The best thing about Waking Universe is Cristina Mercado. I have been using/working with Cristina for some time (tarot readings, mediation, spiritual balancing, etc.) and always appreciate how much energy and focus she puts into a reading, not just with tarot cards, but by using spirit guides as well. Whenever I feel like I need some directions or clarification with something in life, I come to see Cristina and leave feeling restored. On the 16th of this month, after I had Taco Bell, I have noticed this quaint, lovely, somewhat gothic, clean place and wanted to go in and see if they could be some sort of help to me. I have been feeling uncomfortable for the past year and a half. Wanted to know if someone has done a spell on me or not; and if they could remove the spell? Sure enough when it was my turn to sit on that chair, the young lady, (can't remember her name), said yes, 2 of your family members has done a spell on you, but was not able to tell me who they were. Not even their gender. I was shocked and got choked up. She relaxed me by giving me cup of water. This is a very unique store/shop with a lot of things to offer: jewelry, Tarot cards, scented and non scented candles, herbs of different kinds, incense blends, charm begs, essential oils, different colors, sizes and types of beautiful crystal rocks/balls. I was blown away by the selection of all of their items. Everything had it's own valuable price and looked clean, nice and new. They have street parking, woman owned, and didn't see a bathroom. I was also told that I should come at least 3 to 5 more times so they can work on me. I will definitely take action and go back.They accept most credit cards and cash. I love walking those few blocks. Parking is easy usually. But the day I went I walked in and wasn't greeted once. I was going to ask for help, but in the 20-30 minutes I was in there, the person behind the counter was chatting with a friend about various things the whole time. I wandered the whole place and didn't get acknowledged at all. Even when the friend left. It was odd, especially in a place like that. Every other spiritual and witchy place in the area I'm always helped out. I ended up getting a couple crystals. I wanted to get more by the vibe just wasn't it. They had a ton of stuff to choose from. Wide array of all things - crystals, books, cards, candles, spell magic, etc. I also got a mojo bag. But I unfortunately don't think I'll be going back.

I usually spend about 15 minutes to an hour in their store. I never feel rushed or unwelcomed. I love coming here because I'm very tactile and feel like it's very important to see the cards (colors, art detail) and feel the cardstock, see if I connect with a deck, how the cards shuffle in-person. It's not possible to get all those details from shopping or watching a flip-through online. Almost every deck they sell has a demo deck on display. It's nice that sometimes they have both free and paid talks/events here. This is actually one of my favorite metaphysical stores I've ever been to. Some stores are too cluttered/dirty/cramped or do not have enough card selection, but TarotArts is very clean and organized, doesn't all kind of odds & ends that other stores tend to have. They have a little of everything without being excessive. Today I learned they have another small area in the back of the store with more shelves. I noticed that their website is not updated, so it might say out of stock online but it's been restocked on the shelf in the store so if something is showing out of stock, it's best to call and check. They carry mostly mass market/big publisher decks, but also have some lesser known/independent decks too. Wish they carried more indie decks in the future. Very nice store to shop for yourself or for gifts. Also really great location because there are cute shops and eateries nearby. Street parking is also free and easy to find.

After looking through the entire store, I decided to purchase a figurine, a book, and a small informational chart on Chackras. Contrary to a previous review, I found the owner to be very attentive to the customers, asking several times if I needed assistance with anything. During check-out, the owner asked if I knew anything about the figurine I was purchasing. I really did not know, and the owner told me about the figurine which was a Green Tara figurine, and gave me some literature to read about it. I was also interested in the Singing Bowls, as I had decided to purchase a book on Singing Bowls that was for sale in the shop. The owner also told me a little about the Singing Bowls and what they are generally used for. At no time, did the owner try to force me to buy anything. Overall, I give this place 5 stars, because of the great items in the stores, very pleasant environment/music, and great customer service. I will definitely be back.

They offer an incredible selection of high-quality crystals -- everything from small, affordable pieces to stunning, museum-quality specimens. While chatting with them, they kindly invited me into their warehouse, where I got to see even more amazing options. It's not often that you get to see crystals on this scale at regular shops, and one of the best things about this company is that they offer great quality pieces at almost wholesale prices. I spoke with the owner, Mr. Kai, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He patiently answered all my questions about the crystals -- their quality, grading, and pricing -- no matter how many times I asked. Kai clearly has deep knowledge and passion, and he happily explained what makes each stone valuable and unique. The entire staff is also very friendly, and I really appreciated how family-friendly the atmosphere was -- kids are definitely welcome here, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The warehouse behind the booth is full of beautiful crystals that haven't even been displayed yet, and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of them in the future. I also follow their Instagram, where they often sell new crystals through live sales. Things sell out quickly there, so being able to take my time today and choose stones while hearing about each one was such a treat. Today, I found a beautiful fluorite that they kindly gave me a discount on -- such a great deal! Pinoko is so kind, generous and caring. Most times, I don't need to say anything before she intuits the things that are stressing me out or worrying me. Based on that initial assessment, she will decide on the type of reiki healing session, and I ALWAYS walk out feeling better and more hopeful than before. She is the most gifted reiki healer I know and I cannot recommend her enough. She is typically available on Wednesday, but I've contacted her through her social media to make alternative arrangements (since I work on weekdays). Indigo Collective is a nice space with a good stock of crystals, books, decks, jewelry, incense and other metaphysical goods. They have a good psychic fair once a month and a variety of weekly classes. I've gone to the fair a few times, which is where I met Pinoko. The employees are very responsive and thoughtful especially when I am booking my appointments. They have PLENTY of parking in their lot.
