I made trips to visit The Table before I ever even lived in Asheboro! I was even more excited when we decided to move to the area. Overall I easily give The Table 5 stars. The service is good, the food is even better, the price is very fair, the atmosphere and decor (always fresh flowers) only improves each time we visit and it's worth a wait (if you end up having to wait a bit for a table) We love to pop in for a fresh lunch made from local ingredients. We love their coffee as well (Counter Culture coffee, roasted in NC, which they also offer on certain weekdays for purchase by the 12 (?) oz bag). All the baristas are five stars in our book! They offer milk alternatives for their cold and hot drinks as well, including almond or oat milk. It's a popular spot, especially during peak lunch hours. If you are in a rush, I would recommend calling in your order and getting it to go. Otherwise, plan on a wait. But it's a pleasant wait because the location and scenery are lovely and you can wait outside if you prefer. And the food and ambiance are such a reward for your relatively brief wait There are also less busy hours with absolutely no wait at all. NOTE: They have a SIDE COUNTER (across from the barista area, near all the baked goods behind clear glass walls), where you can sidle up and place a coffee or bakery order quickly. If you are not ordering food, there is no need to wait in the line that leads to the main front cash register! I am gluten intolerant and even though it's been 8+ years I still miss gluten filled baked goods! The Table has scratched my itch over and over again. Their amazing pastry chef creates not only magical baked goods using traditional wheat flours...but somehow she manages to include a few gluten free items every THURS - SAT! (Note: I do not know if these items are appropriate for those with celiac, but as someone who is severely gluten intolerant, I personally have never been bothered by anything I've eaten here). I've had their gf blueberry coffee cake....delicious! It has fresh lemon zest which really brightens the berry flavor. Their gf chocolate whoopie pies w vanilla cream filling is unbelievable! They are light and airy and just the right balance of sweetness vs deep choc flavor. Their gf choc & peanut butter cake is phenomenal! It is a best seller even among those who are not gluten intolerant! It's rich and fudgey with so many delectable layers. I try to stop in at least once a week to buy my hubby fresh baked bread and 'bread day' is now officially his favorite day. They also offer terrific discounts on their day old bread. Perfect to take home, slice up, and put it your freezer. Then, just take out a slice or two at a time for that soft fresh baked bread feel and taste. read more

Stopped in for lunch. Food was delicious. Everything was fresh. Breads, sandwiches, salads, coffee and desserts were excellent. Would highly recommend for food, coffee, or desserts. they have everything to go as well. Look forward to eating here again. Good service and friendly staff. read more

Goodness gracious. I've dined in Paris, lived in NYC for 13 years and this place takes the cake. We ordered a lot bc after going to the Zoo we were starving. I got the steak sandwich with seasonal pasta, corn chowder & a cinnamon bun. My wife got Hummus w/ cucumbers and our little boy ordered French fries! Everything was spot on. There was a long lone but we didn't care. I sat with our child while my wife ordered and man did we get some delicious food. Everything was fabulous. I will be checking out their location in Greensboro but I doubt it's as good bc everything in Greensboro is mediocre. This place did not disappoint. If we go to the Zoo again we're coming back here. And if you're in Asheboro I highly recommend this spot. It's cute and quaint and just really well done. Cheers. read more

Really good sandwiches! We came her based on reviews and it was great. Seating is very limited though and people eat slow and enjoy it (not a quick in n out type café) so we had to sit outside in the cold air with a toddler- that was my only complaint (no heaters outside either) so we ate quickly and left without remembering to grab some dessert/pastries)! The soup was really good too I'd go back - and get it to go and just eat in the car.. Or go after the lunch rush(like after 2pm). It seems this is one of the only places to eat in the area- you have to park across the street and walk too. Doesn't seem they have any parking of their own . read more

This place is about an hour thirty minutes from home. So worth the trip. We have only been for lunch, but hear breakfast is equally as good. We always leave with bakery goods. My husband had the pimento cheese sandwich and I had the quiche. Both amazing. I also like to shop their gifts. I have bought two baskets this trip. read more

Excellent food! Normally a wait especially on the weekend but worth the wait. Wish it was open longer.

Great food, waitress/server was very pleasant and helpful. Small but pleasant vibe, pleased with our brunch.

