Small carribean inspired spot. I stopped in on a Monday during lunch hours in the off season. It was slow so the food arrived to my table quickly. I ordered a small sofrito nacho plate with mahi mahi. It had a hint of spice but was mostly covered in wet sauces. I love condiments & I love a saucy dish but it was a bit much with salsa, guacamole, sour cream & some type of house sauce. It all kind of overpowered the meal. It didn't really hit the spot for me. Menu is intentionally small and somewhat the same dish served in different ways; burrito, salad, bowl, nachos, etc. Service was great! Very friendly and welcoming.

This place was delicious the sofritas bowl was so exquisitely bussin I wish I got a large. I will be coming back tomorrow for another bowl before we go home. Wow. The service was friendly as well along with the chill ambiance. Thoroughly enjoyed this place 10/10.

I love the chill , island vibes here! They even played music from one of my favorite bands- Stick Figure. The CB punch drink was so tasty and delicious , it's a blend of the perfect amounts of rum and juices. Sofrito bowl was the best! Again, perfectly balanced flavors and fresh! Definitely visit here when you are in Cocoa Beach

A little slice of home in Cocoa Beach. Bravo Chef Moises! Hadn't had a tripleta like that since the food trucks outside University of Puerto Rico (UPR). Cafe con leche on point. Chill vibes.

Pros: Ambiance is very cool. Very beachy, semi-tiki, mellow and chill. There's a nice outdoor patio dining room that we sat in, covered to keep the sun out. Service was pretty good. Our server was nice enough, and the food came out in no time. No concerns there. As for the food, it was simple, but delicious. Who knew that adding some Island seasoning to some basic dishes can really make them pop? Cons: The server, who struck me as a manager, didn't have a good working knowledge of the drink menu at all, but we made due. Tips: Get the nachos, and get the catch of the day on them. If you've never had fish nachos before, you will love them. Also, get the burrito if you like burritos. Some breakfast burritos fall kind of flat and are disappointing, but these were gooood.

We came here one day while we were exploring the Space Coast a little bit. We have a buddy who lives out there, so we parked by his condo and walked over here to the Tiny Turtle. We chose the Turtle because it landed on the best places to eat in the US in 2024, which is a pretty prestigious list, so we were pretty excited. Ambiance was sooo chill. It's right next door to the best ice cream on the coast, the Fat Donkey. Thatched roof, tiki stuff, lots of outdoor seating. Nice vibes. Service was prompt and mostly the same: chill, beachy, islandy. Very nice lady. She struck me as the owner, or at least management. As for the food, we opened up with an appetizer. We got the nachos and for the protein, we chose the catch of the day, I think it was mahi that day. No one I was with had had fish nachos before, but they quickly became fans. The fish flaked well, and there were plentiful toppings that were layered well. It was also not a very large dish, so you didn't have to ration your protein too much. You could just eat and enjoy. I moved on to my main entrée, the Triple T Toastie (Scrambled eggs, white American cheese, shredded cheese, potato sticks, and Creme Caribe pressed in Sobao bread. Choice of veggies, bacon, sausage or ham. - Upgrade to all 3 meats). Of course I upgraded to all three meats. Very good sandwich. Excellent, quality fillings, bread that was pressed hard and delicious, and it was large enough to contain all the fillings and not be leaking out and falling out everywhere. A well crafted sandwich, paired well with the potato sticks that added a very satisfying crunch. I also got to eat half of a Wake up Burrito Scrambled eggs, potato hash, Queso Caribe, guacamole, sour cream, roasted tomatillo sauce, and Creme Caribe. Choice of bacon, sausage, chorizo, ham, Roasted Island Pork). Very good burrito, stuffed to the brim, and able to be picked up by hand, which was good, I don't like knife and fork breakfast burritos. Overall, this was a super chill, super cozy little place that can offer you a delicious breakfast before you head out to get your beach on. Or where you can send a runner to get some takeout and bring it to you while you're On the beach. Really nice. I hope to come back one day.

This place had such a cool vibe and the food was delicious.. we were new in town and wanted to get a unique experience after our beach trip. We stumble into this unique gem and did not disappoint. I had the sofrito bowl with roasted island pork, I initially orders the small size and regretted thinking I should've gone for the bigger size but the small was more than enough. The rest of my party ordered the sofrito burrito and they were all very impressed.

