We loved The Table Catering. They catered our weekly lunch group for several years until our situation changed. Chef Peter's emphasis on seasonal and hand crafted food is a good fit for Berkeley. Nicole and Peter catered our wedding nearly ten years ago (September 2013) and were the perfect partners we did not know we were looking for. We had a wedding of about 100 people, nearly all of whom were coming from out-of-state. We wanted to give our guests a fancied-up-backyard feeling while sharing the amazing produce and food tastes we had grown to love since moving to the bay area. Meanwhile, we had some very serious site restrictions, including no gas or electric, and very limited access to water. Nicole and Peter worked with us to deftly navigate many constraints (including a number of allergies) and create a plan that delighted us all. We couldn't have had the incredible wedding experience we did if it weren't for Nicole and Peter. They both went out of their way to take care of us - I still remember as our reservation time was drawing to a close, seeing Nicole quietly grab a broom and make cleanup happen, probably because she noticed we hadn't made a plan for how cleanup was going to happen. It's just one of the many, many ways that these two took care of us and our guests. (And this can be a reminder to you, planning-your-wedding reader: don't forget to plan who and when cleanup happens!) And the food. We *still* have people reminisce about how much they liked the food at our wedding. One of our guests emailed me years later to say "my husband hates cauliflower and loved the cauliflower ceviche at your wedding, is it possible to get that recipe??". I have had the good fortune of partnering with them since 2011 when they were operating a side business known as Callis Cuisine. I first enjoyed their healthy and delicious meals as a consumer and was so impressed with the quality and freshness of the ingredients that I hired Chef Peter and Nicole for a catering event for my employer in Alameda. They proved to be an engaged and responsive team who helped customize the menu for a celebratory meal, taking into account dietary restrictions and a limited budget. Each step of the way, they proved I could count on them, and they overdelivered on what they promised (and I have very high expectations!). Over the course of the past decade, we have continued to build our relationship, and they are a vendor I trust implicitly and often refer to others. Everything the Callis' prepare is delicious, healthy, and thoughtful! They catered our wedding 8 years ago and it was a wonderful experience. We and all of our friends had a great time at the wedding and we couldn't have done it without them! The Callis' worked really hard all day but they were so nice and composed that we knew they had everything under control. It was a pleasure to work with them on all the planning. The walk through in particular helped us get a sense of how we should set up the hall and structure the evening.  We also  appreciated that they helped us stretch our budget as much as possible. We received lots of comments from our guests that the food was great. Everyone raved especially about the potato salad and the meatballs! Now we use their weekly meal delivery service and it is a treat every Wednesday. The menu is creative (a nice way to get out of the weekday meal rut) but the use of fresh local ingredients keeps things simple enough for our 7 year old to enjoy most meals. The Table Catering catered a luncheon birthday party for us with about 65 guests. The food was absolutely incredible, and beautifully displayed. The chicken ratatouille was one of the most delicious dishes I have even eaten, no exaggeration! The kale/chickpea and broccoli pesto salads were perfectly made, flavorful, and so good. They even made plain pasta and chicken for the kids, and added a side of polenta as a bonus. They were helpful and professional, took photos during the event, and even helped us slice up the huge birthday cake we brought ourselves. I cannot recommend them highly enough! read more

The entire process from the very first email to the end of the wedding was incredibly smooth and just delightful.
