Where do I begin, I would like to think my husband and I are pretty understanding and patient. However, our experience was less than most. First we went to show room, picked out our stove. We ordered a Red Vermont Casting Stardance. Mind you we paid $800 more for red. Not problem. We were given an install date in which we were simultaneously trying to coordinate propane install. Then our date change, no big deal. Then the install date changed again. It was now scheduled for Columbus day. Which I had my doubts. I purposely had my husband call the week prior to be sure they were still coming on a holiday day to install the stove. Oh yes they told us, we will be there. So we told propane guy it was a go. Welp Friday afternoon we get a call..... guess what? They aren't coming on Monday. We ONCE again tried to remain patient and we got yet another install date. Very deflating!. But wait, there's more..... they actually arrived on our 4th install date. Stove comes off the truck and its BLACK not RED!!! How disappointing!! So, at this point I want to tell this place to go screw. But, I was once again convinced that they would try to make it right and comp the Red. So another month later, after red was rushed and we were told we were a priority they finally showed up with a Red stove to install. Please take your time, look at the pictures of my ceiling! I want you to get a good look at what $7,000 dollars gets you with an install. I dont want these people anywhere near my house again. We had a horrible experience. ​​ read more

I have been trying to get a service person for 2 weeks now. No return calls even when I went there in person.

I've used Fallon's in the past for my wood pellets, and it's always been kind of middle of the road. Delivery guys are usually good, but the communication between purchase and delivery is not great. Knowing that, I was doing my best to be patient, but when I hadn't heard ANYTHING for three weeks, I verified my purchase (which was web only for purchasing pellets, something that gave me cause for alarm off the bat), then called to check up on the order. I was forwarded to a voice mailbox, ID'd by only the number. I left a message. Eight days later, I called again and did the same thing. Today (now six weeks from date of purchase), I drove to Fallon's only to be told they have nothing to do with the delivery end, that it's being handled by North Atlantic Fuels. There was also a sob story about how the guy who had taken over their deliveries died unexpectedly. Sad story. Not my problem. *I* did not contract with North Atlantic Fuels, Fallon's did. I paid Fallon $2000+ for four tons of wood pellets, the whereabouts of which I cannot get any answers. The guy at Fallon's offered to have Mrs. Fallon call me. Good idea. I have questions -- like how is any of this my problem? Like since the guy passed in August, maybe you should have been transparent about the delivery issues with your customers. Do NOT do business with this company. In general, customer service in this area is woeful, but to take $2000 of my money for a purchase and then say with a shrug that you have nothing to do with deliveries is not acceptable. Worst customer service and doesn't make you a priority in an emergency situation and mis diagnosed our pellet stove issue

I had to replace my brick fireplace and looked at every business in general seacoast area for a replacement. After visiting all of them there was no doubt I was going to purchase a gas fireplace from Home and Hearth. They were helpful, professional and the fireplace (installed now for a couple of years) has been amazing!! I love it so much. I cannot recommend highly enough. Home & Hearth is awesome! read more

Always fair and honest to deal with. good business people. we are still using a pellet Stove we bought here over five years ago. Not a Harmon, a bit less expensive brand. My husband services our pellet stove for the most part. We get the dump of 2 tons of pellets in the fall and stay warm all winter except for days that the stove gets clogged up. My husband will then take things apart and clean out. he is better with mechanics than me and most folks but says it is a simple machine. Overall always a pleasant experience dealing with Home and Hearth. read more

I have purchased 2 Harman Accentra inserts from Fallon's, the first in 2009 and in 2023. My experience both times was excellent. The owner and his staff are very knowledgeable about the stove which was helpful to me as I installed it myself. I am updating my review based upon a very quick response from the owner, Harry Fallon. The root cause of the delay in service calls is due to owners calling for cleaning services as soon as weather gets cold. This takes them out of the loop for repairs. Harry informed me that effective next season, they will no longer perform cleaning services during the heating months. This will free up service techs for actual repairs which are far more critical than a mere cleaning. Harry was able to repair my stove and it is now working perfectly once again. I appreciate their quick and solid response to my complaint. read more

