I had the pleasure of having Silas and Ivan from I-Van-Go contracting work on my home over the past…read moreweek and I don't have enough good things to say about them. I recently moved into a home with a leaky skylight and ultimately needed an entire new roof (just what you want to hear when you move into a new home, right?). I know that Silas and Ivan had installed siding and all new windows into this same home around 8 years ago and did a fantastic job, so obviously it was a smart decision to hire them again to fix up the roof and skylight. Ivan was quick to respond to the first inquiry, and Silas came out to look at the roof and skylight pretty much the next day. I was so relieved that they were able to fit us into their busy summer schedule so quickly when I noticed that rain was coming through my ceiling onto my brand new furniture (!!!). They took the time to go through exactly what needed to be done to fix the leaky situation and were able to provide a very reasonable estimate. Knowing nothing about general home repairs, it was so great to have their input and expertise to make things less stressful overall. Once we moved forward, they came to get all the necessary measurements and got all of the supplies right away; everything happened so fast, it was great! They showed up on time every day and the whole job was done in 3 days; I have to give them even more props since I understand that the whole roof was pretty much disintegrated. A representative from the company that manufactures the sky light that was installed came out to the house after Silas and Ivan had installed it and definitely made a point to say that their installation was completely flawless. I know the installation was no easy task for them since they ran into a swarm of ants and mold while removing the original skylight (I felt pretty terrible about that) but they definitely took the time to fix the problems instead of just taking short cuts and masking the problems with some degree of humor, which I appreciated. There is absolutely no question that they have strong attention to detail. I am now happy to say that I have an amazing, functional skylight and beautifully shingled (and dry!) roof, and I owe all my thanks to Silas and Ivan. The whole exchange was great; they are very professional and clearly know their stuff. In addition to being "good at what they do" for lack of better phrasing, it's very obvious that they actually take pride in going above and beyond to do things the right way (the first time), which in my opinion is invaluable. I mean, if you're going trust people to make improvements to your home (probably the biggest financial investment anyone can really ever make, yes?) then I think it's important to find the right people who actually want to do and CAN do an exceptional job. That's pretty much I-Van-Go in a nut shell. As an added bonus to this, they really are just overall nice, down to earth guys and it was great having them around. I would recommend them to anyone for any household contracting needs, and I can say without a doubt that I will not call on anyone but I-Van-Go for any of my future contracting needs (of which I have no doubt that there will be many!)
