Me and my friends were driving back from OKC, and needed a pit stop to eat and found this hole-in-the-wall place on Yelp. We ordered sizzling bimbop and beef bulgogi and japchae. Food was delicious!!!! Czen was super sweet and welcoming from the very beginning helping us order since it was our first time there. He also made us complimentary Korean coffee after we ate! How awesome is that! It was very yummy and on the sweet side. Before we left, Czen introduced us to his cute wife. Very nice couple and very welcoming Korean place and very good food! I love the taste! The owner kept the place open late for me and my squad! Even as the last employee left he kindly said bye. I got the dumplings and they hit the spot. Also the decor is really nice. Excellent korean restaurant. I dined here with a friend a little over a week ago and just now realized I never put up a review for it. Unfortunately, I do not remember exactly what we had and there is not a current menu available as far as I can see. I remember being very impressed with the fried mackerel that came with my seafood and tofu soup. The mackerel was juicy and coated in a thin, crisp crust that I loved. I also remember having some sort of fried appetizer sampler that was fantastic as well. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but give them a try. I'm sure you'll love them. read more

I tried the Ramen and added dumplings in it and I liked it a lot!! I'm definitely not a Ramen expert but I thought everything was cooked well and the level of spice was perfect! Portion sizes can be bigger and I would like to see a little more flavor, but my overall experience was great! I really liked how they gave little hot dogs on the side, it tasted great with the Ramen!! Only downside is that they only have like 4 parking spots and it's right off of UNT so there isn't really parking near it either, you have to walk a bit to find free parking. read more

Don't let the outside of the building fool you! Inside is very clean and nice and the staff are friendly. This definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Denton, and with it's proximity to campus and reasonable prices, it's my go-to when I get out of class and I come once to twice a week :) As a person to whom Korean food was very foreign, I have to say things like Kimchi, fish cake, and some of the other sides have flavors I had to acquire. If you've never had Korean food and didn't like that taste, I recommend coming back to try them again, because they grow on you fast :) Anyway, the dishes are in nice large portions and the flavors are mixed beautifully! If you don't have much cash, they serve Korean Ramyun (I think it's called) for $4.99 and they're the only place in Denton that does. This is what I usually get because with sides, it's a lot of food for your money. Lastly, the music is a VERY nice change from the bad radio played in most small dine-ins around campus. They play mostly piano and jazz piano... The only thing is that you have to buy your own drink cans and bottles, so there's no refill and you do it separately from your meal. It would be nice if they had food+drink deals because depending on the drink it can make your total a little pricey. Overall 5 stars! Definitely don't pass this place up:)) read more

I kinda sorta liked bulgogi house it wasn't my favorite place to get Korean but now that this little shop has opened up, I feel like I can't get enough of this stuff. I ordered short rib soup ( and their sides that comes with the soups are unlimited, so like unlimited rice, seaweed salad, and of course kimchii- it all depends on the day and what they make so you might not get the same thing twice) and it was really hot, as in heat hot, so I got to try some other things that my friends had ordered. Their bibimbop was really good, my mom used to make it for me when I was in middle school and it tasted just like hers. One thing to note that made my experience really enjoyable here was the girl behind the counter, she seems really patient with my group because we had no idea what the majority of the menu was referring to, she helped us figure out what to order and answered any and all questions we had before and during our meal as well. I'm so glad Denton has good Korean food now. Now I don't have to drive out to carrolton to get my bibimbop. read more

I actually don't know how I haven't heard of this place sooner considering I've lived in Denton for 4 years. The restaurant itself is so cozy, cute, and semi-intimate. I had the Fried Shrimp and Ramen and both were absolutely delicious. The Ramen has lots of flavor and just the right amount of spiciness. The pricing of the food was my favorite as it's definitely affordable for a college student. Definitely worth stopping by and will 100% be back! read more

This is a small Korean restaurant just off the UNT campus. It serves fantastic food that has an authentic Korean feel to it. It takes a little long to get your food, and they have no kind of free-refill drinks going on, but the food is entirely worth it. I just hope you know how to eat with chopsticks. read more

I have eaten many Korean places (even in Korea) & this is the worst I have ever tried. Ordered Bulgogi & fried rice. I personally have had better Bulgogi using a store bought marinade than what was sourced here. Fried rice flavor would have been fine, but was mushy, over done. When I wait over 20 minutes for my food I expect to at least enjoy it. Major disappointment after reading other reviews. read more

The interior is nothing special, but the food is great! I have been here twice and both times, the food were spot on. If it was closer to where I live, I would probably go to this little restaurant every week. The service was slow, but decent enough. Actually, there is also the younger Korean lady who didn't give off a very friendly vibe and I never saw her crack a smile compared to the friendlier older Korean woman. I come to Denton once a semester and was craving Korean food (I lived in Korea). I don't have access to much of it where I live, so I was excited that this little hole in the wall had a good review in the Dallas Observer. I was not disappointed. It was super authentic, from the dishes to the atmosphere (just like a kimbap shop in Korea!) and was reasonably priced. The food was great. I absolutely love Korean food and there aren't really a lot of options in denton, so it's perfect that this one is right off of campus. I've been here multiple times and the food is always so good! I usually get the tofu soup with seafood,the bulgogi, or the bibimbap. They all come with side dishes and a bowl of rice. It takes a while to get your food but it's enough to serve 2 people or just one (you'll be suuuuuper full). Highly recommend!! :) read more

The food here is great. A nice change of pace from what is otherwise available in Denton. Spoiled from living 6 years in Austin, and two in Korea. The flavors are a little on the strong side but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The setting is pretty nice and actually like small shops in Korea.
