Small carribean inspired spot. I stopped in on a Monday during lunch hours in the off season. It was slow so the food arrived to my table quickly. I ordered a small sofrito nacho plate with mahi mahi. It had a hint of spice but was mostly covered in wet sauces. I love condiments & I love a saucy dish but it was a bit much with salsa, guacamole, sour cream & some type of house sauce. It all kind of overpowered the meal. It didn't really hit the spot for me. Menu is intentionally small and somewhat the same dish served in different ways; burrito, salad, bowl, nachos, etc. Service was great! Very friendly and welcoming.

This place was delicious the sofritas bowl was so exquisitely bussin I wish I got a large. I will be coming back tomorrow for another bowl before we go home. Wow. The service was friendly as well along with the chill ambiance. Thoroughly enjoyed this place 10/10.

I love the chill , island vibes here! They even played music from one of my favorite bands- Stick Figure. The CB punch drink was so tasty and delicious , it's a blend of the perfect amounts of rum and juices. Sofrito bowl was the best! Again, perfectly balanced flavors and fresh! A little slice of home in Cocoa Beach. Bravo Chef Moises! Hadn't had a tripleta like that since the food trucks outside University of Puerto Rico (UPR). Cafe con leche on point. Chill vibes.

Pros: Ambiance is very cool. Very beachy, semi-tiki, mellow and chill. There's a nice outdoor patio dining room that we sat in, covered to keep the sun out. Service was pretty good. Our server was nice enough, and the food came out in no time. No concerns there. As for the food, it was simple, but delicious. Who knew that adding some Island seasoning to some basic dishes can really make them pop? Cons: The server, who struck me as a manager, didn't have a good working knowledge of the drink menu at all, but we made due. Tips: Get the nachos, and get the catch of the day on them. If you've never had fish nachos before, you will love them. Also, get the burrito if you like burritos. Some breakfast burritos fall kind of flat and are disappointing, but these were gooood.

We came here one day while we were exploring the Space Coast a little bit. We have a buddy who lives out there, so we parked by his condo and walked over here to the Tiny Turtle. We chose the Turtle because it landed on the best places to eat in the US in 2024, which is a pretty prestigious list, so we were pretty excited. Ambiance was sooo chill. It's right next door to the best ice cream on the coast, the Fat Donkey. Thatched roof, tiki stuff, lots of outdoor seating. Nice vibes. Service was prompt and mostly the same: chill, beachy, islandy. Very nice lady. She struck me as the owner, or at least management. As for the food, we opened up with an appetizer. We got the nachos and for the protein, we chose the catch of the day, I think it was mahi that day. No one I was with had had fish nachos before, but they quickly became fans. The fish flaked well, and there were plentiful toppings that were layered well. It was also not a very large dish, so you didn't have to ration your protein too much. You could just eat and enjoy. I moved on to my main entrée, the Triple T Toastie (Scrambled eggs, white American cheese, shredded cheese, potato sticks, and Creme Caribe pressed in Sobao bread. Choice of veggies, bacon, sausage or ham. - Upgrade to all 3 meats). Of course I upgraded to all three meats. Very good sandwich. Excellent, quality fillings, bread that was pressed hard and delicious, and it was large enough to contain all the fillings and not be leaking out and falling out everywhere. A well crafted sandwich, paired well with the potato sticks that added a very satisfying crunch. I also got to eat half of a Wake up Burrito Scrambled eggs, potato hash, Queso Caribe, guacamole, sour cream, roasted tomatillo sauce, and Creme Caribe. Choice of bacon, sausage, chorizo, ham, Roasted Island Pork). Very good burrito, stuffed to the brim, and able to be picked up by hand, which was good, I don't like knife and fork breakfast burritos. Overall, this was a super chill, super cozy little place that can offer you a delicious breakfast before you head out to get your beach on. Or where you can send a runner to get some takeout and bring it to you while you're On the beach. Really nice. I hope to come back one day.

This place had such a cool vibe and the food was delicious.. we were new in town and wanted to get a unique experience after our beach trip. We stumble into this unique gem and did not disappoint. I had the sofrito bowl with roasted island pork, I initially orders the small size and regretted thinking I should've gone for the bigger size but the small was more than enough. The rest of my party ordered the sofrito burrito and they were all very impressed.

Holy crap this place has such big portions, but I am loving it! My husband and I ordered the sofrito bowl and cuban to split, and it was honestly so much food. We left feeling STUFFED - but it's hard to complain when the food was delicious. No regrets! The Cuban had a lot of meat and soft bread, which I appreciated because I don't like my sandwich bread to be too hard and painful to eat. For the sofrito bowl, I recommend getting the plantain and coleslaw as the added sides! I will definitely be returning!

