I have been to the Table several times and I have never had a bad experience. They treat everyone so well there! Their menu has gotten bigger since the last time I was there and I am impressed. With that said we were a big group of about 15 adults and 4 kids for an early lunch during the week not on a weekend. As my husband and I continue to explore the eateries in DeLand, The Table was on the top of our list, so Bottomless Brunch on a Sunday was our perfect opportunity. The entrance to The Table is a little tricky to locate but there are signs nearby that direct patrons to go around the corner and walk down the exterior staircase. The outdoor waiting area is serene with a water feature and green "grass" (astroturf that looks better than most fake grass). There are indoor and outdoor seating options available. For the Bottomless Brunch option ($25 per person), patrons are provided with a menu and are able to order as much as is desired from the menu. There's an abundance of options - sweet, savory, meatless or with meat - including fried chicken (my personal favorite), bacon, French toast, skirt steak, macaroni and cheese and the list goes on. Although most of the food options were good, some items (that were intended to be hot) came cold and our server forgot to put in one of our orders and rarely checked on us. Picture this. Easter Sunday. We wind up at The Table. Why? Well, we were in DeLand for the weekend for camping. We had discussed going to brunch before driving back home. This was our final hoorah so-to-speak before we parted, and given that we had chosen to go to this restaurant days before given reviews, well... this was just okay. I had called the restaurant the day before and they told me that unless you had a party of six or more, you couldn't make a reservation. Fine. Was told, too, to call on Sunday to see how long the wait was. I called, no answer, and so we went and hoped for the best. Restaurant is in downtown DeLand. Parking is free and it's mainly street parking. Managed to get the last spot. Score! Going in, I was a bit confused as they seem to be on the side and they had their downstairs open but not their upstairs. At any rate, given our camping adventure, we chose to sit inside. They had a bottomless Easter brunch for $35 per person and we did that. The brunch had a bit of everything. You could order items from the menu like bacon or quiche with the server. The kitchen would later bring it to you. You could also go to the omelette station and have an omelette made before your very own eyes. Or you could go to the carving station to partake in some prime rib, potatoes, and carrots. Did I mention they had a dessert corner, too? Honestly they really had lovely presentation for the food. Now the taste unfortunately suffered some, but I think that's what happens when you have bunches of food for people on a holiday. Service was friendly but slow. Restaurant itself was loud, barely able to have a conversation. Still, I didn't find it unbearably loud. My companion might disagree though. I thought for what it was that it was fine. Just that. Fine. Really liked the quiche and coffee, not to mention their raspberry lemon pudding dessert. Omelette and meats were a tad salty for my taste, but oh well. I'd be willing to give them a second chance if in the area, but somehow I doubt I'll be there anytime soon, and if I somehow am, I think my companion would drag me elsewhere. The Table could be much better the three stars I gave it. Some pluses; the wait staff was nice, we were sat promptly, our water glasses were empty, food was acceptable. The negatives include; the bathrooms were in horrible condition, the entire restaurant needs a deep clean, the food was nothing special, and for some reason it appears the Christmas decor is still out and it's the day after Valentine's Day. The pepper jelly sauce used as a dip for the chicken saved the dish making it delicious. The Mac and cheese was yummy. The restaurant floors were sticky and the restroom had not been cleaned well. A lot of grime around the faucet and drain. It was not stained but had not been cleaned well for a while. The inside door was very dirty on the lower third. We decided to give this place a try based on the Pot Pie reviews. The server was amazing, extremely helpful and friendly. However, after a half hour wait, the waiter told us that the kitchen couldn't make us a pot pie. Therefore, we decided to leave and go to a different place. As we were going up the stairs, the manager approached us and said the chef could make a pot pie but that it would take approximately 30 more minutes. We declined the offer. The most overpriced mediocre food around. This place used to be great food with the previous owners but now the quality has significantly declined. We ordered the beef tenderloin tips and risotto... the green beans tasted like they came from a can and the total amount of beef was only about one ounce.. this dish was $30 and it was pretty unappetizing. Sunday brunch visit. The interesting thing about the brunch is that it is not a brunch "buffet" but more of a two hour period of time to eat as much as is brought to you for $20. Expect to spend some time as things don't move very quickly. Reservations are highly recommended. We Waited outside at an empty table for 30min before they actually gave us that same table to sit at. Some of this may also be due to the number of servers that they have. To start you order 3 to 4 items and they bring them out to you. You do not go up to a buffet line. The wait staff brings the food on small