Holy crap this place has such big portions, but I am loving it! My husband and I ordered the sofrito bowl and cuban to split, and it was honestly so much food. We left feeling STUFFED - but it's hard to complain when the food was delicious. No regrets! The Cuban had a lot of meat and soft bread, which I appreciated because I don't like my sandwich bread to be too hard and painful to eat. For the sofrito bowl, I recommend getting the plantain and coleslaw as the added sides! I will definitely be returning!

We love it here! Even with all the bar options nearby, this is our go-to. It's never overly crowded and the employees are friendly and attentive. We have loved the empanadas and I had a DELICIOUS wrap today. The plantains seemed well cooked and were super good. Yum!

A Hidden Gem with Caribbean Flavor! We've been to Cocoa Beach many times and somehow never heard of Tiny Turtle--but now we'll never forget it. A few locals recommended it to us on separate occasions, so we finally checked it out--and we're so glad we did! The food was excellent--we had the Tripleta sandwich and the cheesesteak, both absolutely mouthwatering. The bread was soft and fresh, and the flavors were spot on. The menu has a Latin-Caribbean flair, thanks to the Puerto Rican chef, and it really shows in the seasoning and creativity. Service was great--Murphy took care of us and made the experience even better. The beers were ice cold, and we were excited to see Medalla, a local Puerto Rican beer, on the menu. It was quiet when we arrived--so quiet we almost left--but we came between lunch and dinner, so we get it. Still, this place deserves to be packed. We've learned they've been around for about 12 years, and now we'll be recommending them just like the locals did with us. Don't miss this spot. It's a true gem with delicious food and warm, friendly vibes.

This is my second review one year later and the food is just as good. We've never eaten inside the restaurant as we always get it to go but the inside is a cool vibe with the bar room separate from the dining area. They have local art for sale as well as some merch and souvenirs. We called for pickup right at the transition from breakfast to lunch so our order took about 30 minutes from call to out the door. We will be back again to try the breakfast burrito, but this time got a pork and a chicken Sofrito burrito. They're so good every time. I really hope this place stays in business!

My husband and I were visiting Cocoa Beach for 4 days and went to lunch at the Tiny Turtle the day we arrived and liked it so much we went back for lunch the following day and breakfast on our last full day. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced. The small soffrito bowl (about $11) is the perfect size to satisfy without feeling completely stuffed and uncomfortable. Their slow cooked pork is so good and moist. I had the same on my Huevos Rancheros on our third visit. I love Huevos Rancheros and I think this was the best version of it I've ever had! The eggs over easy were perfectly cooked runny yokes but fully cooked whites. I dug in too quickly to think to snap a photo first! The other big selling point for me is that they squeeze their own lime, lemon and orange juices so their house margarita at only $9 is absolutely delicious! It goes down too easily but with such a good price why not get a second?? Our second lunch I tried the mahi mahi tacos and I appreciated that the fish was grilled and not fried so there are menu options that are fairly healthy. This day I opted to only have 1 margarita and then have an ice cream at Fat Donkey Ice Cream directly next door. We liked eating outside on the front patio with the tiki-style thatched roof. The staff is also very friendly and attentive. Go check out the Tiny Turtle! We'll definitely be back!

I love the atmosphere felt very Florida like and once you're inside, it really doesn't seem that tiny. Of my aunt and I had tacos and they were all delicious. We finished the meal with Keylime pie . It was a bit nontraditional and seemed a little bit more like a cheesecake, but I really enjoyed it. My aunt had really expected more of a traditional key line so she wasn't quite as happy with her although she enjoyed the taste . Overall, I had a great experience

This place has so much character with outdoor/indoor seating, live music, and corn hole. The service was great. We sat out side at a high top table. We orders the trio dip chips, to start. Hands down favorite tacos on the Space Coast! Taco Tuesday is typically packed.. but it is worth the little wait.. to have two freshly caught mahi mahi tacos! I'm not sure what is the magic sauce that they put into those tacos and the way they perfectly grill the fish... but seriously I am addicted!!! They have plenty of seating inside and out, and so many delicious options on the menu to appease everyone. My friends ordered the sofrito bowls and they swear by them! The staff is incredibly friendly and the prices are more than fair for the quality and freshness! read more

