    The lounge

I was able to stay at the beautiful St Regis last week and I had the best experience. Service was perfect. They do a morning and evening service so coming back to the room at the end of the day was lovely. I went to the lounge for coffee and a light breakfast in the mornings and it was peaceful and perfect. They serve a larger menu upstairs and there is a gorgeous bar area there as well. The room is a little larger than others, which is why I chose this hotel. The room was very clean and tastefully decorated. I could hear a little hall noise but nothing from other rooms. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were perfect. The rooms have the option to have morning, evening and night lighting which creates a nice mood. I can't wait to go back to Toronto to stay here again.

I used an annual free night award to book one night at the St. Regis. It was a short stay - arrived at 9pm and checked out at 2pm the next day. I stayed in a basic room with 2 full sized beds with my wife and 2 kids. Check-in was quick and friendly. The lobby itself was small but upscale, decorated with orchids and adjacent to a classy Art Deco style lounge with lots of polished bronze and fluted glass. Even the basic room was spacious, with a large heated marble floor bathroom, a minibar area with a separate sink and the main bedroom. The view from the windows was lacking though, but not surprising due to the location of the hotel in the heart of financial district. The location is not quite as kid-friendly (infants) as other hotels, (ie. Ritz Carlton or Park Hyatt). My 1.5 year old wouldn't go back to sleep once we arrived at the hotel, so I desperately tried to stroll her around to fall back asleep. Unfortunately there weren't any parks around and she was overstimulated in the heart of financial district. They do have a very nice pool area on the 32nd floor. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take a dip, but seems like one of the better hotel pools in Toronto. Their restaurant Louix Louis also seems nice, but again I didn't get a chance to visit. Overall a good location for people who want to be close to the Financial District / Eaton Centre. It wasn't as convenient for us with small kids and we preferred the Ritz Carlton location that was closer to the Aquarium and CN tower. I also wasn't in love with the decor, it was a little dark and stuffy to me. However, service was good as expected.

Hoho posh posh fancy fancy. Got the luxury of trying their afternoon tea experience. Quite easy check in with reservation and process. The lighting by the window is nice, the only thing is that the tables are too small for the tower and tea or low leading you to sort of hunch like a shrimp. Ambiance wise, its pretty much a hotel lounge, sort of separated off to give a windowside street view and is more of a cozy fireplace lounge than an open aesthetic We were greeted by an adorable glass of champagne, our server was quite nice and explained everything but could tell she was in training. Then we got to choose our teas, most of the teas smelled did seem more basic. I ended up choosing a creamy oolong and my friend got the signature one which was light and pairs better with the tower as the tower is unexpectedly rich. The tea is refilled quite often, though there is some confusion that you set the hourglass yourself and your server tells you which hourglass ( minute) your tea is steeped for. The scones were deliciously fluffy and warm, I only wish there was more of them. But beautiful jam and clotted cream selection. Surprisingly my favorites was the roast beef Yorkshire pudding ( creamy but not too heavy, a bite of spice, nicely balanced texture). Truffle sandwich was good too, not too overwhelming truffle and balanced well. And the chocolate desserts were rich. The rhubarb cake was interesting, not that much of a fan of the pickled rhubarb topping. I also tried foie gras for the first time which was again a privilege, but it was gamier than I expected. I think if the sandwiches had similar fluffiness of bread it would be more cohesive, but I appreciate the individual care to each item. Overall, come hungry as the tower is surprisingly filling. The items offered are pretty unique and overall was able to take my time and enjoy the experience. The only thing was the small space made it harder to maneuver things around like cutlery/napkins. I would try this experience with minimal distractions so you can truly relax. From what I see, this years spring set is a lot more delicate, so you can expect this hotel to continue improving their afternoon tea experience in the coming years.

This was our first time staying at the St. Regis Toronto and it will definitely not be our last. The staff's attention to detail was really above and beyond and we had such a comfortable stay. Our room was beautiful and the bed was SO comfy. We literally struggled to get out of bed every day because of it. Each day the housekeepers did a fantastic job of cleaning, everything was completely spotless. They really went the extra mile too - for example, one day they noticed that the toothpaste we had sitting out was running a little low, so they left us two extra little tubes of toothpaste. It's the little things like that that really made our stay comfortable. We felt like we never even had to ask for anything. I think there were people staying near us but we never heard any neighbors, so I think the rooms are built well. The lobby bar and the rooftop bar are also lovely, we frequented both of them. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken at the lobby bar and it was so freaking good. And be sure to check out the lobby bar at 6 PM because each night they do a really cool champagne sabering ritual (apparently something they do at every St. Regis around the world)! We will definitely stay here again the next time we're in Toronto.

