Review #1085~(Inland Empire, CA.)~ Was in the mood for either fragrance or more gems for collecting so I Yelped my way here to 'Earth Roots,' Montclair, CA. I read up all the former reviews that this mystic shop holds up its 5-star ratings. I can see how. As I entered the store, the store clerk greeted me without haste. I then continued taking my time to browse crystals and gems. I found out they sold positive words of encouragement for collecting those pretty gems, so i went for a stack of 7 piece of positive word gems. Service: 5/5~Efficient, inviting and super friendly. I'll be back if i need more candles or something in the future. For now, i'm satisfied with this newfound stack of word gems. Ambiance: 5/5~the clerk turned on relaxing music for customers to enjoy while shopping. Thought that was clever and enticing. Also, the entire store was very neatly organized making it easy to find something you need or don't need. Parking: free plaza parking available. i'll be back again soon. read more

Absolutely love coming here. The customer service is great and they're always helpful. They have a really beautiful and affordable selection of crystals, candles, sage, and more. I recently purchased a few sage bundles and I love how beautiful they are (many have dried fruit or flowers tied into the sage bundle). I also purchased cleaning water for my home, and some crystals. The energy in the shop is so soft and it's really beautiful too. Great place to shop spiritual items locally! read more

I wasn't able to get in last time I swung by (10am on a weekday) but I was able to get in late afternoon on a Saturday. Friendly employee at the front and lovely crystal selection for my spiritual needs. Highly recommend, I was able to get what I needed without breaking the bank! read more

Although most of their stock has legitimate crystals, there are a few that are not. For some odd reason they sell heat treated crystals and slap a ridiculously high price on them. For all crystal shoppers out there please be mindful! read more

I've been to this shop twice, once with a friend the other time with my cousin. The energy of the cashier (like a previous reviewer mentioned) was dismissive and I swear she was frowning/scowling because I was there when I had went with my friend the 1st time - a shorter white girl, blonde I think. Not sure if she just has RBF or what. but I didn't like her vibe, she wasn't very welcoming. The black cashier who actually helped me check out was nicer. I liked the crystals I got but they are pricier than other shops I visited. The shop itself is pretty small but nicely decorated. They had different candles (the tall glass encased ones) and single candles if you're looking for those. I remember the single candles being pricy. read more

Super peaceful & tranquil atmosphere. Wonderful, friendly, inviting customer service. All of our questions about items answered. We were also doubly delighted that this place sold books. They also had a small sitting and reading area (which was sanitized and cleaned) if you wanted to take a gander at the books. Lots of candles (at the cheapest price that we saw that day), different crystals, incense, soaps, oils, powders, etc. They also had a lot of neat handmade items too (dream catchers, bags, etc). This store had the most spiritual botanica goods of all the metaphysical stores that I have been to, not just in this area. Based on their website they have lots of neat herbs to sell too, but when we went in person, the shelf was sparse. Looking forward to seeing it when they're fully stocked. I'm not a fan of crystals but I was completely changed when I walked in here. There is so many variety of incense crystals jewelries accessories decorations outfits books. You name it they got it. You enter with an open mind and take in all the energy and calming vibe. Hymns nature sounds will be playing And you will not be rushed or Upsold on anything. For those who need to rest if there is a sitting area with adult and children chairs. It feels like everything is very organized and situated for focused type items. Prices are very reasonable. Depending on the type a crystal you would like the cost is labeled on the item in a small written sticker. Definitely will be back!!!! read more

I have purchased many many crystals and oracle decks from this business in the past. I drove an hour in traffic for a birthday gift (I already knew the exact Crystal sculpture I was going to purchase so I would have been in the shop 3 minutes tops if even that). I arrived 30 min before their posted closing time so I gave them a call to share this situation with them as I saw there were still occupants inside. They answered and said they were closed and did not assist. I will no longer be returning, spending my money here or referring this location any loner. Stopped by to get some quarantine gifts to send to friends to help with dealing with the current social climate (I was looking for sage). Earth Roots is a small shop, right off the 10 freeway, next to Costco and right at the entrance of the shopping center. The shop is clean, organized and the minute I walked in I felt a zen vibe immediately. It wasn't weird and I encountered 2 very nice employees that let me and other shoppers now they're available if we need their help. I was actually looking up the meaning of one of the crystals when an employee approached me and said the wall in front of me has all of the crystals they sell and explanations on their healing properties. Aside from sage and crystals they sell all types of incense, various powders (itching, money, love), some religious items, palo santo wood, etc. Highly recommend if you need some extra help during this time. read more