plates. Overall the food was good but way to much salt. We came here on a Monday afternoon May 2021. We were seated quickly and greeted by a friendly waiter who brought us water and the menus. There are three girls so we decided to get three things and split it. We got the fried green tomatoes. Four tomatoes topped with a tasty marinara and herbs. $9. We got the steak and greens. Which was a large Caesar salad with steak. The steak was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. $14. We got the grilled veggie sandwich, the vegetables were yummy and full of flavor and I loved the bread that it came on. Served with french fries or quinoa we went with the french fries and it was a good choice. They were thick cut, fluffy Hot and delicious! The place is really pretty inside with a upscale fresh farm house feel. They have a nice bar and plenty of outside seating as well. The restaurant is actually down two flights of stairs so you would not see it from the road there is a beautiful mosaic mural of a manatee on the wall with a waterfall. If you're unable to take the stairs there is also a elevator to take you down enter from the right side of the restaurant. Parking is limited but there is also street parking. This seems like a drinks and apps kind of place. The restaurant is SUPER cute, inside and out. There's plenty of parking and we were lucky enough to catch the Christmas decorations. The cocktails looks delicious on the menu that we received, but as it was a weeknight, we did not have any. We ordered the tot app and it was DELICIOUS! Our service was subpar, unfortunately, even on what looked like a slow night. I like to think we are pretty easy going people, but not getting a refill until halfway through dinner is a little ridiculous... I got the fried chicken and it was pretty good! Located in the heart of Downtown DeLand is this amazing underground restaurant with a great outdoor space. I know Yelp says they don't have outdoor dining, but they do, and it's a beautiful and relaxing space with fake turf grass, wooden tables, umbrellas, beautiful plants and a spectacular water feature with a tiled wall depicting underwater life with the manatee as its focal point. The restaurant is actually located underground in the basement of their home store. You access the restaurant around the corner and down the stairs. It reminded me of my visit to Kiev [Ukrain] where they are known for their underground culture. Masks are mandatory and there was hand sanitizer on every table. We ate outside but had to go into the restaurant to be seated. The inside teleported me to an eclectic and rustic dining room filled with so much charm. I did feel like I was sent back in time to a simpler era. With its open, fresh, and clean space, I was torn between sitting outside and inside. The nice weather won, so outside we went. The menu. They have a breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, as well as Sunday Brunch. Ladies...they have a build your own mimosa for $5 and a carafe for $20. I ordered the South of The Boarder Bowl that included blackened chicken, cilantro rice, black bean and corn salsa, pico de gallio, avocado and cilantro crema for $14. It was well worth the money. The ingredients were fresh, and they serve generous portions. I shouldn't have, but I ate it all, it was delicious. My husband ordered the Southern Cob Salad with chopped iceberg and romaine lettuce, grilled chicken, avocado, heirloom tomatoes, crispy bacon (bacon makes everything taste great), hard boiled egg, blue cheese crumbles, and buttermilk ranch dressing for $14. It too was a very generous size and judging from all the sounds he was making, and his statements, he really enjoyed his meal and left nothing behind. We had a great time at The Table for their Bottomless Brunch. It was a spontaneous plan, and we arrived about an hour before they closed for dinner reset. The food options were plentiful, food was pretty tasty, and it came out quickly. The standout of the items ordered was definitely the shrimp and grits. They were so good, that my gf who HATES grits ordered an extra side of just the grits afterwards. Their bottomless brunch is $25/person and you can order single mimosas or bottomless for an extra $20 (I think that's what it was?) They also have other great cocktail options. We ended our meal with cold brew based cocktail aptly named "second wind". It was really good! They only downside to this experience was that it was very hard to hear the person next to me. Ive sat on this review for a while trying to decide whether or not to post it, but here we go. The walk in cooler is the most disorganized and disgusting health code violation that you could FATHOM! Uncovered food on the floor and mold everywhere. It is truly a disgrace. The kitchen itself is coated in a thick layer of grime, to the point where most of the staff will not eat there anymore. Coupled with a severe ROACH problem, I have no earthly clue how they have ever passed a health inspection. The juices at the bar RARELY get changed in appropriate times. Often times I have seen pineapple juice smell like old bread. The place floods every other week, but the owners refuse to do anything about it. It must be easy to sweep under the rug when you are never there. Disappointed with your meal and want to speak to a manager? Good luck. This establishment does not have a SINGLE manager hired. I cant tell if it is because the owners do not want to pay, or if they just can't find someone willing enough to sacrifice their integrity to try to pretend to be proud about the operation.