Our arrival instructions to have a bottle of champagne and a bowl of fruit delivered to our room upon our arrival (to celebrate our anniversary) was not followed. It required a few rounds of emails with the butler service to get our order cancelled and removed from the hotel bill. That initial experience, unfortunately, colored our overall view of this hotel and the St. Regis brand--especially after communicating our needs well in advance via email to the Butler service email for this hotel. Our breakfast at Louix Louis was good in quality, but very slow in service. It took quite a while to get our coffee refilled. Also, our seating location at the end of the restaurant wasn't very picturesque. Finally, it was around 9:30am on Saturday morning when we had breakfast, and the bar staff was very noisy with replenishing their ice buckets and liquor bottles. The Afternoon Tea was fantastic in service and food quality--it was the highlight of our stay and a great value. The staff was very caring and attentive. The champagne, tea and sweet/savory foods were all excellent. It was a great value for the money.

Was here for the high tea experience and was beyond happy with this decision to celebrate a special date. If my memory isn't off I believe our waiter was Tristan and he was nothing short from world class from beginning to end with his service. Tristan took the time to explain yea service. Great variety of teas to choose from, I myself would highly recommend the oolong cream. Both the savoury and sweets were great. Egg salad and the sandwich and the peach panacotta would be my highlights from the tower. Tristan did an added bonus with the coffee art which really made it a special experience.

This is the third St Regis hotel I had been and this is not up to the usual St Regis standard. Taking over Trump Towers and trying to converted that to a St Regis property does posts challenges. The decor and the room set up is not the most pleasant. The style is old and conservative. Services definitely lacking. The front desk was pleasant and efficient. Housekeeping was a let down. The turndown service was not up to par. The beds were not remade, dirty cups were not cleared or replaced. Btw, 10% service fee is added to the room charges so guests does expect a certain level of service. The indoor pool facilities is nice with whirlpool and sauna room. But they really need housekeeping staff check on the supplies and cleanliness for often? Towels were everywhere from previous guests. The change room was in the same situation too. St Regis Toronto is a pass for me if I am looking for a high end staycation experience. There are so many better choices in Downtown TO.

I had an amazing afternoon tea experience with my friends at the Astor Lounge. I don't usually care for the sandwiches and pastries when I go to tea time but I found most of them to be really enjoyable from here. The scones were not as good as I'd hope they'd be but still okay. Service was great, loved the ambiance and would recommend this place. Probably the best afternoon tea I've had so far ( yes better than what I've had in London) and a steal for only $95/pp. Everyone need to try the oolong crème tea, it's the best.

Did a bit of a staycation in Toronto and decided to splurge. This hotel was 5 stars all the way. From the front staff to room service my experience here was fantastic. I opted for a suite that had a reduced price (I guess because of Covid). It had a living room, bedroom and small kitchenette. Highlights were TV in the bathroom, extremely comfy bed and very attentive staff. Worth a splurge to escape the daily rut!

Great hotel with pure luxurious and excellent services. We stayed in the one-bedroom suite and it was one of the best hotel stays I've every had. The hotel and room were beautiful and the service was spectacular. 24-hour room service and we had our own butler service that delivered french press coffee and newspaper. Room service and requests we had were always addressed immediately. Great job to the management team and staff here - thanks for a wondering experience.

Staff were very friendly and responsive throughout my stay. I was upgraded to a one bedroom which was welcomed. The room was large and comfortable. Better than the family's last stay in SoCal. The only room issue i had was the location of the in room safe. It was on the top shelf of the closet and the closet door blocked the safe door from opening fully. The other issue was 1 out of 3 elevators was offline the entire stay. It did make the waits a little longer. On the second floor was a very small gym but it did have a multifunction weight gym and cardio equipment. A water dispenser was located here. The heated indoor pool and spa was in the room next door. Breakfast was decent with a rotating menu over my stay. Scrambled eggs, omelettes, pork or turkey sausages, egg bites, seasoned potatoes, etc were some of the hot offerings. Cereals, breads and prepackaged yogurts were some of the cold items. They had both regular and oat milk which was nice. One note was that you have to provide your name and room before being admitted. There was a good amount of seating and was never crowded. In the evening the bar was open. Would come back and stay here again.

