    Fallon's Home & Hearth - Unbelievable

Where do I begin, I would like to think my husband and I are pretty understanding and patient…read more However, our experience was less than most. First we went to show room, picked out our stove. We ordered a Red Vermont Casting Stardance. Mind you we paid $800 more for red. Not problem. We were given an install date in which we were simultaneously trying to coordinate propane install. Then our date change, no big deal. Then the install date changed again. It was now scheduled for Columbus day. Which I had my doubts. I purposely had my husband call the week prior to be sure they were still coming on a holiday day to install the stove. Oh yes they told us, we will be there. So we told propane guy it was a go. Welp Friday afternoon we get a call..... guess what? They aren't coming on Monday. We ONCE again tried to remain patient and we got yet another install date. Very deflating!. But wait, there's more..... they actually arrived on our 4th install date. Stove comes off the truck and its BLACK not RED!!! How disappointing!! So, at this point I want to tell this place to go screw. But, I was once again convinced that they would try to make it right and comp the Red. So another month later, after red was rushed and we were told we were a priority they finally showed up with a Red stove to install. Please take your time, look at the pictures of my ceiling! I want you to get a good look at what $7,000 dollars gets you with an install. I dont want these people anywhere near my house again. We had a horrible experience.

Cody was helpful in a no-pressure way. He came out to my house to build the quote and was professional and had great recommendations. The install crew (apologies, I forgot names) was absolutely fantastic. Polite, professional, and did an excellent job with the install. Thanks!

Coastal Mechanical's front office tried to bully a Disabled Veteran and his wife, over a phone call…read moreto his OFFICE after hours. If you are a veteran, I would avoid this business. I was working on trying to repair my residential furnace, and decided to call Coastal Mechanical for assistance. I called the office number after my efforts at 3 AM wanting to leave a message to the staff to try and get on the schedule. Coastal does NOT assert on any web page or Google result that the office number is forwarded to the owner after hours. The owner was furious that he was called in the middle of the night for a routine schedule, and he let me know how upset he was on our first call. I very kindly apologized and let him know there was no notification of only calling the office after hours for emergencies. Coastal Mechanical then very expertly replaced my 15 year old furnace in our residential home in Epping NH. The technicians did an outstanding job, and the product is excellent. The cost of the work is slightly higher than competitors, but the result in the home is worth the expense. Post installation, the front office tried to bully my wife and me into cancelling our speaking engagement in Indiana for Veterans Day. The front office bullying to a disabled veteran was both unexpected and unacceptable. Coastal Mechanical did not explain the need for a building inspection or fire inspection from the good people from the Town of Epping and, without any coordination or explanation, they scheduled both the building inspector and fire inspector to come to into our home during our trip and called to tell us when they would be in our home ... not ask, TELL US. FRONT OFFICE: "The fire and building inspectors will be in your home [on this day]." MY WIFE: "I'm sorry, what is this for? That isn't going to work; we're going to be traveling." FRONT OFFICE: "Well, can't you leave your garage door open or the door unlocked?" MY WIFE: "No, we're not here; we can't do that. What is this for, again?" ME: "How does this work? You guys never told us anything about an inspection or even asked us about the dates that would work. We won't be here!" [FRONT OFFICE GIVES THE PHONE TO RICK] RICK (raising his voice and being aggressive): "LOOK, YOU DON"T KNOW HOW THIS WORKS! THESE PEOPLE ARE VERY BUSY!" (wanting me to cancel our plans to accommodate his appointments with the city) ME: "Hey, don't raise your voice to me! This is not okay to just schedule without any explanation or coordination with the homeowner." RICK (now yelling): "I'M NOT RAISING MY VOICE; IT'S NOT OKAY TO GIVE MY WIFE A HARD TIME! WHAT DAYS ARE YOU AVAILABLE?" ME: "This is not okay; this is rude to schedule without asking." RICK (now livid): "RUDE? LOOK, BUDDY, YOU CALLED MY HOUSE AT 3 AM!" (Not true; I called his office number at 3 AM. There was no indication or notice that the call would be forwarded to his house; I thought it would go to an answering machine or voicemail.) I then lit into him for trying to bully my wife, bully me, and being unprofessional. This type of bullying is not acceptable. I feel very sorry for the hard-working men and women in his employment. They must get bullied often if this type of exchange is normal. Reid Reasor, Lt. Col. (Ret.) USAF Disabled Veteran

Coastal Mechanical installed a mini split heat pump system with an air handler in my house addition…read morelast year. It never worked as well as it should have. The day they installed the system and did a pressure test it looked like it had a small leak. I mentioned that to the installer and he said don't ask any questions. They came out several times trying to get it to perform but were unsuccessful. Then a few months ago I was told that the warranty had expired and I should call someone else to get it fixed. I had to use window ac units and space heaters to supplement the system. It kept getting worse each day until now it barely works at all and sometimes turns off with an error code. I'm not trying to use it anymore. I had to buy an infrared fireplace for the bedroom. So far, I can keep the bedroom around 70 degrees but the rest of the house was in the mid 40's this morning. The temperature outside was in the mid-30s. I tried to get someone else to come out and fix it but they do not want to touch a system not installed by them. I am in the process of getting quotes to replace the entire system. I paid a lot for a system that never worked right and Coastal Mechanical is not interested in making it right.
