Sides of crispy Brussels sprouts and goat cheese grits
Lisa M.

Absolutely stunning building in historic downtown serving upscale southern comfort food, what more is there to say? Ok there's a lot. We went for dinner on a weekday night and ordered the tenderloin tips and the pork ossobuco as well as sides of the goat cheese grits and crispy Brussels sprouts. The tenderloin tips were as the name implies very tender and even slightly on the medium side of temperature. The gravy didn't have any significant flavor, but the risotto had an overwhelming rosemary flavor and unfortunately was still a bit crunchy in some parts. The green beans were perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned - I would have had double of those over the risotto. The pork ossobuco was the outstanding item of the night. Fall off the bone tender and succulent and so well seasoned. The risotto suffered the same issues as our other dish but again the green beans brightened things up. The goat cheese grits were as you'd expect, a bit of funk, coarse grits, could have been a bit creamier for my taste. The crispy sprouts were somehow both crispy and moist - when you bit in you got an initial crunch but then a gush of the tangy sauce. I liked them well enough but can't say I'd order them or the grits again. It's both romantic and trendy but quaint and welcoming at the same time. Service is attentive but not overbearing and very welcoming. Aside from the risotto everything else was enough to remind me how good this place is and how much more I need to try on their menu!

Fried Brussels and whipped sweet potatoes

Food: we went to downtown Deland to visit a family member who lived on that side of town and went to dinner at the Table due to menu options. We got the rigatoni and added shrimp, the pork osobuco, and the short ribs. We also got whipped sweet potatoes and fried brussels. The sweet potatoes weren't really whipped though, probably more like mashed. Pros: flavors were fantastic (in my opinion perfectly seasoned but one of the people in my party needed cheese on the pasta), pork was TENDER, shrimp was delicious. the sides were great and enjoyed how they were small portions! Cons: the short ribs was alittle tough, risotto was delicious but not a traditional Arborio rice. Mild mushroom flavors! Service: our server was super busy and was juggling the bar as well! We do wish that she had asked if we would like anything else before she brought our checks, since we took a peak at dessert posted on the hostess stand and they looked fire! We didn't want to seem too needy since we could tell they were getting busy too. Ambiance: decor is nice but overall dusty. The table we sat was by the window and had dust all around the corner, when we opened the silverware dust would fly around. I noticed another table near us with a person constantly sneezing as well. If I lived close, perhaps I would take the food to go next time. But for dine in, the experience was mediocre

Mahi tacos

Patrick was a very considerate and kind server. I believe he was embarrassed by several mistakes from the kitchen, including the very sad looking Mahi tacos. One person in our party, took one look at the tacos and went back and changed her order to the chicken pot pie. The appetizers of cheese, curds, and salmon crostini's were excellent and the bottomless mimosa was a good deal. It's definitely a very cute place, but this Sunday service was quite slow.

Their "U-10" scallops. Pathetic

I order the Sea scallops and received Bay Scallops. I sent them back and ordered the Farmers Daughter. In all fairness the Farmers daughter was good

Braised beef

This is my second time at The Table - and I am not impressed. I first tried them for brunch a week ago on a Saturday - they serve it tapas style which is strange - I got their chicken and waffles, shrimp & grits and fried chicken with pepper jelly - the only noteworthy dish was the pepper jelly which paired well with the chicken I decided to try them again and - . I had dinner here tonight - there is a lack in attention to detail - the table they seated me at was wet . I ordered the braised beef with risotto - the beef itself was cooked well with good flavor but the risotto was overcooked to the point where I wondered if it was grits. I ordered a guava margarita And I have yet to taste the margarita - half of the salt was in the drink 1 I couldn't even finish it. I don't think I'll be back again as I'm sure downtown Deland must have better food offerings than this. I was so disappointed I went to the Deland artisan fair and was able to get some really decent food after.

service was a bit slow during lunch but food was delicious and ambiance is chill which made up for it

Chicken Pot Pie
Debi W.

We haven't been here in over 5 years. Surprised to find they've moved down stairs to a dark, cave like room. Maybe at night it has more ambiance, but at lunch it felt dark. Next time we'll opt for their outdoor dining patio. Be aware the stairs are steep. You have to call a number to access the elevator. The old space is only opened Friday-Sunday and is a cocktail/wine bar. The chicken pot pie was delicious as always. Bit enough to share. The chicken and cilantro rice bowl lacked enough cheese sauce to balance the textures. It was dry. I didn't even ask to take home leftovers. Service was slow, but very friendly. We weren't in a hurry so this was fine. Free parking one lot over. Closer parking will cost you.

Cheese curds with ranch and adobo bbq
Jennifer O.

Service was amazing and food was decent. Everything seemed to need a tad of salt. Highlight of the night was the ranch for the cheese curds. I'm a ranch snob and this was an herbalicious delight. Wasn't a huge fan of the bbq... wasn't quite smoky or spicy enough to distinguish it from ketchup. Brussels are my hubby's fave so when we saw on the menu I knew we needed to split. I liked the main meal we split, meatloaf, mashed taters and green beans. Was a lot of food. We split plus brought some home. Again needed a bit of salt but the veggies were delish! Great ambience and would love to come back to try their salads as they all looked amazing.

