Lucky me I ordered their signature dish....The Sofrito.... the rice was HARD !!!!!, lacking flavor, I did let the server know, and she apologized saying that I got the last scraps of the bowl and they are going to give me another one. However.... Signature dish... = crunchy rice...if they are a good restaurant, it shouldn't had happened in the first place. They've done some serious renovations and are still in the process of expanding. Located about 2 blocks from the beach. It was dead on a Saturday afternoon, not sure tourists are venturing this far away from the Coconuts area. Friendly service w/ some tasty, reasonably priced food and drinks. Nothing really spectacular about the place per se. It's just a good spot to grab lunch when beachside. I'll check back in a while when the construction in the rear is completed. read more

I'm convinced now that minuteman by the beach has the best places to eat. Fat kahunas, Fat Donkeys and now, the tiny turtle. Was thrilled with this place and the Asian Caribbean fusion. The hostess recommended the sofritos bowl and we also tried the pork and chicken pinchos. Everything was cooked perfect and came with an awesome dipping sauce. We tried the sofrito bowls. My mom's was pork and she didn't offer to share anything so it must have been good. I had the one with mahi mahi. Fish was great! The rice and beans that come with it isn't traditional but go very well with the meal. Beware however that it's loaded with cumin! SO yummy! Little place which my parents were skeptic about at first, but one bite of their meal and there was silence...delicious! We had the chicken and the beef sofrito bowls, as well as a Mahi Mahi wrap, all were excellent and quickly consumed by my hungry family. PARKING: I suggest parking across the street from the Fat Donkey on Minuteman pkwy, then walk across the street right past the Donkey(come back later for dessert), and the Tiny Turtle is on the backside of the building. Plenty of tables to eat outside, or take your food to the beach. I can't say enough about the great service! They do take cash and credit, prices very reasonable. read more

The Tiny Turtle is always consistent and although the menu is small the selection is good. The food is always good and the atmosphere is relaxed. Highly recommended and well worth the effort! This place is awesome! So glad we stumbled upon it due to the other great reviews. It's a hole in the wall divey establishment that offers street parking and a meter parking across the street. Inside/outside tables and neat decor. We had the salad, bowl and son had the quesadilla. The food here is pretty good like most of the places in cocoa beach, but this place really tricks people when it comes to the menu. It said tacos $5 on the menu so I ordered mahi tacos and was told $2 extra for mahi since the order comes with 3 tacos I got charged $2 for each taco !!!!! I COULDN'T believe it. Bill came out for one taco and a hot dog with a few beers for $52!!! I recommend going to long doggers and et good food cheaper drinks and NO TOURIST PRICES like the tiny turtle. read more

We stopped here on a Thursday afternoon while driving from the airport to our hotel for a weekend getaway. We read yelp reviews and decided to check it out. We highly recommend this restaurant as it had delicious food with many options. And also many healthy options. And a drink menu! The staff were very attentive and the decor so cozy and carribean. I had the tacos with mahi and shrimp and they were the best! I wish i ordered 3 instead of 2. We also had sofritos salad with beef and mahi and iT was also delicious. Huge salad. The Sofrito Bowls are awesome. All of my trips to the Space Coast area include at least one (sometimes more) trip to The Tiny Turtle. All of the sofrito bowl variations are worth trying. The bowls include black beans and rice topped with guacamole, sour cream and a Caribe creamy sauce. The bowl is served with sweet plantains and a beach slaw. Protein choices are beef, pork, chicken, mahi-mahi, or shrimp; all are very good but my favorites are the mahi, shrimp, and chicken. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. read more

Very nice and cozy place. They have inside and outside seats but we were in the inside, that is a shared space of gifts shop and restaurant. Well decorated, clean and comfy. We ordered two sofrito bowls and rice with chicken from the kids menu. The sofrito bowls, one with shrimps and the other with beef and shrimps were very good, with enough quantity to keep you satisfied and very tasty. On my opinion, the sauce that covers the sofrito could be avoided and the dish would be even better, as the rice it's having a lot of taste and flavor but I guess that's the way it's made. Probably next time, I will ask to not include the sauce. Service was good and attentive and all and all we had a very good lunch there. Would recommend it for families with kids. read more

I just can't get enough of the tiny turtle!!! We ate here two times on our 2 week vacation to the space coast and I can not wait to return when we visit the area next year. The Tiny Turtle is so amazing! They are environmentally conscious. The use paper straws in efforts to keep the plastic straws from hurting the sea turtles and paper to go containers! The decor is so cute and they have a huge patio! We purchased a couple of their really cute cozies and some beautiful turtle sarongs and we love them. On to the food already! My husband had the Caribbean dog the first time we visited and the Tripleta sandwich the second time and he raved about them both. They looked delicious! I however am celiac so I was unable to try either. And the best part is the Tiny Turtle is gluten-free friendly!!!! I had a Sofrito bowl each time we went. The first one with pork and the second with the beef picadillo and I added the mango caribe on the side. Let me tell you I think I could eat here every day!! I am going to have to start experimenting in my kitchen to recreate. The seasoned black bean rice! the caribe sauce! oh the Caribbean slaw or whatever so yummy yummy and the guacamole might be the best I have ever had. Oh Tiny Turtle I wish I was your neighbor.