Hopped off the plane at MCO and all of us were starving. Headed for the beach and decided food needed to come first, Yelp led us here and it did not disappoint! Excellent food! Great staff that was friendly and patient with three small children, plenty of stuff to play with in the back on the patio. Can't recommend it enough, the owner has done a fantastic job of creating amazing food with a laid back atmosphere that's great for family, friends, and relaxing. Nicely decorated cute restaurant in the hearts of cocoa beach. Very attentive staffs and great food. So frido with chicken is delicious and their daily empanadas are freshly made. I don't know what was better of the food, the cocktails, or the service! Rare to find these days. We sat at the bar and loved the pineapple habanero tequila drink. I've visited the Space Coast area about 4 times within the past year or so to visit family, and The Tiny Turtle is by far my favorite restaurant to eat at. My wife and I actually came here two days in a row for lunch the last time we visited because the food is so tasty! My go-to order is the Sofrito Bowl. It comes with rice and black beans, "beach slaw", grilled maduros (sweet plantains), guac, sour cream, creme caribe, and also your choice of the roasted island pork, braised island chicken, or sauteed beef picadillo. This dish is so flavorful! You gotta try it! Even the rice is delicious. I've tried it with both the chicken and pork, but prefer the pork. They also have two sizes. The larger size comes with two plantains instead of one, and you can choose to get something like half chicken/half pork if you wanted while the smaller size is perfect for a light lunch. The inside of the restaurant itself is kind of small, but they've got additional seating outside in both covered and uncovered areas. The place itself is cute, too, with a beachy, tropical atmosphere. There's also a cute sea turtle mural on a wall out back. Service was friendly and they're big on being eco-friendly, which I thought was really nice. No plastic straws here! read more

Went here with my family for lunch when we were in town. The waitress warned us as we sat down it could be a long wait for food because they were short staffed. The food ended up not taking long at all. While we waited we got a drink. I had a spicy margarita and it was delicious and was actually really spicy which I loved. I have to change my positive review to a negative. I gave the Tiny Turtle another shot. It was fairly busy. I came in alone. They were very casual about seating. I was seated immediately and got my beer. I ordered and waited. About 30 minutes later a server came by and asked if my order had been taken. I said yes, but could she please check. She said she was sure it was in. I waited another 20 minutes and got up to pay for my beer and leave. My order was never placed. The cashier said the beer was on the house. I told them I was a local and I would not be back. I even asked for someone to check on my order and no one did. That's what makes me angry. It's a shame all these groovy little girls running around without three neurons between them. read more

Wow, wow, WOWWWW!! This place is amazing! I was so hungry I forgot to take a pic of my food but the tomato bisque caribe was the best I've had in my life; and I order tomato bisque at every restaurant I go to that has it! Literally blew my mind with every bite and I'm gonna try to re create it when I get home (doubt I'll be able to tho lol) I also ordered the sofritto burrito and mannnnnn, SO GOOD!! I got it "wet style" with all their homemade sauces and it was extremely flavorful and enough for me to take about half home for a snack later. This is the type of place that makes me wish I lived here so I could come all the time. But whenever I'm in this area of FL I will most definitely be back! read more

Glad I went with 2 tacos instead of 3 because they were generous portions! Surprisingly not a mess to eat, and the flavors were incredible!! Favorite breakfast so far in Cocoa Beach. Now just need to come back for lunch/dinner to check out what other amazing food they have here. Definitely recommend checking this spot out. This place was absolutely exceptional! One of those places that you dream about finding because the food is special, and everything is tastes delicious. We went for breakfast and it was amazing!! We came here after a long day at the Kennedy Space Center. We wanted to drive into Cocoa Beach for dinner. This place was able to squeeze in our party of 10 pretty quickly and their food is phenomenal. I highly recommend the nachos. The waitress recommended the sofrito salad with mahi and half caribe creme and half mango sauce. It was exceptional with an explosion of flavor. I called to order for take out. The food was pretty delicious. Took about 45 minutes to prepare our order (with 6 items). However they did forget part of our order when we picked it up and took it back to the hotel which they did call us cause they realized they had one of our orders with them. Other than that inconvenience, the store has indoor seating and the place does look comfortable. The workers were friendly and were apologetic for the mishap. The tacos (tried the beef, steak, and mahi mahi) were pretty delicious. The sauce they put on the food is good. We ordered 2 of their sandwiches (cheesesteak and burger). They were alright. My family has been coming here for breakfast every time I'm in town. The restaurant has a great back patio space complete with big connect 4 and dog bowls and little treats. The breakfast menu is delicious, my favorite being the wake up burrito with carnitas, wet style. History

Established in 2013.