Tenderloin tips

Came in after a campus tour. I am an alumni and really missed Main Street grille but this place was cute. We were greeted and ata outside since nice out. We ordered drinks and apps the pink lady was yummy and not too sweet. Our server was honest and helped us pick our choices. The table tots were yummy and that sauce is delish didn't get a pic cause at so fast. We ordered fried chicken, the pot pie and the Asian tenderloin Tips. The fried chicken was boneless thighs and had great flavor the Mac and cheese was delish. The pot pie looked great and the crust was good. The flavor could have been more pronounced but it was decent. The tips were pretty and very tasty not really fried rice but still good We will def be back!!

We decided to stop in and try The Table again with another couple. What a great time! The menu has something for everyone and the restaurant is just so beautiful inside. They had a nice selection of wines and an interesting cocktail menu. One of us got the Old Fashioned and it was fantastic. Our meals were all delicious! However, the beef tenderloin tips were a bit dry and hard to chew. I would highly recommend trying the beef short rib or pork osso buco if you're looking for some really tender meat. Our waitress was wonderful - we never needed to ask for a refill and she was knowledgeable about the menu.

What an incredible gem in Deland!…read more Parva is a delightful restaurant, bar, and bakery right on Woodland Blvd. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent throughout our time here. We arrived early for our reservation and grabbed seats at the bar. We were immediately greeted with a smile and extensive menus! This menu is so vast, it reminded me of the Cheesecake Factory in the best way. There is truly something for everyone here. Carnivores, vegetarians, vegans, you name it. I opted for the vegetarian "Vegetable Bowl" and my husband went for the fajitas after another guest recommended both items. The cilantro sauce and the caramelized plantains were my favorite part of the Vegetable bowl, and my husband loved every bite of his fajitas. Everything was hot, fresh, and it arrived quickly. There are a number of different dining areas here and we loved sitting in the back dining room in a comfy booth. Even though other diners were present, it felt like we had the place to ourselves because the tables are spaced far enough apart that there's plenty of personal space. No need to shout to hear your dining companions. All in all we loved Parva and look forward to coming back on our next trip to Deland.

Having a bar was something I didn't expect to see but definitely a plus for the restaurant. The bakery is small but looks like it's serving its purpose to provide customers with some variety Latin bakery goods. Our two parties ordered chicken and churrasco bowls, respectively, and definitely did not disappoint. Good size portion and flavored for enjoyment. Our server was very attentive and he continuously checked on us while not in a disruptive fashion. Will definitely make a return visit.

I've heard nothing but amazing things about BakeChop in DeLand (110 Artisan Aly, right in the heart…read moreof downtown), so I finally had to check it out--and wow, it lived up to every bit of the hype and then some! This scratch kitchen spot has quickly become one of my favorite places in town, and after our recent visit, my guests and I were all blown away. The food was absolutely amazing, impressing everyone at the table so much that we're already planning our next trip back--definitely going to be regulars from here on out. Everything is made from scratch with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the care and love that goes into each dish. Their menu is creative and diverse--think insanely good hand-crafted sandwiches, burgers that are huge and perfectly executed (juicy patties on toasted buns, cooked exactly to order with complex, flavorful toppings), hearty salads, quiches, sloppy joes, and daily specials that keep things exciting. We tried a mix of items, and nothing disappointed; flavors were bold, portions generous, and every bite was packed with that homemade goodness. The homemade desserts and rocking sweets are worth saving room for too--they're the perfect finish to an already stellar meal. The vibe is cozy and welcoming--cute little spot with indoor/outdoor seating, great service that's attentive and friendly (staff makes you feel like family right away), and it's in such a charming part of Artisan Alley next to the brewery, perfect for a casual lunch, dinner, or just hanging out. They even offer delivery and catering if you want to bring that magic home or to an event. BakeChop is the real deal--a local gem putting heart into food, family, friends, and good times. If you're in DeLand and haven't been yet, stop waiting and go try it. You won't be disappointed; we'll be back often for sure! Highly recommend calling (386) 873-6524 or checking bakechop.com for the menu and hours. Keep up the incredible work, team! 1computeroutlet , 1websitenow

All the positive reviews led me here for lunch when visiting the city with my mom. This restaurant…read moresits in the heart of downtown Deland amongst alot of shops. There was a market going on that we enjoyed exploring on our way over to the restaurant. It's not very big on the inside but does have tables inside and out. The inside is open allowing you views into the kitchen area. I ordered the Allicin Burger which is a beef burger with french onion reduction, crispy onion straws, swiss cheese, and garlic aioli. The meat was very juicy and flavorful. I enjoyed all the onions. It made for a solid meal. The old bay potato chips were a good pairing for the burger. My mom ordered a more traditional burger and she liked it. I noticed the bakery item display and it had a good selection. I deducted 1 star for customer service. While the food was very good, the service did not feel warm. Our server felt very cold and was short with us. She never once cracked a smile and it almost felt like we might have been bothering her by just being there. I wish we had a friendly server because it would have made the experience much more enjoyable.
