I was really disappointed because I love oysters and was surprised that they didn't add more to the sandwich. It was served with a nice spicy mayonnaise and homemade fries. Maybe they were running out of oysters, which they should have just taken it off the menu. Either way I'd rather have a traditional Po-boy loaded with oysters and less of the greens and tomatoes. The dog is necessary for one member of our party to assist her with her disability. The person who denied us service stated we could not remain in the restaurant with the service dog due to the fact they had what is considered an open kitchen. As per the American disabilities act the following is stated. "Service dogs are legally permitted to accompany their handlers in any area where the general public is allowed to go. An "open kitchen" layout does not strip a person with a disability of their legal rights to dine inside the establishment." "Federal ADA law completely overrides local health codes regarding animals in dining spaces." Upon attempting to inform the person in charge she refused to listen and ordered us out of the restaurant. We felt this should be known for anyone else who has a disability and requires the assistance of a service dog.
