Breakfast taco with dry scrambled eggs and sausage.

Service wasn't bad. The taco however was dry as #%^*! This is my second attempt here. Not worth it.

A new fast casual concept from the team behind Burger Joint. When we first got there, I notice the handicap parking is all the way in the back and I did not see a ramp, it was after I made my way to the restaurant that I was able to explore a bit and discover the ramp is on the other side of the restaurant, is on the side that faces the street Mulberry St. If they spent some more money on marker the the ground on painting a walking pathing leak from the handicap spot to the ramp, it would be nicer. You order at the counter and you pick up your food at the counter also. They have a big patio seating here. The food is reasonably priced. First the meat for the tacos are great but the corn tortilla is not fresh made, it taste like pre-made from a factory tortilla. The green salsa is spicy! I love that they have a drive-thru and they are open early for breakfast and you can order ahead of time on the app.

I have been waiting for this Taco Stand on Westheimer to open for quite some time. I finally got a chance to try it today when I shopped at my favorite thrift store - Out of the Closet. I walked across the street with 2 friends. As we walked in, I immediately noticed the easel sign promoting Negro Pozole. In this freaking cold weather... hell yeah. I wanted some hot soup. One of my friends ordered shrimp and fish tacos. The other guy ordered a fish taco. The dining room felt crowded as so many stools blocking the aisles. We were there after 6 pm on Saturday. The place had a few customers. The wait was kind of long. We waited 15 minutes to be exact. That's when I noticed so many things wrong. My soup was room temperature. Disappointed. My friend got 2 fish tacos on a tray. The other guy got one shrimp taco. They were polite at that time as why they didn't tell me. I also asked for a receipt when I placed the order but the cashier walked away after the register was closed. Because I got distracted after I joined the rewards program and got $7.60 reward for next time. I completely forgot about it until another customer asked me how much I paid for mine. I truly didn't know because I should have a receipt. Ugh. This restaurant is new. There are many kinks need to be worked out. Like we literally wasted 2 containers of pickled carrots. Because me and my friend only wanted to try one piece. We had to take the individual containers for each of us. My other friend actually took our leftovers with him. I wish there was a better way handling it.

Originally ordered a to-go order but had a meeting cancel, so I asked if I could sit at a table. The weather was nice so I opted for a table outside and the TVs and breeze did not disappoint. The location is near a bus stop so there's a steady stream of traffic outside of it, but it isn't distracting. I ordered the gringo burrito with chicken and beef and it didn't disappoint. And I loved the habanero and jalapeno sauces.

Newest location in my neighborhood, the drive thru is key for me. I think they're open til 4am on weekends. These are not the best tacos in Houston. For me it's convenience and it's pretty good food. They have the variety-agua frescas, salsa station, chips and queso tacos burritos quesadillas etc I was here for the first time after 1am during the Halloween Montrose pub crawl so opinions a bit skewed but my burrito was good. I only ate half of it, such a big portion. Service was quick and easy. But I have had Taco Stand sober many times too, Heights location! (Also with the drive thru model) This location has a full parking lot I think, in addition to a good amount of of patio/inside seating. Their business concept is open space, not an enclosed building per se. This group is expanding a ton in Houston- Burger Joint, Taco Stand, Happy go lucky (snow cones) and The Pizza Place coming soon too.

Pescado taco, they forgot the pineapple.

I got the shrimp taco and the Pescado taco. They were both extremely bland and I definitely will not get again. My son got the picadillo and it was cooked down so much that it tasted more of a chili than anything. I did enjoy their queso and chips and my husband enjoyed their Barbacoa . It's great that they're open late in the middle of the week when you're not wanting fast food but the food is just mediocre IMO.

Service long wait there was about 3 cars in drive thru when I went and only one other couple ordering at the same time. My wait for a burrito and one taco was about 25 min terrible . The burrito had a little bit of meat it had more beans and rice than anything else, the taco had a lot more meat tasted better . Ambiance was calm only about 6 people once I left . Taco stand is ok not on the top places to eat at for me and this is exactly why .

