It got sold and reopening as the outpost. Looks like good place to grab a drink. Good amount of boat parking

What a great experience to have on a road trip…read more We were driving back to Atlanta from Savannah and took the scenic route. We found ourselves stopping for food at what turned out to be a great place and one we hope to visit again! Positive Feedback: (1) The waitress gave 100% from the first second we came in. (2) We had a dog and she made sure we were comfortable as a family. (3) The food was top notch fresh seafood and tasted like home made real cooking. (4) We enjoyed the screened-in porch in the shade, behind Boondocks, on a hot day. (5) The service we experienced from the employees truly made us feel at home. (6) The food service was fast, the food was perfect, and the costumer service was immaculate. Negative feedback: (1) The dirt/lawn around the outside picnic tables are infested with red fire ants. We couldn't sit there and were going to get our food to go to eat in the car, but the waitress was kind enough to see other options. (2) The decor of the screened in patio was not up to date. It seemed like there was a bar upstairs at one point, but looks like it was abandoned and weathered. (3) I would suggest a bigger sign or a sign set up closer to the road. We would have not known about it if we didn't get the recommendation from someone who overheard us asking at a road side farmer stand. (4) Last point I want to make is that our waitress seemed like the only waitress on the clock. She seemed overwhelmed but was able to handle the entire restaurant by herself. If there were other servers, it seems as though she was picking up their slack. Overall, what a great experience and great, fresh food to top the great service they provide!

Great atmosphere! Not too crowded perfect little hometown bar just what a country bar should be.read more

We sat outside close to the pier so that we could see the lake, the houses, and the activity on the water. We only ordered onion rings & a Shirley temple, but our server was the kindest, friendliest soul, sharing the history of the area & places to go where the locals hang out. This place is open to the public, but it seemed as if most of the folks hanging out there are part of the boat club. But everyone was friendly, has a great vibe, and we're definitely going back.

Docking the boat and grabbing some food and beer while the sun is setting, is such a vibe (as the kids say). However, having an inattentive server that doesn't check on you, while you wait 70 min for your food on a kinda busy Wednesday night. To me that is unacceptable. By the time I got my food, after 70 min wait, it was wrong. To the restaurants credit, the manager did offer to make me a fresh burger. At that point I lost my appetite. I was so disappointed! Will I be back...maybe? I'm not itching to go back any time soon though . And if you have or know someone with a boat you can get these views in a lot of other places on the lake. The one aspect that is egregious and I can't overlook is $12 for a side salad with a sprinkle and I mean a sprinkle of chicken ($6 upcharge!!!). You would never be able to tell that there was chicken on there unless someone told you. Views- 5 stars Food - 3 (mid but passable. Not from me since my order was wrong.) Service- 1 (only because the manager was gracious enough to offer to cook the meal again) 3 stars- come for the views, grab a drink and don't rely on your server.

No A/C but they had fans inside and outside. It was a little warm following 4 hours on the golf course so A/C option would've been nice. I ordered the Patriot Burger and Onion rings. The burger was big and juicy and onion rings were great. I had a Hazy IPA and that worked well with the food. The bartender was cool and she let us sample a bunch of beers before choosing what we wanted. I'd go back but it would be nice to have multiple trucks and cooler options...literally.

What was supposed to be a relaxed family outing on a hot Saturday afternoon quickly turned sour…read moreafter we were made to feel judged and unwelcome -- all because our toddlers were... being toddlers. We visited Lazy Creek Taphouse on Saturday, June 21 from 4-7 PM with a small group of friends and family, including my two-year-old son and his friend. The atmosphere was surprisingly dead for a weekend -- just a few people at the bar inside -- so we stayed indoors due to the 90+ degree heat outside. The kids were simply running around playing, behaving appropriately for toddlers, with the occasional excited squeal you'd expect from two little ones having harmless fun. As we were getting ready to leave, I took the kids outside to play with trucks in the gravel. That's when my friend mentioned overhearing the plus-size female bartender speaking negatively about our children to other patrons -- complaining about the noise and making unwarranted comments. I confronted her about it directly, and rather than offering any kind of apology or professional response, she doubled down with an attitude. What's most disappointing is that Lazy Creek promotes itself as a *kid-friendly* establishment. If that's truly the case, the staff should treat children and their families with basic respect -- especially when the children are simply being playful and not disruptive. There's a big difference between genuine chaos and two toddlers running around having fun. If this place really wants to be "kid-friendly," the staff should either be trained to better handle the presence of children or stop advertising that it's a welcoming space for families. You're entitled to a kid-free evening -- but not a kid-free world. It's honestly a shame -- and hurtful -- to feel so unwelcome in a space that claims to support families. Now, we're left feeling judged and uncomfortable about ever coming back.