First time at the table and will definitely be returning! As I'm sure you've heard, it is amazing! The staff are very polite and welcoming. The dining area is so unique and beautiful. If you are in downtown Asheboro, definitely stop in for a quick bite to eat, or a delicious pastry! read more

After getting to the BBQ competition just in time to entirely miss the food, we were looking for a place to eat. This one was right there and based on the reviews, was probably a good bet. This is a cute little upscale cafe that looks like it belongs in a college town. It has a limited, but progressive menu, friendly people, and a bakery case that makes you want to eat your way from one end to the other. Since I hadn't actually eaten all day, I could have eaten the north end out of a south bound hog. Because we had been out in search of BBQ, I was kind of set on that. Luckily, they had a lovely smoked brisket sandwich. I ordered that and the truffle fries which, remarkably, were not at an additional price like truffle fries usually are. It was only a short time til our sandwiches came out. My brisket was beautifully smoked, had a bit of fat, but was not covered in it, a light layer of slaw and a good dollop of spicy BBQ sauce. There was an adequate amount of beef on the sandwich. It was made with a homemade bread that had a bit of rosemary. I'm totally not a fan of rosemary, but it was such a slight amount that it wasn't objectionable. The sauce was a bit too spicy for my taste and it masked some of the lovely smokiness of the meat. The next time, I would order the sauce on the side. The fries were delicious! They were hot and crispy. The use of truffles requires a deft touch. It's so easy to let it overwhelm other ingredients. These fries were perfectly balanced. They came with a side of ketchup, but seriously, who dunks sumptuous truffle fries in ketchup? Just seems wrong. We couldn't leave without trying a few things from the bakery case. We first tried the gluten free brown sugar donut. Okay, not something I'd do again. The flavor was very nice with a hint of nutmeg, but the texture just didn't work for me. The almond brioche, on the other hand, was something I could eat a full tray of. It was buttery with a fabulous almond flavor that brought to mind a fine marzipan. Last on our list of pastries was the lemon torte. I'm a big fan of lemon cakes and this one was wonderful! The balance of the delicate mousse, the tender sponge and the lovely buttercream was a thing of beauty. I have very mixed feelings about living so far from here. I'd love to be able to go more often, but I'd be as big as a house, so am kind of glad it's not right down the road. We'll go back every time we're in the neighborhood. read more

Let me start with a positive note... the food is great, the staff is kind, but overpriced and service sucks. Condiments are not easily accessible, if you need something you have to get up and and ask for it, like water, ketchup and any other extra condiments you may need. Hope you reconsider the way you serve, not too traditional, not fond of it. read more

Such fresh food and not a single thing disappointed. Will go back anytime! All of the desserts hit the spot as well! read more

Lump crabmeat cake sandwich surprise! Some things I don't order any more as they just continue to disappoint. A lump crabmeat cake is one of those as they typically are too small, have too much filling or the flavor is off for any of several reasons. Enter the Table Farmhouse Bakery and their LCC sandwich... a gustatory treasure. Something just said "take the chance", I did and was well rewarded. The lump crabmeat cake was moist, cooked perfectly, mostly crab and... I could taste, enjoy and savor the crab. How often does that happen? Served with the sandwich were truffle fries that were crafted from potatoes with their skins on and deep fried until lightly brown with a balance between crispy exterior and soft inside. I added a little additional salt and appreciate the chef letting me decide how much salt I preferred. The meal was plated attractively as well as fairly priced at $11. There are other items in the menu that tempted me and I shall be trying those on subsequent visits. Yes, I am returning... his one is a keeper! read more

Wonderful restaurant with great customer service! The food is great and I really enjoyed the pear latte.

Stopped by this hip spot near a getaway cabin in NC and it was the perfect spot to say adieu to a lovely mini vacay. The lunch was spectacular and the dessert was yum yum good! I had a chicken sandwich that tasted way better than your "typical" grilled chicken salad. My husband had a soup that he really liked and slurped to its completion! I wanted to box up all of the desserts and take them on the road, but I held off and only boxed up a few pastry selections. This will definitely be a return to spot when I'm in the area. read more

not a black friendly place the messed my order up about 3 times and made it seem like I was dumb or was wrong when I said something about it , i asked one guy for some more syrup and he said he was gonna get it for me had me waiting for 10 mins before I just got up and left because he never brought it to me terrible experience read more