We love it here! Even with all the bar options nearby, this is our go-to. It's never overly crowded and the employees are friendly and attentive. We have loved the empanadas and I had a DELICIOUS wrap today. The plantains seemed well cooked and were super good. Yum!

A Hidden Gem with Caribbean Flavor! We've been to Cocoa Beach many times and somehow never heard of Tiny Turtle--but now we'll never forget it. A few locals recommended it to us on separate occasions, so we finally checked it out--and we're so glad we did! The food was excellent--we had the Tripleta sandwich and the cheesesteak, both absolutely mouthwatering. The bread was soft and fresh, and the flavors were spot on. The menu has a Latin-Caribbean flair, thanks to the Puerto Rican chef, and it really shows in the seasoning and creativity. Service was great--Murphy took care of us and made the experience even better. The beers were ice cold, and we were excited to see Medalla, a local Puerto Rican beer, on the menu. It was quiet when we arrived--so quiet we almost left--but we came between lunch and dinner, so we get it. Still, this place deserves to be packed. We've learned they've been around for about 12 years, and now we'll be recommending them just like the locals did with us. Don't miss this spot. It's a true gem with delicious food and warm, friendly vibes.

This is my second review one year later and the food is just as good. We've never eaten inside the restaurant as we always get it to go but the inside is a cool vibe with the bar room separate from the dining area. They have local art for sale as well as some merch and souvenirs. We called for pickup right at the transition from breakfast to lunch so our order took about 30 minutes from call to out the door. We will be back again to try the breakfast burrito, but this time got a pork and a chicken Sofrito burrito. They're so good every time. I really hope this place stays in business!

My husband and I were visiting Cocoa Beach for 4 days and went to lunch at the Tiny Turtle the day we arrived and liked it so much we went back for lunch the following day and breakfast on our last full day. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced. The small soffrito bowl (about $11) is the perfect size to satisfy without feeling completely stuffed and uncomfortable. Their slow cooked pork is so good and moist. I had the same on my Huevos Rancheros on our third visit. I love Huevos Rancheros and I think this was the best version of it I've ever had! The eggs over easy were perfectly cooked runny yokes but fully cooked whites. I dug in too quickly to think to snap a photo first! The other big selling point for me is that they squeeze their own lime, lemon and orange juices so their house margarita at only $9 is absolutely delicious! It goes down too easily but with such a good price why not get a second?? Our second lunch I tried the mahi mahi tacos and I appreciated that the fish was grilled and not fried so there are menu options that are fairly healthy. This day I opted to only have 1 margarita and then have an ice cream at Fat Donkey Ice Cream directly next door. We liked eating outside on the front patio with the tiki-style thatched roof. The staff is also very friendly and attentive. Go check out the Tiny Turtle! We'll definitely be back!

I love the atmosphere felt very Florida like and once you're inside, it really doesn't seem that tiny. Of my aunt and I had tacos and they were all delicious. We finished the meal with Keylime pie . It was a bit nontraditional and seemed a little bit more like a cheesecake, but I really enjoyed it. My aunt had really expected more of a traditional key line so she wasn't quite as happy with her although she enjoyed the taste . Overall, I had a great experience

Only giving it 4 stars because although the food was phenomenal, the blah service we received took away from the experience. The food takes a fair amount of time to come out, but its fresh, well-seasoned and delicious. The only downside was that the staff seems too busy socializing to take care of the customers. I will say the food was delicious - I got the pulled chicken nachos and was not disappointed. I will definitely give this place another try, but the customer service should be more of a priority. read more

Love this tiny spot located in the Heart of Cocoa Beach. Super laid-back and welcoming atmosphere from the first moment I ate here when I cycled up to the pickup window and enjoyed a Caribe Dog with my boyfriend. This was before they expanded to the colorful and fun, sit-down dining area they have now. My favorite dish is the plantain chips and beach slaw which is really listed as a side-dish on the menu but who cares about labels these days. There's something about it that makes me order it every time. (YUM) If I had to choose a favorite main dish it would probably have to be the pork taco basket served with chips and salsa. Every bite is flavorful. There's great seating choices too. I usually arrive on bicycle and opt to eat indoors to beat the heat, but on nice days (almost always) you can eat at the sun-filled picnic tables or in the shaded breezeway that leads to more delicious adventures. They accept cash and credit as payment in case you were wondering. read more

Charming, island style restaurant with friendly staff (Tiffany is awesome), fresh food and unique flavors from the Caribbean. My guests ordered the pork sliders with a peanut butter and sweet Thai jelly sauce that they raved about. The pork was lean and thinly sliced. The salads and sofritos were delicious. Plenty of outdoor seating both in front and back courtyard. Definitely worth a visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner. read more

