Always come here when we have a day out at cocoa beach! The food is definitely on the pricey side, especially for the portion size which is why it's not 5 stars, but solid and unique! Recommend the potato sticks and the plantains for sides. During the quarantine they had exceptional service as well! read more

This place was so good! Food was delicious and we liked that the portion sizes weren't huge. They have a nice back patio with some games to play. Cocktails were nice and our waitress was awesome. I had the Tres Leches for dessert which was yummy. My family will be back the next time we visit Cocoa Beach. read more

The Caribbean Asian Fusion combo sounded interesting! The inside of the restaurant was closed due to the virus pandemic so the waitress took our order outside. We waited a short time while the take away order was prepared. That only required a few minutes. We had read good reports about The Tiny Turtle and were intrigued -we had to give it a try. The two of us chose different menu items so we could taste-test a variety of foods. I had the quinoa bowl with kale. Hubby had the Sofrito bowl. We had 4 different sides! All were good although mine had an over abundance of salt. Will we go back? Probably, because their food is unique and there are more items for us to try! The food was good, the reason for three stars is. My wife and I sat at the bar & immediately the bar tender said "we only have these four items on our menu today ". She said "short staffed". So I can understand lots of places like that nowadays. But the we sat for almost 15 minutes before she took our drink order. Note their was only 6 others at the bar. Finally when she took our order, I ordered the burrito, she asked if I wanted it "smothered" . I'm not a big fan of that . I asked if I could have the sauce on the side. "No it's all of nothing ". I'm like ok I've never had someone tell me that. So my wife asked. Who? She's says "because it's 7 different sauces & they'd have to put it in 7 different dishes". Cute place on the other side (not beach) of the main beach road. Lots of character, with friendly staff. We had a salad and the taco basket. Both were good and had a fair price. Two things that stood out to me were the homemade mango dressing and all the cute totem poles placed in/out of the restaurant. I'd go back, but probably wouldn't go too much out of my way. read more

Michelle the server was great. She was friendly and gave excellent recommendations on the food. We got the four cheese quesadilla with braised island chicken with chips and I got the cubanito. Nice size portions and the flavors was great. They had outdoor seating. Place was clean and the atmosphere was great. My running group has met up here a few times and I've had two different Sofrito bowls with chicken and pork. Both bowls were hot fire and I don't think it was the 6mi run beforehand. I cleaned the plate both times and it's just spot on. Rice is perfectly cooked, meat perfectly seasoned, and the platanos maduros are just perfect. They also have a great beer selection with my personal Florida favorite, the Pulp Friction from Motorworks Brewery. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area. read more

Paired with a very comprehensive list of local and other craft beers, this made for a great meal. Small, casual and intimate with a great beach vibe. This was a great place to eat! We came here as a second choice from one of the touristy beach side spots but I'm so glad. The food was great. Chips and dips appetizer wasn't anything special but everything else the table had was better than expected. My husband found this place online, and we decided to try it out. It's in a great location, easy parking, next to a lot of other businesses. The service was really friendly, and we decided to try the surf and turf nachos with a side of maduros. We sat inside, and watched the cute and funny videos clips of pets that was playing on the TV. It wasn't a long wait until our nachos arrived, and they tasted amazing. I'm always hesitant when getting shrimp, as it's so easy to overcook (chewy), but the shrimp on these were fresh and delicious. The guacamole was as I like it - homemade with tomatoes and onions in it. I could go on and one about each ingredient on these nachos, as it was all so delicious. So good, in fact, that a few days later we came back and got the same thing! lol The side of maduros was also yummy, cooked perfectly! The perfect compliment to the nachos. Went in today and we are so glad we did! I ordered the sofrito pork bowl and my husband ordered the mahi mahi tacos. One word, DELICIOUS! Wow probably one of our favorite restaurants we've tried on our trip to Florida! The pork in my bowl was so tasty! It's such a cute and tiny restaurant. The waitress was great, attentive and did great for being busy! Will be back one day and will definitely recommend this place to our friends that travel to this town. read more

Must try! Great food! Try the Sofrito Bowls! The pork is their signature dish. I had the surf and turf Sofrito Bowl with chicken and shrimp, it also comes with a choice of two sides. It was Delicious and full of flavor. Great place for lunch and dinner. They also have a military discount and are ocean friendly. All of their utensils and cups made from renewable material. It looks closed, but it is open for take out and outdoor seating. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and delicious food! read more

History

Established in 2013.

Inspired by his Grandmother's and Mother's cooking, the flavorful Sofrito base of Puerto Rico, and his own restaurant experiences, Chef Moises has created a menu and environment that will transport you to an island experience full of flavor and a laid back feeling. Opening during the famed Art Show that happens every year in Downtown Cocoa Beach as what was called Food Truck Style, being just a kitchen on the back of a building with a patio and picnic tables for seating, it has now evolved into a full service restaurant but still giving that feeling of a small local "Hidden Gem".

Meet the Business Owner: Moises y Kelly C.

Born in Puerto Rico Moises' family moved to Florida in the 80's spending the first couple years in South Florida and then relocating to Central Florida. Always having the dream of owning his own restaurant he was given the opportunity after meeting a good friend a couple years after moving to Cocoa Beach. He had spent 2 years prior to the start of The Tiny Turtle gaining knowledge and experience in the restaurant field. Each opportunity he grew into lead cook, managing the kitchen and creating new menu items. He has been surrounded by many, including his wife Kelly, that have all had a part at helping him fulfill his dream and is forever grateful for the love and support.

AMAZING! After a long day at the pier we wanted something healthy and filling. We were looking for Jamaican and came across The Tiny Turtle... what a brilliant find. We split the Islander Wrap and Tripleta and were in heaven!!! Whether you're a tourist or a local this is a MUST try. My family and I have been coming here since they first opened. We absolutely love their food, service, staff and atmosphere. The Owners are one of the nicest and most generous people I know in Cocoa Beach. Their pork and mahi sofrito bowls are to die for. So delish! Taco Tuesdays are still our fave time to come! Heard a lot about the sofrito so I decided to order it. I could not believe how large of a portion it was and the taste was so unique and incredible. She also loved the pasta salad but wasn't a fan of the Parmesan sprinkled on top. If Parmesan must be involved, let's keep it to the kind that comes from a block and not the green plastic shaker. Just my two cents. The staff was friendly, service was great, and soda refills appeared before we even had to ask. I also loved the local artwork displayed throughout the restaurant. Every piece has a price tag, so if something catches your eye, you can literally take it home with you.