Thank you, Yelpers, for this one! My family and I went to the NC Zoo and were looking for a delicious place to have lunch at. The Table was perfect! First off, it looks like Joanna Gaines decorated the place. The decor and the farm tables are just beautiful. There was a line to the door when we showed up around 1 on a Saturday, but the line does move fast. We seated ourselves at the very large community table to wait for our food. I enjoyed the pimento cheese sandwich on fresh bread with truffle fried. My husband ordered the caramel apple French toast and practically licked his plate. We also got some lattes with beautiful foam art. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. We got some cheese danishes and pimento cheese croisants to go. Both were excellent the next morning! read more

We love this place. The ambience, the staff and the food are what makes this place so lovable. The plenty of pastries that they have on display is meant to distract you from what you intend to order. We ordered the Farmer Quiche with Grits, The omelette with red potatoes and Brioche French Toast with ginger whooped cream and pecan To keep us upbeat, we also asked for Cayenne Cinnamon Latte and the Mocha Latte. I liked the Cayenne Cinnamon latte better. The quiche was very fluffy and they were generous in portion. The grits were ok. I would have liked more butter to it. The omelette was good nothing to rave about but their fried red potatoes sautéed with thyme and rosemary were really good. The highlight of our brunch was not the brioche French toast but the Ginger Whipped Crream with pecans that came with it. It perfectly complemented the French toast and the blueberry compote glaze. The playing couldn't have been better - we had one of our French toast hanging out of the plate. For the road, we picked some macaroons(Grape Vanilla and Passion fruit?) and the hazelnut and chocolate mousse torte(it's cake made with no Flour and nuts). Liked the Grape Vanilla better and we felt the macaroons were ready fresh and comparably big for being priced at just $2. Their torte was ok, nothing to rave about. Bottom line: good food, ambience and staff. Will be back ! read more

I had the pimento grilled cheese with bacon which was spot on!!! And for 10$ it was certified perfect!!! Then came the fries!!! Perfectly salted!!! Smaller then skinny fries which at first I was confused, then I realized it was to maximize the surface area for the truffle oil they fries it in!!!! I was in heaven!!! I felt bonded to Gia and wanted more!!! And for another 10$ I would gladly do it all over again!!!! Now it's macaron time!!! read more

We drive an hour to get here for lunch. Granted, it is great to get out of the house these days, but the meal itself is worth the time. Fresh, creative and well presented. Locally sourced and deliciously built. The sandwiches are always perfect. Balanced flavors and ingredients and not overdone. The soups are bright, tasty and very satisfying. The baked items and breads are an excursion of delight on their own. We get a loaf of the sourdough and have to put it out of reach in the car so it gets to our house. You cannot go wrong with any of the items on the menu. I had the Blue Fig Steak and Cheese sandwich yesterday (on the recommendation of the cashier) and it was amazing. Fig jam and blue cheese. Liberating. My wife had the quiche - rich flavor and light texture. Try that at home! As good as the food is, the people are better. A welcoming and authentic inclusion into their world. Dusty is a treat. Travel to Asheboro. Get out of the house and sit at The Table. You will be revived. read more

Amazing find! Who knew such a trendy little restaraunt would be tucked away in Asheboro. The place had a steady stream of customers but the service was quick and friendly. The cashier told us they use as much local products as possible. For example all the breads are made that morning. The pastries and cakes look amazing and our Egg Nog Latte was scrumptious. The French fries were possibly the best I've had and were cooked in Truffle oil. The Sandwiches were stuffed full of goodies and presented very well. read more

My absolute favorite restaurant at the moment. Their selection is delightful, I've never had anything on the menu that I haven't loved. I normally stick to routine for that very reason, but I love switching it up and exploring their menu! They are truly talented and professional in everything they do. Their values are mirrored by their everyday business and love they pour out to our community. read more

Absolutely adore everything about this place. The decor is what I dream of when I think my perfect kitchen, the menu for meals is minimal, but it is simple and each dish perfect. On Fridays they add burgers to the menu, so I had one of those. The dessert cases feel provincial and options were abundant. I limited myself to macarons and some lemonade for the perfect summertime dessert. Considering I have a bit of a drive ahead, I will probably get a latte to go as well. I sat outside because the weather is perfect, and almost fully enjoyed the hippy drum circle across the street, but it went on for a little too long and the rhythm interrupted the luxury of a peaceful evening. But once it stopped, it was perfect. I'll be back. read more

