!

I love the chill , island vibes here! They even played music from one of my favorite bands- Stick Figure. The CB punch drink was so tasty and delicious , it's a blend of the perfect amounts of rum and juices. Sofrito bowl was the best! Again, perfectly balanced flavors and fresh! Definitely visit here when you are in Cocoa Beach

This place was great--server had delicious recommendations and very polite. Perfect for a day after the beach!!

A little slice of home in Cocoa Beach. Bravo Chef Moises! Hadn't had a tripleta like that since the food trucks outside University of Puerto Rico (UPR). Cafe con leche on point. Chill vibes.

Pros: Ambiance is very cool. Very beachy, semi-tiki, mellow and chill. There's a nice outdoor patio dining room that we sat in, covered to keep the sun out. Service was pretty good. Our server was nice enough, and the food came out in no time. No concerns there. As for the food, it was simple, but delicious. Who knew that adding some Island seasoning to some basic dishes can really make them pop? Cons: The server, who struck me as a manager, didn't have a good working knowledge of the drink menu at all, but we made due. Tips: Get the nachos, and get the catch of the day on them. If you've never had fish nachos before, you will love them. Also, get the burrito if you like burritos. Some breakfast burritos fall kind of flat and are disappointing, but these were gooood.

We came here one day while we were exploring the Space Coast a little bit. We have a buddy who lives out there, so we parked by his condo and walked over here to the Tiny Turtle. We chose the Turtle because it landed on the best places to eat in the US in 2024, which is a pretty prestigious list, so we were pretty excited. Ambiance was sooo chill. It's right next door to the best ice cream on the coast, the Fat Donkey. Thatched roof, tiki stuff, lots of outdoor seating. Nice vibes. Service was prompt and mostly the same: chill, beachy, islandy. Very nice lady. She struck me as the owner, or at least management. As for the food, we opened up with an appetizer. We got the nachos and for the protein, we chose the catch of the day, I think it was mahi that day. No one I was with had had fish nachos before, but they quickly became fans. The fish flaked well, and there were plentiful toppings that were layered well. It was also not a very large dish, so you didn't have to ration your protein too much. You could just eat and enjoy. I moved on to my main entrée, the Triple T Toastie (Scrambled eggs, white American cheese, shredded cheese, potato sticks, and Creme Caribe pressed in Sobao bread. Choice of veggies, bacon, sausage or ham. - Upgrade to all 3 meats). Of course I upgraded to all three meats. Very good sandwich. Excellent, quality fillings, bread that was pressed hard and delicious, and it was large enough to contain all the fillings and not be leaking out and falling out everywhere. A well crafted sandwich, paired well with the potato sticks that added a very satisfying crunch. I also got to eat half of a Wake up Burrito Scrambled eggs, potato hash, Queso Caribe, guacamole, sour cream, roasted tomatillo sauce, and Creme Caribe. Choice of bacon, sausage, chorizo, ham, Roasted Island Pork). Very good burrito, stuffed to the brim, and able to be picked up by hand, which was good, I don't like knife and fork breakfast burritos. Overall, this was a super chill, super cozy little place that can offer you a delicious breakfast before you head out to get your beach on. Or where you can send a runner to get some takeout and bring it to you while you're On the beach. Really nice. I hope to come back one day.

This place was delicious the sofritas bowl was so exquisitely bussin I wish I got a large. I will be coming back tomorrow for another bowl before we go home. Wow. The service was friendly as well along with the chill ambiance. Thoroughly enjoyed this place 10/10.

This place had such a cool vibe and the food was delicious.. we were new in town and wanted to get a unique experience after our beach trip. We stumble into this unique gem and did not disappoint. I had the sofrito bowl with roasted island pork, I initially orders the small size and regretted thinking I should've gone for the bigger size but the small was more than enough. The rest of my party ordered the sofrito burrito and they were all very impressed.

Came in not knowing what to expect... but was very pleasantly surprised! The restaurant was very clean and well maintained, the shop staff was very nice and patient, and my food (as well as the dishes I sampled from my companions) was probably the best thing that I ate on my entire 2 week vacation through Florida. The ambiance is very laid back -you can definitely visit wearing beach casual (appropriate) clothing and not be out of place. The shop has an extensive wine and beer menu for the type of casual establishment that it is. If you are visiting Coco Beach, do yourself a favor and check out tiny turtle! read more

If you like bland food, then this is the place for you. The salsa was good but other than that, none of our party enjoyed their food. Disappointing, especially given the great reviews by others. I swear the tortilla chips were a store brand out of a bag, and not a good one. For your money I would choose another place. read more

Funky little hole-in-the-wall with delicious Caribbean food. Menu is short but there are good options. I had the seafood wrap made with shrimp - my daughter had it made with mahi. we went to the tiny turtle in cocoa beach for dinner last night after reading all the reviews, i was excited to finally try it...i was blown away...it was so good...we both had sofrito bowls - one pork and one shrimp (the shrimp was mind blowing :) - which were great, but we began by splitting the PB&J BBQ pork sliders, yes, PB&J BBQ...just a hint of PB and the thai "jelly" was outrageous...and each slider was a generous size...and then, of course, we had the tough choice of tiny turtle dessert or the ice cream next door...we opted to split a piece of the peanut butter chocolate rum cake...wow! haha...we had to waddle out but we were happy campers...an extraordinary meal...oh, and the service was perfect and really friendly...highly recommend. read more

Tried the quinoa bowl and it was to die for. The flavors were amazing. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was bc the toppings were a bit scarce. It was mainly a lot of quinoa and kale with a small scoop of guacamole, small scoop of chicken, and small scoop of salsa. I would've liked to enjoy the rest of those flavors with the large amount of quinoa. Additionally, the sauce is extra and the side of plantains is only two small pieces. Kind of expected a little more sustenance for an $18 meal. BUT it was delicious so I still gave it 4 stars. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE. When ordering there was no description that food was spicy. I ordered a quinoa bowl and it was spicy which I couldn't understand since I didn't order it spicy. I told the waitress and she didn't do or apologize about it. It wasn't disclosed that they charged $3.99 for 3 pieces of shrimp with the quinoa. My friend asked for a little bit of tomatillo sauce and was charged $2. We asked about it and no apology, no resolution.i did not enjoy the food. Ended up with a headache! History

Established in 2013.

