One of my favorite cocktail bars in Miami! I was there with a group of friends the day after Christmas and Hugo couldn't have been nicer. The cocktails were delicious, the ambience is always really fun, and the bartenders were beyond friendly and knowledgeable. Had a great time and really enjoy in the happy hour priced. Highly recommend!

Would never guess how cute this place is by looking at it from the outside. When you walk in you're transported into a cool retro living room with a lot of little areas to lounge and a long bar. I came with a group of friends and we posted up at the bar. I was first to arrive and by myself and the girl who sat next to me told right away that she loved this bar and it was her fave. So already off to a great start before I even ordered anything. The bartender that greeted me was really nice and went ahead and let me know they were on happy hour and showed me the menu of cocktails. They had a good selection too on the HH menu. She also showed the special themed menu they had for 4th of July which included An open bar from 6-8, in honor of 4th of July. The names of the cocktails are all very Miami and funny. I had the Merge or Die which was like drinking summer in a glass. I really liked it. Our next bartender Robert was awesome and did a great job mixing the open bar drinks for us, if you're looking for great service he's the guy for sure. While we were there the DJ started up and he had great mix of 90s RNB, reggaeton, and classic bops. All in all, this is a great choice to enjoy some quality cocktails and a good vibe.

This bar is a Miami must great cocktails, service is quick and friendly

We've been to this bar more times than I can count, and honestly, it's kind of a hit or miss. Some nights, it has been exactly what we were looking for. Others, we've walked in and thought, "Wait... what's going on?" At its best, this place strikes a great balance. The vibe is just right when the crowd is mid-sized, not packed wall to wall, but not awkwardly empty either. The energy feels natural, the drinks are on point (and well-priced for the quality), and the music leans into some solid EDM without trying too hard. I especially love when the DJ keeps the volume at a level where you can still talk, chill, and enjoy the moment without feeling like your ears are under attack. The mix of dance space and comfy seating (couches and big sofa chairs) makes it easy to shift between dancing and just relaxing with your drink. But, like I said, not every night hits. We've shown up to an almost-empty room where the temperature felt like a walk-in freezer. One night the music was all over the place; hip hop, reggaeton, random radio-style house. And it completely killed the vibe. The crowd was much younger that night and the whole place felt chaotic in a way that did not match what we usually come for. Honestly, if I could, I would give this place both a one star and a five star because it somehow manages to earn both depending on the night. Still, when it lands, it really delivers, and we keep going back hoping for one of the good ones.

Such a vibe, love the decor. We went on a Wednesday so it was very chill and lowkey and that's exactly what we were wanting. Highly recommend

Food? Not sure they have any. We only drink here. Service? Yes. We had a table and had table service and the team was very attentive. The bar gets busy after about 11, so you'll have to deal with a crowded bar, but they do their best. Ambiance? This is where they excel! We come back not for the $18 cocktails or crowds, but for the great dancing music and awesome deco. Sylvester has a very fun vibe. It's dark, but dimly lit with eclectic lamps. Fun stuff cover the walls. There's a pool table and pin ball machine. The couches are random but welcome. Overall great vibe and a place you must check out if in the area.

Sylvester is a great lounge to catch up with friends, warm, dimly lit, and full of character. The vibe strikes a perfect balance between classy and laid-back, with chandeliers, cozy seating, and a touch of retro charm. Will be back!

Recommend going early to avoid sometimes "off" crowds & happy hour ! (5-8pm) and also some nights they have Jazz, call to find out when. Their cocktails are delicious. But I think whats most notable is the music, 80/90/00s throwbacks. If in Midtown or Design District, its totally walkable. One odd thing was that as it neared 8/9pm they took our bar stools away to make room for more people even though it was barely crowded. Totally not necessary

One of the longest-standing spots in Miami nightlife. The venue was remodeled a few years back, and since then it has become a staple in the Wynwood and Midtown area. It has managed to keep its character while updating the space to feel more modern and intentional. There is a reason it continues to draw a crowd. The cocktails are consistently solid. They offer a good selection of craft drinks that are well made without being overly flashy. The bartenders know what they are doing, and the staff in general is friendly and keeps the energy easygoing. The music can vary depending on the night. Most of the time, you can expect a solid house set, which is always my preference, but some nights they mix in other styles. I have been there on nights with more of a radio mix, and others with a younger, high-energy crowd, but overall the music leans in the right direction. I have been coming here for years, and while every night has its own vibe, it is definitely a place worth checking out. Whether you are stopping in for a drink or looking for somewhere to stay and dance for a while, it is one of those spots that has earned its place in the scene.

Stopped in for a drink and the decor was cool. Pool table up front and a bar to the left. Nice cocktail menu but it is a bit pricey. There cocktails for $70. It was a little stuffy when we arrived and as we finished our drink it just about got as humid as it felt outside. The bartender was nice friendly and the presentation of the drinks were great.

Very chill cocktail bar that has a speakeasy vibe. The Suavemente cocktail was a bit too sweet. The service was quick and good.

You enter an immersive world that really outshines any tiki bar to which I've ever been. The magic radiates out of every nook and cranny. That was complimented by our bartender, Billy, knocking out some perfect killer classics, like a real Mai Tai, and Navy Grog, that, post the 1950s became kind of sugar filled, over-the-top mockeries of the Tiki cocktail arts. No mockery here. Just the old school magic. It's a very analog, and thankfully honest, unhipster revival for a generation who knows not of Bali Hai, Don the Beachcomber, the Mai Kai, and San Francisco's once-great, now seedy Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar, at the Fairmont Hotel, on Nob Hill. The crowd, including the regulars, were a lot of fun. In all, a really awesome evening! Five stars, for all of that, and a sixth for the memories.

I'm posting this as a first-ever visitor who was in town on vacation and interested in dinner and…read morethe show and booked via the website on my phone. In summary I highly recommend the experience but there are a few things that could be improved for first time guests. To start, the website wasn't clear that when making reservations and paying that the price is for the show only and that when attending the show every guest must at minimum purchase one entree. Not a problem, but clarifying this at booking would be helpful. Upon completing our reservation I did get an email confirmation but was not provided any details on how everything works. I booked the 8pm show but wasn't sure if we should get there for 8pm or get there earlier because the show started at 8pm. Unsure we decided to arrive just before 7pm and take advantage of the happy hour that ended at 7pm and grab a drink. Upon arrival we were greeted by valet. My husband planned to do valet parking so not an issue, but it was not clear if we had the option to park ourselves. After we left the car we just started walking to where we believed the entrance was. No direction was given by valet to point us in the right direction and no one was outside to let us know. The outside Bora Bora bar was bustling with happy hour folks, but knowing there was also a bar inside we opted to go in to get out of the heat. Upon walking in it was very dark, no hostess at the podium and we quickly realized we had walked into the middle of the 5pm show and quickly exited the building and went back to the outdoor bar. We ordered a drink and mentioned how we are attending the 8pm show and asked how everything typically works. This is where I got the lowdown. Plan to arrive at your scheduled time (in our case 8pm), that's when seating starts. Once seated you'll place your dinner order, with any drinks and appetizers you may want. The show will start roughly an hour and 15 mins after seating starts (9:15pm in our case) and the show runs about 45 mins., so we were done by 10pm. The show itself was amazing! It was educational as well as entertaining. Highly recommend! The food was okay, and in my opinion you're definitely going for the show, not the food. It was served hot but just wasn't anything special. Overall if you haven't been, I'd say it is definitely worth going and experiencing once. It also seems like a great happy hour option for locals.
