Salmon Tartar & Mac and cheee, oysters, Meatballs

Surprisingly yummy food!! $$ but still really liked the meatballs, Mac and cheese & salmon tartar. Wine was also tasty and $20/bottle for happy hour (but FYI the bottle is 3/4th the regular bottle size) Cute huge space (surprising for NYC) & it's like a bar x restaurant combined! Good service, they gave us a dish on the house for the long wait

I ran into a group of friends at Ten Bells last night. We split a few bottles of bubbly rosé and a pet-nat and had the BEST time chatting until closing time. The server, Emily, was so friendly and super cute! She kept everyone's glasses full. The door was open, the music was great. It was the perfect stop on a balmy spring night. 10/10

We are looking for happy hour bar to hangout before our dinner. Ten Bells is the best place to go! The happy hour deal for wine and oysters is the best match for the night. Staff are friendly with good vibes there! We also love the tapas menu they offer. Can't wait to go back to try more on the menu!

I came here on a Thursday night for Happy Hour with a few friends. We were meeting at 6pm, but I arrived a bit earlier. The waiters were really nice and let me hold a table for my group. I had one mission in mind on this night: $1 oysters. I ordered a dozen; while they were a bit small, they tasted good, and in a world where it's increasingly hard to find $1 oysters, I'll settle. Everyone else ordered a few small plates, which were good, albeit a bit on the pricier side.

It doesn't fail, Everytime the service here is so magnificent and the service is always so on point I feel like a millionaire when I'm here

Fun happy hour with nice ambiance. Can get really busy but we came in on a weekend mid day. Staff is kind but service is a bit slow. Oysters were good. Wine isn't super cheap but not bad. Salmon tartare was good!

This is a great dollar oyster spot! It's so hard to find them in the city these days, but this place really has them for just $1 during happy hour. To pair, they have a $20 carafe of white or red wine. I would recommend getting there early because the place is small and fills up pretty quickly. It's a cute date spot and it feels very intimate with the close tables and candle lit atmosphere. The oysters come just stacked on a plate, which was a little strange, but it worked with the smaller tables. They don't give you the variety of sauces that usually come with oysters. Instead, they just give a simple vinegrette. The oysters were on the smaller side, but I enjoyed the taste. The service was also pretty attentive, and we were able to easily order a few rounds of oysters and wine without having to actively flag the servers down. The prices after happy hour do get pretty pricey. We got the charcuterie board, which came with 3 meats and 3 cheeses for $32. The portion size was pretty small for that small. There was maybe 2 or 3 bites of each, and it didn't come with many of the garnishes and extras that usually accompany boards like that. Overall though, I really enjoyed Ten Bells and can't wait to come back. Their happy hour lasted a good amount of time (until 7 pm) so you're really able to enjoy the oysters instead of feeling rushed.

I like the vibes here and the food is pretty good! We went during happy hour and got a great deal on some oysters. I'd totally come back to chill in Lower East eating oysters at 5pm.

I've been here twice now and have experienced about the same level of service both times. There is no signage outside of the restaurant which is very New York but also very annoying about New York. Once you enter, there's no one really there to greet you so you don't know where to go. When someone did realize I was looking for help someone came up to me and sat me down. Restaurant is very pretty, very intimate, cute ambience. Food is pretty good as well, lots of options. Wine selection is extensive and really good but the service is not very attentive, and a little too casual.

I stopped by Ten Bells with a group of 4 friends for their oyster happy hour on a Saturday afternoon. The happy hour deal was $1 oysters, and $20 carafes of red, white, or rosé wine. Service was friendly and food came out quickly. We sat in the back room, which felt private and cozy. We ordered several dozen oysters, carafes, and tapas. The stars of the show were the cheese croquettes and the Mac and Cheese! Unfortunately the oysters were very small and $20 for a carafe didn't feel like a great happy hour deal, so I'll try another oyster happy hour in the area next time.

Love love love their oyster happy hour and they have wine carafes for $20! $1 oysters until 7pm and they also have some other appetizers on happy hour too. They have bar seating and also tables. I got the meat and cheese board and there were multiple cheeses to choose from so def try them all! I also really liked the octopus here! Tender and flavorful. Okay and get the wine carafes because it's so worth it!! Overall pretty chill spot for hanging out or for dinner!