Inspired by his Grandmother's and Mother's cooking, the flavorful Sofrito base of Puerto Rico, and his own restaurant experiences, Chef Moises has created a menu and environment that will transport you to an island experience full of flavor and a laid back feeling. Opening during the famed Art Show that happens every year in Downtown Cocoa Beach as what was called Food Truck Style, being just a kitchen on the back of a building with a patio and picnic tables for seating, it has now evolved into a full service restaurant but still giving that feeling of a small local "Hidden Gem".

Meet the Business Owner: Moises y Kelly C.

Born in Puerto Rico Moises' family moved to Florida in the 80's spending the first couple years in South Florida and then relocating to Central Florida. Always having the dream of owning his own restaurant he was given the opportunity after meeting a good friend a couple years after moving to Cocoa Beach. He had spent 2 years prior to the start of The Tiny Turtle gaining knowledge and experience in the restaurant field. Each opportunity he grew into lead cook, managing the kitchen and creating new menu items. He has been surrounded by many, including his wife Kelly, that have all had a part at helping him fulfill his dream and is forever grateful for the love and support.

After a sunny day at the beach, our group of eight walked to this shop and decided on buying a whole pie for $18 instead of two slices at $5 a pop. Certainly the better deal, but we also didn't want to regret later for not ordering enough. Well, it was a very good decision. We devoured the whole pie in one sitting like a bunch of starving hyenas seeing food for the first time in weeks. There was not a crumb left by the time we finished. The pie was as great as they say, and definitely one of the best I ever had. Just the right amount sour and tartness without being overly sweet. If I were to nitpick, then I would like a slightly thicker graham cracker crust. Not sure when I'll come back to Cape Canaveral again. The word "ice cream" caught my eye, and even if it was late February, the weather was warm, which is strange, given a week prior to our arrival, it was freezing cold, so ice cream it was. There was a little line in the store, with only one man scooping ice cream for a bunch of people waiting (who was also the cashier). It was funny to see how people would copy each other with choosing the flavor; the lady in front said "sweet cream" flavor, and each successive person behind her said the same thing, even if they were not with her. I stuck to my guns and got the Key Lime Pie Ice cream, which was a great choice! Sweet, creamy and tangy, all the right combo! They also have candies, salt water taffies of all flavors, beer, alligator jerky, Tortuga rum cakes, key lime pies, a huge wall of hot sauces, and gifts. I ended up walking out with a bottle of hot sauce and orange blossom perfume roller ball, which was very nice. Prices were reasonable given this is tourist-town.

The Culinary Institute of America. Our daughter actually graduated from their Baking & Pastry program in San Antonio, so we were already inclined to give the place a try. But I digress. The moment you walk in, the smell of bacon smacks you right in the face. In the best possible way. So. Dang. Good. We stopped in on a busy Sunday afternoon. The dining room was hopping. A few tables could have been bussed a little quicker, my chair needed a quick swipe-down before I sat, and there were a few chips hanging out on the floor. Normally I'd notice those things more, but then the bacon smell hit again and suddenly none of it seemed quite as important. I ordered two perfectly cooked over-medium eggs, sliced tomatoes (instead of potatoes), and a biscuit. I chose the biscuit over toast or an English muffin with absolutely no intention of eating it. My plan was to take it home for one of the kids. Then I took one bite. Friends, this was THE best biscuit I have ever eaten in my entire life. I don't throw around statements like that lightly. If you visit Banana River Cafe and order absolutely nothing else, order the biscuits. They deserve their own Yelp page. My husband got what I think was called the Power Bowl--a delicious-looking pile of rice, beans, carnitas, and all the ingredients that make a great burrito bowl. Our son absolutely housed his French toast. Our daughter ordered the Rosemary Chicken Salad Wrap with pasta salad. I sampled the chicken salad. It had a whisper of rosemary. A polite suggestion of rosemary. A rosemary cameo appearance. If you're going to call it Rosemary Chicken Salad, I'd personally vote for a little more rosemary. My daughter loved it, though. She also loved the pasta salad but wasn't a fan of the Parmesan sprinkled on top. If Parmesan must be involved, let's keep it to the kind that comes from a block and not the green plastic shaker. Just my two cents. The staff was friendly, service was great, and soda refills appeared before we even had to ask. I also loved the local artwork displayed throughout the restaurant. Every piece has a price tag, so if something catches your eye, you can literally take it home with you. Great food, great service, incredible biscuits, and enough bacon aroma to improve your mood instantly. We'll definitely be back.

Would order again. The fries were crispy and plentiful (we chose Old Bay seasoning). Totally satisfied. The Crab Balls were good, but not necessarily something I'll likely crave. They came with a cocktail jelly (not sauce) and some tartar sauce. I would've preferred an aioli instead for them. The sauces were just unusual to me and let me down just a bit.