Brisket, egg, cheese and refried beans

I placed my order at the drive-thru and sat at the window for about 5 minutes, just on my phone, thinking they were finishing it up. Then I realized no one had even come to the window. I finally tapped my horn, and a guy came over and said the lady was bringing my order. When she did come, she explained she was the only one there handling the front, drive-thru, packing orders, everything. At that point, I honestly felt a little bad and apologized, because I thought maybe I hadn't been patient enough but realistically, it just seemed like I had been forgotten. Now... let's get to the food. The tortillas? Fresh. Like really fresh--definitely the highlight. But everything inside? No flavor at all. No salt. No pepper. No seasoning. Nothing. I had brisket, egg, cheese, and refried bean tacos--and somehow, all of that combined still tasted like... nothing. The tortilla carried the entire meal, but I had to trash it.

How my food was packed. Not appetizing

Drive though took over 25 minutes The young lady that took my order was rude They were out of queso When I finally got my food the bag was falling apart because it was packed poorly

You can't go wrong with a taco from the taco stand... The new location is closer to home so another yummy restaurant close to home... Today me and my daughter went with two chicken tacos and a grilled shirmp taco... The flavor never fails... Fresh and bursting flavor... The lemonade is fresh and the perfect sweetness...

GREAT FOOD AMAZING SERVICE YOSALIN WAS SUPER NICE!!! A cute little lunch/dinner spot just off montrose, good prices, good atmosphere!

Allow me to be Review No. 1,100 following my visit to this wonderful culinary gem yesterday…read more By default, Spring Branch is Houston's Koreatown, but it's not unusual to find establishments with Spanish-language branding on them throughout the neighborhood. And Tacos Doña Lena, on which I'll heap tons of praise on, is among them. A group of friends and I had supper here before a live show down the street at Eighteen Ten Ojeman. Upon seeing the storefront when we pulled into the parking lot, my first thought was, "Okay, this is legit Mexican, not Tex-Mex." The interior is quite small with some tables and an ample late Saturday afternoon crowd. What caught my eye is how the environment is what you might expect to find at a family-run taqueria off the beaten path. Rock en Español blaring from the sound system. Colorful papel picado draped from the ceiling. A framed Mexican flag and several references to the central Mexican municipality of Guanajuato. The intoxicating smell of spice-laced grilled beef wafting through the air. Simply put, we're not in Kansas anymore, Toto. I glanced at the menu. There are numerous, delicious-sounding items that happen to be wallet-friendly, a bit cheaper than if you were to go to Gringos or Jimmy Changas. According to a mutual, the tacos here are the main draw, but what really caught my attention and appetite was the ramen birria. Mujeres y caballeros (ladies and gentlemen), let me proclaim that Tacos Doña Lena turns a noodle dish with origins in Japan and is a known staple in college dorm rooms into a must-try on this part of America's fourth-largest city. Two amazing food cultures unite for a fiery meeting of the minds. Anchored by a rich, tasty consomé that's spicy but not enough to where you need to drink multiple glasses of water, there's a prime mix of ramen noodle, beef birria, cheese, fried egg, rabanos, garbazo, and corn accompanied by cilantro, onions, and a pair of fried tostadas. I was so impressed with how the contents of the ramen blended together. Since it was ramen after all despite the south of the border touchup, I still ate it the traditional way: pick up the noodles and sip the soup. There was so much that I had no choice but to put it in a takeout container. Sure, Spring Branch may be home to some great traditional Korean restaurants, but don't sleep on Tacos Doña Lena.

I don't like cinnamon but the horchata was addicting and it paired so well with the food. My friend got their Melon Agua Fresca and he said it was really refreshing as well. The gorditas were stuffed and they were so delicious, the cheese was melting and the bread was warm and not dry. The Quesadillas were my favorite. You put both the red sauce and the green sauce on it, a lot of lime juice, and it's perfect. I forgot to order cilantro on mine but they do give you it at no extra cost. Everything is pretty much green and white. There's covered patio seating. The individual taking orders seemed to have a bit of an attitude and just seemed "over it." Furthermore, we mentioned having a queso coupon and when we were given the total I placed my card on the reader and I was told that I did it too fast and the queso wasn't taken off. The odd thing was, we walked away and realized that they didn't add the queso and the coupon was for free queso so they could have just rung up an additional queso.