Great place for good vibes and happy hour - $18 wine carafes and $1 oysters! The oysters were what you would expect from $1 oysters, it took a while to come out and the server apologized for us. Walked in at 5:30 pm on a Friday and was able to get 2 seats at the bar. Ordered a Rose carafe ($18), Mac n Cheese ($9), and Empanadas ($9) and 10 Oysters ($10). After tax/tip, it came out to $52ish - a little more than I was expecting for a party of 2 for happy hour. The wine carafe isn't top-notch quality but definitely gets me tipsy so it does the job. Seems like there isn't an actual menu with entrees and stuff, just tapas and small bites but luckily there are plenty of restaurants in the area to grab dinner! Mac and cheese was pretty much macaroni with shredded cheese on top, not a lot of fixings, milk, cream or anything much really, pretty disappointing. Empanadas were good but it's more like a cheese and chorizon sandwich, pie crust isn't folded over into your conventional style empanada.

I am SO glad we did. The vibe drew us in, they had great music bumpin from the outside, it looked lively and welcoming. Let me tell you- I would have skipped dinner and just stayed here all evening if it was my choice! But alas, my husband wanted a bit more to eat. But let me tell you- their knowledge of wine is PRISTINE! I can't tell you what white wine we had but they captured our tastes perfectly. We also shared a bruschetta and it was deliciouso! First I'll start with the wine - we ended up trying all three happy hour wines (HH until 7), which the tables favorites were the white and we ended up getting a bottle to split once HH ended (but I really enjoyed the other vino verde option). It was incredibly refreshing and paired well with the many tinned fish options. As you'd expect - it's a pretty massive selection and there is bound to be a varietal and glass for any palate. It's also attached to a wine store - so it's fine to see all the bottles when peaking over. Food-wise - this is where it was hit or miss, they have a pretty extensive menu (with a whole tinned fish section!) and we ended up ordering the buratta on focaccia (buratta was excellent, focaccia was too dense for my tastes), mushroom truffle crostini (way too salty), the flatbread with sliced kielbasa (was fine), halloume (table favorite ), tinned sardines in lemon oil (delicious), tinned smoked trout (my favorite). Overall the four of us were very full at the end of the meal! The space itself felt very relaxing and rustic, and definitely got busier as the night went on (we got there at 6:50 and left around 9). The service was also fast and attentive - even for the amount of tables they were serving. Overall - I'd definitely go back again, and maybe just focus on the wine and another tinned fish selection!

Starting with the positives -the banchan was solid across the board and really flavorful. That said, charging for banchan feels strange to me. Traditionally, it's complimentary, like bread at an Italian restaurant so that part didn't sit right but it was flavorful. The chigae was interesting and probably the standout dish. It had a unique flavor that reminded me of a mix between soondubu and dwenjang chigae which worked well. Unfortunately, the rest was a miss. The bossam was overly salty and didn't feel true to the dish. The tteokbokki was another disappointment -it came with cheese (which wasn't expected) and just fell flat overall. For the hype, I expected much more especially because I've eaten Korean food my whole life. The venue is small and the seats in the back are uncomfortable.

First off, the front door is mounted on flimsy plastic hinges, so every time someone opens it, it swings open violently and knocks the vase off the nearby table. The service was somehow even worse. When I was there on Tuesday, May 19th from 8-10 PM, there was exactly ONE bartender working the entire place -- both inside and outside -- and she was unbelievably inattentive. My date and I sat at the bar for TWENTY MINUTES before she even acknowledged us or asked if we wanted drinks. I literally had to call out "Excuse me" just to order a $25 quarter-filled glass of wine. Embarrassing all around. And when we were ready to leave and wanted the check, the female bartender working on Tuesday May 19th from 8-10 PM was busy standing in the corner chatting with someone instead of helping customers. I haven't seen someone move this slowly or care this little since the DMV. TO MANAGEMENT - this was absolutely horrible, embarrassing, and unprofessional service. Clean up your act, and hire a second or even a third bartender.