Awesome Service and Wonderful Food. I called at lunchtime and ordered and experienced easy 'takeout service' at a side door, up the ramp. Very short wait and others practiced 'social distancing.' I ordered the Blue Fig Steak on Ciabatta Roll. It was perfect and packaged beautifully so I could walk home easily with a nice 'carry bag w/handle'. A small salad accompanied the sandwich meal and it was excellent with organic veggies and mixed greens. I also ordered scrumptious orange rolls to share with family for this birthday weekend. A very nice server/takeout person greeted me and my little dog at the takeout door. Every experience I've had here has been excellent. Very delicious food and high quality. So glad they are close by for getting great morning coffee also! read more

I'd go higher in stars but for one thing. One. The line to order and pay. Heaven forbid you come here during one of their busy times (the time when MOST people like me are able to come). Being the 6th person in line today cost me right at 15 mins. Really?? For a place that does such good business because of the quality of food and service, not to mention atmosphere, this is an issue. People only get so much time to go eat when they're working. Maybe one order station and one pay station? Order by individual ipad and pay by ipad? Who knows? But there are a myriad of possibilities. Still standing in line and waiting. read more

This place is truly a gem of Asheboro. I've frequented The Table a few times but only for a quick coffee when passing through for work. They make a fantastic cinnamon and honey iced coffee. I finally got to try out the food today for breakfast, I went with "The Classic" sandwich with bacon on sourdough and I added pimento cheese to it (solid choice). I wasn't overwhelmed by it, considering the price, but it was a delicious sandwich nevertheless. I look forward to trying some other menu items as well as some of the scrumptious looking pastry and baked items that they have on display at the main counter. I love the feel and ambience here, very Chip and Joanna Gainsey in design and decor. All this to say that The Table was a prime addition to the Asheboro community and I hope that it continues to thrive. read more

I stumbled across this place while looking for somewhere to get avocado toast. We got there around 10am and I wanted lunch but my girlfriend wanted breakfast, she got the avocado toast and I got a chocolate chip cookie while waiting and we got the table fries, grilled cheese and tomato bisque. I have to say I was shocked. I also got a London fog latte. Everything was amazing. The soup was very flavorful, perfectly spiced. The table fries were amazing especially dipped in the aioli. Asheboro is so lucky to have this place! I stumbled upon it during my last visit and fell in love. The food is fresh and you can tell it has been carefully crafted with different layers of flavor. The beverages are outstanding with their homemade syrups that you cannot mimic elsewhere. My favorite drink there is the earl grey latte, it is so good! In addition to the great food and drinks, you get a lovely space with very friendly staff! I plan to always stop by when I visit Asheboro. read more

Wonderful restaurant that a friend introduced me to. I have had excellent food every time I've gone.

Always delicious. I especially enjoy the outdoor seating under the new canopy. The chocolate pie is a favorite of my daughter's.

We live about an hour away and were looking for a little diversion and an awesome late breakfast/early lunch. It was amazing! First, we were greeted outside by a wonderful hostess who gave us the "lay of the land". We ordered and enjoyed our seat at the coffee bar. It was a busy Saturday and just too chilly to sit outside. We both ate everything on our plates. I even ate the rind on the orange! Not because we were food deprived, but because it was too delicious to leave even a crumb! The veggie omelette was the very best I have ever tasted. My husband loved his omelette and raved about the grits. No offense, but who raves about grits!! We both had a nice coffee and yes, we thought they were way beyond normal "nice" coffees! Everyone was so friendly, the food was so fresh and the ambiance is delightful. Can't wait to go back and bring friends!! read more

I was here recently with my wife and another couple for breakfast. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It's a small but very well decorated and super clean place. We made our order at the counter and then found a table. We only waited maybe 8-10 minutes for our food which I thought was fast for the amount of customers they had at the time. Everything was perfect to order. The food: WOW!!! My very sincere compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. The layers of flavor were truly amazing. Lots of places the flavors all blend into one big flavor and it's hard to distinguish what your eating, but NOT HERE. You could taste everything individually but it all joined and complimented each other with out morphing into something different. I can't say enough nice things about our experience here. I wish we lived closer but even though it's about a 3 hour drive, we plan to get back asap!! The freshness and selection are well worth it. Kudos to the entire staff!!! read more