Our first meeting with the staff of Home & Hearth was more than 14 years ago at the Deerfield Fair. They had a "burn trailer" with Harman pellet stoves. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and did not pressure us to make a sale. A year later, when we remodeled a bonus room, we decided to go with the Harman pellet stove for our heat source. When we went to the store, almost a full year later, they remembered us from the fair and honored the deal (1 ton of pellets free) for buying the stove from them. The stove arrived quickly and was installed with no problems at all. The stove has been incredibly reliable over the years. We had only 1 instance where the stove needed service from Home & Hearth under warranty. They quickly repaired the stove. We recently had a motor go out on the stove. They gave excellent advice on the best method to remove the old motor and ensured we had everything we needed to complete the repair and did not try to sell us anything we didn't need. I love my stove again. We highly recommend that anyone looking for a pellet stove or wood stove, go visit Home & Hearth. Their service is excellent. The people on the sales floor are extremely knowledgable in regards to stoves, fuel, and pool/spas. I went in looking to buy a new Pellet Stove (Harmon P61). I spoke with John the service Tech who was great. He told me to send him pictures of my current set up and that someone would get back to me with recommendations for the installation of a new P61. Several days later I got a scripted/canned Email from Harry Fallon telling me what they sell. I replied to his email asking for a recommendation based on my photos and never heard from them again! Poor service/communications. I Bought my new P61 from the Stove Shoppe in Windham NH who provided immediate pickup and excellent and knowledgeable service. May sound petty but they lost me as a customer. read more

These guys are great here. They offered competitive prices, nothing blew me out of the water of a ton of pellets as far as something being too much or too little. However, the customer service skills were beyond what I expected. We had rented a box truck to move 3 tons of pellets, after loading two they could not push the pallets forward. At that point I was about to start unloading a pallet in order to get them inside. The first fork operator instead of saying there's nothing more he could do went and got the senior fork operator who spend a good 20 minutes changing things around and got it in. Couldn't appreciate these guys enough. Highly recommended. read more

I couldn't have had any worse of an experience with them. I want to warn everyone to stay away from this company. From day one they had no clue what they were doing. First they couldn't pull a permit like they said they would to install the stove, you would think a company who does this for a living would know how to do this. They sent me paperwork and left me to go to the town to do it. They had to reschedule multiple times to do the install since the "site" they said wasnt ready. Here is an idea, go out and check before you install it and tell us what we need to do. Don't show up the day of the install and say nope not doing it and leave. Then they finally showed up today to install, and trashed my house. I have a nice house, they didn't take off their shoes or clean up after themselves, they simply came storming in and tracked snow and mud all through my house and carpet and left it for me to cleanup. Here is the kicker, once it was all installed, they had me a bill 600 dollars higher than what i expected. I said to the installers, this cant be right, here is my receipt, shows the stove and install and everything. He said it doesn't include any of the piping to actually get the stove to work. The piping ended up being 20% of the cost of the stove and i really believe it was mostly made up. It was an outtake with about 4 feet of pipe. Not a word was ever mentioned to me about any extra charges or materials that were going to be needed to install the stove. Just another way this place works you over. BUYER BEWARE. I called the manager, he told me nothing i can do, its how it is. His name is Bob, i would categorize him as overly useless. If you go and buy a stove here, you deserve the bad service you will get. read more

I am reviewing this business based on the experience I've had with the Pool end of things. Yes, Home and Hearth also sells pool chemicals, supplies and services inground pools. We had our old pool remodled with an associate of this business. we had a great experience with Andre. My pool looks fantastic. We dealt with another employee to get the pool up and running. this was a disaster as he is completly unreliable. 2 months later... we are still dealing with little things with him. As for the service side, when ever i go in and ask questions because i know nothing about the chemical balance in my pool, they check my water for me, and advise me on what i should do. the staff- sons of the owner i think, are knowledgable and friendly. they helped me out when i was so frustrated with the chemical levels in my new pool. water testing was free and prices seem reasonable for the chemicals. i picked a 3 star rating because of the issues we have had with the guy getting the pool up and running. i will return often to have my water checked and to purchase chemicals. read more