Recently this past weekend, I had a very upsetting and uncomfortable experience at this store. I was in the parking lot minding my own business when one of the store members tapped on my car. At first, I was told that I couldn't return to the store anymore and it shocked me. When I asked why, she said a customer had accused me of taking something without paying. I tried to explain that I did no such thing and I was more than willing to have them review video evidence. I also requested to speak to the supervisor regarding this misunderstanding. The staff informed me that the supervisor was not on site at the time and that it would take hours to review the footage. After initially insisting that I may have done something wrong, the store eventually backtracked and told me that I could return after all. However, it still did not sit well with me that I was accused of theft without proof and I took it very seriously. Update: When I followed up with them the next day, I asked to speak with the business owner through phone. I was told by the owner that after reviewing the video footage, they didn't find any evidence of me taking anything (as I already tried to explain to them). The owner apologized and same worker from the day before also said sorry for acting rashly. While I do appreciate the apology, I should not have been put in this position in the first place. Yes I know the workers were acting in response to what the customer said, but there were still better ways to handle this. I should not have been followed to my car. I should not have been told initially that I was banned, especially when there was no concrete evidence of me doing anything wrong. Besides only one customer's claim, none of the store members themselves have actually witnessed me take anything without paying. During the incident, the store staff mentioned several times that they had other people steal from the store before. It doesn't change the fact that I was not one of those shoplifters, nor does it excuse that I was still treated this way before any evidence was confirmed. Giving this place 1.5 stars is more than fair after everything that happened. Originally I was going to leave a lower rating on the day of the incident if the store staff did not apologize. Hopefully they can learn from this to improve. In the future, please have the staff trained to handle situations like this more professionally and respectfully. It's not worth putting someone through emotional distress and humiliation by accusing them of a crime they didn't commit. I used to be a regular customer who frequently bought things from Earth Roots, so this incident was deeply hurtful to experience. Also to the customer who falsely accused me, I have never shoplifted from this store and I'm not sure why you felt compelled to say this about someone you don't even know. You may not have realized it since you quickly left after accusing me, but all this unnecessary trouble was not worth it. You never even apologized for the stress you put another customer through. Take responsibility for your actions and don't do this to other people again. read more

The vibe of the shop is great - it's a cute store with a zen atmosphere. The vibe of the staff? Not so great. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say they're still learning how to navigate customer service. This shop has a pretty good selection of crystals and altar items. The one downside is they don't really have info about their products, and the employees don't help with that. It's a little on the pricey side compared to other shops I've been to. My happy place! I absolutely love this store. The customer service is always so kind and superb. I love that they are always open to answering any questions you may have about crystals, candles, etc. Each time I walk in the energy is so calming. In the past I've visited other spiritual stores and have felt quite intimidated, however at Earth Roots I feel as though I could spend hours looking around, learning about different crystals and rituals. I've even slowly started to build my alter! They have everything you could possibly need for your spiritual needs. The store is a little small but they have a rather large selection of items. Beautiful jewelry too! I've noticed the pricing on their items is so much more reasonable than other shops like this in the area as well. Very inviting aura to this store. I was pleasantly greeted by the employee and asked if she could help me find something in particular. She was also very helpful and knowledgeable when I asked about various items. They have a wall full of crystal names and their purposes next to the crystal section. I found that to be extremely helpful in choosing crystals. Their selection of protective jewelry is large and very pretty. I bought two red bracelets with the eye charm for my kids. They also have various smudging products, palo santo, Yerba Santa, sage, etc. I found their prices to be reasonable but with such a great selection of items and products, you'll easily do some damage in this amazing store. Earth Roots is a cute store which offers a good selection for spiritual needs and the alike. I've been here a few times and every time the crystal/stone options continue to grow. There's loose leaf teas, sage, Palo Santo, intention candles, books and more. The only lady I ever see is helpful and friendly. The only bad thing I have to say about this store is it's never open on time. Once I came by and it was closed. Yet I arrived 15 mins after their business was to be open. I waited 15 mins just to see if they were running late, but nothing. I called to see if they will open and someone answered saying they will be there in an hour and a half! The next time I came, I honestly arrived 30 mins after their stated opening time. Again, closed. I waited and finally someone came. Officially an hour past opening.