Came here for dinner because of the great Yelp reviews and while I liked the concept, our overall service was meh and I didn't like the taste and seasonings of a few of the menu items. So after we sat down, our waitress came over but seemed distracted. She didn't write down our order and so when the food came put, I got a shrimp salad put in front of me, instead of my veggie Sofrito salad ($10). I went up to the counter and explained the error - she took away the salad bowl and 3 mins later, I got a bowl with my vegetarian black beans. I have a feeling they just removed the shrimp pieces, but that it was the same salad bowl and if I was a strict vegetarian, I honestly don't think would have liked that they substituted beans rather than make a fresh new bowl! My mum got the featured Fish Bowl which was Salmon Sofrito Bowl for $15. I really liked the rice and beans and we got a side for $3 even tho the seasoning wasn't an aggressive as other rice jerk seasoning I have had prior. I also didn't like the seasoning on the salmon - it just tasted off. We'd also requested a Tiny Turtle Chip Basket with Guacamole and Salsa ($5) but that order also didn't make it to the table - guess our waitress forgot to put it in as she wasn't writing down our order. Was in town for vacation (Orlando) and made the drive to the beach for the day. Stopped in here for lunch. It was off-season, so they were dead. OMG!!! Sofritas bowl was out of this world - had chicken and pork. Wife had PBJ pork sliders - wow!!! Affordable prices, good service - we will return next time we are in town. read more

We tried to place a pick up order over the phone. One of the items we tried to order was a sofrito burrito wet but asked to please have the sauces on the side that would go on top of the burrito. We were then told the workers refuse to do such a thing and that we would have to pay extra at an ala carte rate for sauces that i was paying for anyways with the burrito. We were told that the "workers" should be paid for the extra work to put sauces in a container. Needless to say, will never visit this place. read more

I came here for lunch a couple of weeks ago while in the Cocoa Beach area, and I was extremely surprised. I saw that the menu offered a couple of wraps that looked pretty good, so I decided on the Islander Wrap. I was pleasantly surprised by how fresh the ingredients all were. I also tried their chips and guacamole, and the guacamole is fresh and made very well. They also had a $2 special on 1906 beer, which was a fun addition. I'd also like to point out that even though the space is small, it's incredibly clean. Our waitress was super friendly, too. If I'm ever in the area again, I will be making my way to Tiny Turtle. read more

It's been far too long... I went to the Turtle a bunch of times back when they were new, and fell in love with the tripletta and the fish tacos. Unfortunately since, work has kept me away during their opening hours. Had a rare day where I could do lunch in CB, and had a fantastic meal! Awesome to see the new sidewalk area, and you guys have really done awesome things with the inside as well (it was pretty sparse last time, over a year ago). I got the four cheese bacon melt, combined with the tomato bisque. I really don't like tomato soup, but I absolutely love anything with bacon and cheese... The soup was freaking amazing... Absolutely the antithesis of Campbell's (the source of my hatred), with a zing from the acidity of the tomatoes, combined with a smokey hint (smoked paprika?). I bought the meal for the sandwich, but you changed what I think about tomato based soups. The bacon cheese melt was also fantastic. The bread is soft even after grilling, lots of cheese, maaaaybe a bit shy on the bacon, and lots of fresh tomato slices. Perfect pair with the soup, and a huge portion. I took half home and I'm still full. My dining partner had the soup as well and echoes my opinion, and also had the Caribbean dog, which she loved, and for around 7 bucks was an insane amount of food. It's a LOADED dog, plus slaw and plantains. There's no way to eat it like a regular hot dog... You fork and knife it because of all the toppings. Service was on point, fillups of our beverages were frequent, and the staff was about as friendly as restaurant staff can get. I'm here writing this review because I hated... HATED tomato soup for 30+ years. You guys changed me today. Awesome job! read more

Service a bit slow for only 2 other tables with guests. Went in for a traditional breakfast and got 2 eggs, bacon, and burnt potatoes for $10. Wanted an extra egg, but it would have cost $2, so I passed on it since you can get a dozen eggs at the store for less. Had to ask for silverware and salt and pepper. Next time I will go to 4th street. read more

Unfortunately I won't be returning or giving this place a 2nd chance. The names of the food may sound authentic but the food is not. I got the Tripleta with fried plantains and a coleslaw. The beef looked like it got microwaved, the ham looked like the cheap ham from a Save a lot ‍‍ and to top it off. The pork or chicken looking thing was curry flavored. Yeah curry flavor on a Tripleta. Along with the soggy French fry chips. The coleslaw looked like it been sitting in a tub since they open. I dared not even try it after my wife had a bite and said don't eat it. I took her word for it. The fried plantains. No need to go here for them. It's the same frozen Goya plantains you get supermarket. Nothing look cooked. My wife had the sofrito bowl. Yeah don't try that. Everything also was pre-made. Some sort of curry flavored yellow rice and the food had no flavor. I counted 9 employees and none of them Spanish. Not that it matters. But maybe they should hire at least one Puerto Rican for their so called Puerto Rican restaurant. If you read this long and still feel like giving this place a try. Good luck. You will be disappointed. read more

