The Sydney is a rad bar in Benson, with an awesome "mom" bartender as she called herself taking care of everyone! They have a great beer selection, cheap shots (2 dollar Sake shots) and its a cool bar to hang in! I played a show there last night and Adam who did sound did a killer job, and they even had a screen for my projector so I didn't have to bring in my own! Bathrooms were good, little outdoor back patio for smokers, and after the concert stopped it went into Karaoke and you know we had to stay around for a song or two of that! All in all great bar, great staff, and a fun night!

Not a bad hangout. I like the Sydney, but my brain always has to re-adjust as I remember it when it used to be Mick's. The latter was a little more upscale, and the Sydney has some 'diviness' to it. I don't mean that in a bad way, having been there a few times, the drinks were decent and the staff friendly. Nothing pretentious here, show up, grab a drink and enjoy yourself!

Best bar I know and all of the bartenders kick ass. Also, drinks don't cost an arm and a leg. Lots of fun and character.

We headed here recently because it happened to be where packet pick up was for the 5K we were participating in the next day. I thought since we'd already be here we could also have a nice delicious dinner of Fish and Chips! I was a little surprised at the price of the meal but after it was served and we started chowing down, I understand!! Our server Chris was great, he answered any questions we had, refilled our waters in a timely manner, brought us more napkins, and even shared about the brown sauce that people in Britain put on everything. The meal itself comes with a large piece of lacey fried Icelandic cod with dipping sauces on the side. You get a mushy peas curry sauce, a yellowish curry sauce, and a tartar like sauce. It's not exactly those things but for the sake of this review and to help you visualize it those are my descriptions of these tasty sauces!! The fish is laid on a bead of crispy fries and honestly served like this it's the perfect proportion of fries to fish ratio. I like my fish and chips with a lot of malt vinegar and the bottle on the table comes in handy to add more when each bite needs a little more zing. I did try that brown sauce and it is certainly worth trying! It's got a flavor I'm unable to completely describe but it's worth having the experience!! I hadn't been in Dundee Dell for several years but when you walk in, it's definitely got that elegant library or lobby feel. Darker painted walls with gold accents throughout and some fun pieces of decor speckled throughout. I'm still a little confused about the giant giraffe but I'm all for it!! I will say, the craving had been successfully satisfied by the fish and chips here. So if you ever had that desire for delicious Fish and Chips head to Dundee and go here. Thank me later!

The service was friendly and attentive, and the staff made us feel right at home. The food was excellent, especially the fish and chips, which were perfectly cooked with a crispy, golden batter and flaky fish. Pair it with one of their beers or cocktails, and you've got a great meal. You can tell why this place has been an Omaha staple for so many years. A special thank you for the wonderful service. Great food, great drinks, and a comfortable atmosphere--we'll definitely be back!

This place is a spectacular little world of wonder and adventure. Over the course of my trip, I got to experience so many different sides of it. I attended an event on a Friday night, enjoyed specialty drinks, and watched a Shakespeare performance. I had so much fun! During the weekdays, I took a few meetings there while enjoying matcha and snacks. On another day, I simply came in to relax and unwind. What I loved most is that The Reading Room somehow manages to be a place for everyone. It's somewhere to meet new friends, get some work done, have a quiet moment alone, or come out and have fun at an event. Kids, adults, cocktail lovers, tea drinkers, readers, remote workers. There's a little something for everyone. And Sam, the owner, is absolutely fantastic. I was spoiled with great conversation, genuine hospitality, and impeccable service throughout my visits. I came to Omaha looking for somewhere to work and left feeling like I had discovered one of the city's hidden gems. I couldn't ask for a better place to spend my time.