Inspired by his Grandmother's and Mother's cooking, the flavorful Sofrito base of Puerto Rico, and his own restaurant experiences, Chef Moises has created a menu and environment that will transport you to an island experience full of flavor and a laid back feeling. Opening during the famed Art Show that happens every year in Downtown Cocoa Beach as what was called Food Truck Style, being just a kitchen on the back of a building with a patio and picnic tables for seating, it has now evolved into a full service restaurant but still giving that feeling of a small local "Hidden Gem".

Meet the Business Owner: Moises y Kelly C.

Born in Puerto Rico Moises' family moved to Florida in the 80's spending the first couple years in South Florida and then relocating to Central Florida. Always having the dream of owning his own restaurant he was given the opportunity after meeting a good friend a couple years after moving to Cocoa Beach. He had spent 2 years prior to the start of The Tiny Turtle gaining knowledge and experience in the restaurant field. Each opportunity he grew into lead cook, managing the kitchen and creating new menu items. He has been surrounded by many, including his wife Kelly, that have all had a part at helping him fulfill his dream and is forever grateful for the love and support.

When we told the host we were a party of 6 with a reservation, he seemed surprised and distraught - immediately leaving to bus one of the tables. A quality restaurant would have expected us and had our table prepared prior to our arrival. Multiple people in our party mentioned the host's frantic demeanor. I don't blame him - it was clear the restaurant was overwhelmed, despite so many empty tables. Was the kitchen backed up? We were sat at the table and the server was very pleasant - a very nice woman. She brought out the water - tap water which smelled and tasted a little funny. I would have expected filtered or bottled water, especially when the tap water quality was poor. At this point, given the above, we decided to leave. If the experience up to this point was not up to par, we didn't want to take our chances. We've seen too many Kitchen Nightmares episodes to take the risk. Chaos in the front of house is normally correlated to chaos in the back. Hopefully the restaurant takes our constructive criticisms to heart and tries to make some improvements. I enjoyed one of their NA mocktails which was delightful (low hanging fruit was the name) and hubs enjoyed a vodka based cocktail called waste management, served in a mini trash can! We were worried it would be too sweet and Summer convinced us otherwise. Hubs said it was balanced, not too sweet, and refreshing... anything but garbage! The place is really cute inside too, and the bar had hooks underneath, so you know it's legit!

Tiny turtle offers the perfect Florida casual dining experience for everyone! Whether you are wearing a suit and tie or flip-flops and a tank you will fit in perfectly at The Tiny Turtle. Stop in and enjoy a Puerto Rican meal with a touch of Caribbean Fusion! The #tripeletasandwhich was next level! The flavors and textures created a mind blowing meal! If your more of a burrito person make sure you check out the shredded pork burrito. Ask for it smothered with a side of ghost pepper salsa (you won't be sorry). AMAZING! After a long day at the pier we wanted something healthy and filling. We were looking for Jamaican and came across The Tiny Turtle... what a brilliant find. We split the Islander Wrap and Tripleta and were in heaven!!! Whether you're a tourist or a local this is a MUST try. The food was excellent and what made it even better was the stuff, especially the lady at the register. I didn't catch her name but she was the nicest woman. My family and I have been coming here since they first opened. We absolutely love their food, service, staff and atmosphere. The Owners are one of the nicest and most generous people I know in Cocoa Beach. Their pork and mahi sofrito bowls are to die for. So delish! Taco Tuesdays are still our fave time to come! Staff wear masks and plenty of outdoor seating. we also love that they are environmentally/ocean friendly and that is so important to our family and out community! Tiny Turtle in Cocoa Beach is truly one of the best restaurants around! The warm and friendly atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The staff is attentive and always ready to make your dining experience special. Plus, they were incredibly kind to let us keep our luggage at their place for hours, which made our visit so much more convenient and stress-free. Our food here was excellent, as was the service. Truly a welcome change for an eatery so close to the beach. We were a bit skeptical but the bowls of food (sofrito) that came out soon changed our minds. Highly recommended. Very moderately priced. Recommended. A pleasant place to stop for lunch or dinner when visiting Cocoa Beach. read more

Heard a lot about the sofrito so I decided to order it. I could not believe how large of a portion it was and the taste was so unique and incredible. In total my meal was $13.15 for a large sofrito bowl and a drink with unlimited refills. Going to the Tiny Turtle made a positive memory on my vacation trip. read more