This small restaurant may be the best thing about Cocoa beach. Totally unexpected food and flavor. We came in from the beach and were seated right away and our waitress was friendly. I ordered the small sofrito bowl with roasted pork. The combination of flavors in the bowl was awesome. Different flavors and textures all in one bite, so good! And I'm a sucker for maduros, which were cooked nicely. read more

Excellent service, Excellent food! I can't tell you how many times we were asked if we needed anything? If the food was alright? The staff was very attentive! The food was plentiful and tasty! I had the sofrito bowl pork, my girlfriend had the quinoa bowl! I'm not a big fan of quinoa, but I'll say this, after one bite of my girlfriends dish, I wanted to trade bowls! Both were excellent! Outstanding food and excellent service. This place is worth a visit. The food is fresh and the flavors are exceptional. History

Established in 2013.

Inspired by his Grandmother's and Mother's cooking, the flavorful Sofrito base of Puerto Rico, and his own restaurant experiences, Chef Moises has created a menu and environment that will transport you to an island experience full of flavor and a laid back feeling. Opening during the famed Art Show that happens every year in Downtown Cocoa Beach as what was called Food Truck Style, being just a kitchen on the back of a building with a patio and picnic tables for seating, it has now evolved into a full service restaurant but still giving that feeling of a small local "Hidden Gem".

Meet the Business Owner: Moises y Kelly C.

Born in Puerto Rico Moises' family moved to Florida in the 80's spending the first couple years in South Florida and then relocating to Central Florida. Always having the dream of owning his own restaurant he was given the opportunity after meeting a good friend a couple years after moving to Cocoa Beach. He had spent 2 years prior to the start of The Tiny Turtle gaining knowledge and experience in the restaurant field. Each opportunity he grew into lead cook, managing the kitchen and creating new menu items. He has been surrounded by many, including his wife Kelly, that have all had a part at helping him fulfill his dream and is forever grateful for the love and support.

This, coupled with the fact there were lots of empty tables that had not been bussed, let me know that the restaurant was not equipped to handle the volume of customers and was in the weeds. When we told the host we were a party of 6 with a reservation, he seemed surprised and distraught - immediately leaving to bus one of the tables. A quality restaurant would have expected us and had our table prepared prior to our arrival. Multiple people in our party mentioned the host's frantic demeanor. I don't blame him - it was clear the restaurant was overwhelmed, despite so many empty tables. Was the kitchen backed up? We were sat at the table and the server was very pleasant - a very nice woman. She brought out the water - tap water which smelled and tasted a little funny. I would have expected filtered or bottled water, especially when the tap water quality was poor. At this point, given the above, we decided to leave. If the experience up to this point was not up to par, we didn't want to take our chances. We've seen too many Kitchen Nightmares episodes to take the risk. Chaos in the front of house is normally correlated to chaos in the back. Hopefully the restaurant takes our constructive criticisms to heart and tries to make some improvements. The buck starts with the management.

The Resort had a tennis court, basket ball Court and corn hole games. There's a restaurant "Mambos' in the Resort right by the beach and a bar... The Restaurant and bar is only open on the weekends, though. I really hope more people give this place a try. It's an inexpensive way to enjoy Cocoa Beach and have a decent place to stay with a great pool. We loved it and can't wait to go back! Hopefully the Pirate Ship is open next time.

AMAZING! After a long day at the pier we wanted something healthy and filling. We were looking for Jamaican and came across The Tiny Turtle... what a brilliant find. We split the Islander Wrap and Tripleta and were in heaven!!! Whether you're a tourist or a local this is a MUST try. The food was excellent and what made it even better was the stuff, especially the lady at the register. I didn't catch her name but she was the nicest woman. My family and I have been coming here since they first opened. We absolutely love their food, service, staff and atmosphere. The Owners are one of the nicest and most generous people I know in Cocoa Beach. Their pork and mahi sofrito bowls are to die for. So delish! Taco Tuesdays are still our fave time to come! Staff wear masks and plenty of outdoor seating. we also love that they are environmentally/ocean friendly and that is so important to our family and out community! Our food here was excellent, as was the service. Truly a welcome change for an eatery so close to the beach. We were a bit skeptical but the bowls of food (sofrito) that came out soon changed our minds. Highly recommended. Very moderately priced. Recommended. Heard a lot about the sofrito so I decided to order it. I could not believe how large of a portion it was and the taste was so unique and incredible. In total my meal was $13.15 for a large sofrito bowl and a drink with unlimited refills. Going to the Tiny Turtle made a positive memory on my vacation trip. read more