They especially enjoyed looking out the large window at the convention center, CN Tower and Lake Ontario. It was also nice having the extra (1.5) bathroom. The beds were very comfortable to sleep on and the housekeeping staff was almost invisible (a good thing). Since we got club level, it was convenient to grab food and snacks in the club lounge. Quite kid friendly, although with toddlers we were a bit self-conscious of our kids being too loud and messy. You can imagine my terror when my 18 month old threw a cup of milk on the lounge carpet. Luckily, the lounge staff is wonderful and welcoming and were very understanding of this mishap. The pool is very nice and heated. A little less picturesque than the St. Regis pool (which is located on a high floor) and smaller than the Shangri-La pool but still very nice. There are other amenities that are good for kids such as a free treasure hunt, complete with a prize at the end. Ritz Kids also has other paid activities that we did not do like baking classes, in-room camping, movie nights and family picnics. The hotel itself is conveniently located near the CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium, train museum and Rogers Centre. Most of these venues are within 10 minutes walking distance. I think it is also near the underground PATH, that connects many of Toronto's downtown buildings so you can avoid walking outside if so desired. Overall a great luxurious and family friendly hotel in downtown Toronto. Great for families visiting harborfront, CN Tower, Ripley's Aquarium or Rogers Center. The bathroom lights were located on the outside of the bathroom which is stupid, there was only one hook in the bathroom for towels, no hand towels, a scale that did not work, and no vanity space. The room is only equipped with three drawers in an armoire and massive tv that only displayed about 40 in of actual screen. The bar, Mister C, located off the lobby is also chic but over priced bar. The bouncer was not the nicest to the hotel guests even though I was sitting outside drinking water, he was convinced I was have an alcoholic beverage and went off about how they would get fines. I don't care. I'm drinking water? The club can get pretty busy and there is also a busy club on the rooftop, so if you're trying to get to your room at night, you're waiting for the elevator for a long time. The service elevator is located next to all of the guest elevators and did not open for guests. They were the most busy I've ever seen but the restaurant on the roof has SO many staff members i couldn't imagine it's an issue and almost a daily thing here. Loved the Byredo toiletries, that felt on par with the price of the room, but the room itself was like any other budget hotel room EXCEPT the mini fridge was occupied by all the overpriced drinks one could buy, so there was no room to use it. This hotel doesn't even offer the things you might expect from a budget hotel option (like breakfast). It's also $65 to valet park your car each night. I might be completely misunderstanding the "luxury hotel" experience since I'm a real working class hero but it really seems like you're paying for location and "vibes" (the lobby was as heavily perfumed as a late 00s Hollister) more than anything else. Maybe the hotel could provide sleeping masks since they cannot install decent floor to ceiling blackout curtains. Or how about providing earplugs? Either way... started off at 3 stars. now at 1 star experience. So if you or your toddlers are light sleepers this room is not for you. Also this room includes 2 high stools which i used to prop up against the bed for my wiggling sleeping toddler to not fall off as neither beds are near a wall.

More unfortunately, was that the Weekend was having two nights of a concert in the stadium and I faced the stadium. They had a large black tarp up, either so you could not get a free concert or to try to block out the noise. Block out the nice it did not. The hotel has a resturant that had this delicious Snickers Martini that was probably 10358 calories but it was so good I have like eight. The breakfast buffet was not horrible but also not great in some regards. They did not have skim milk which is okay but the selections were a bit lacking, esp of healthier options IMO. But it was still quite good. i had a voucher from my company so I could not tell you the price. The hotel is nice enough, the doors at the entrance are a case study in human factors engineering since you veer to the right to go in then sharply veer to the left to get through the ante room to the lobby. There are 4 elevators and there is a huge column that requires you go look at the floor indicator bar where there is an arrow adjacent that says if you need to look on the other side of the pillar for your cab. The staff was nice and the room was clean. There is a starbucks in the lobby that can charge your room but cannot use the app. https://youtube.com/shorts/UuKuv8EbVrg

A very nice hotel in the heart of Toronto. I stayed for three nights and enjoyed my stay. The…read morelocation is awesome with just about everything you'd need close by. And by that I mean coffee shops (I suggest visiting French Made), restaurants, some shopping, things like that. The lobby itself is pretty with a giant koi pond with a fountain-like structure in the middle. There's also the bar and some tables and chairs. Near the elevators you'll find a mini store with snacks, drinks, and things you may have forgotten to pack. My room was a good size and to my surprise the bed was comfortable and I was able to sleep rather well. One pet peeve of mine at hotels is when the shower is impossible to turn on without getting wet, which was the case here. The lighting in the bathroom also wasn't the best. Thankfully I brought my own mirror so I was able to do my makeup in front of the window. Overall, better than the average, but not quite five stars.

Although beds were comfortable and we had a great sleep, we all agreed we were not fond that there was no head boards, which made it uncomfortable to sit up in bed. It was all hard empty space behind the mattress, which was too wide to pile up the pillows for sitting up. Bathroom was spacious. Rooms were very, very quiet, and we barely heard a peep in the hall or doors slamming. No loud steps or jumping from the rooms above us. Lobby was inviting, clean and fancy. There was a small table inside the lobby with crayons and paper for kids. Restaurant and washrooms below (you can take stairs or elevator down) Some food options close by (Starbucks attached to the building, Tahinis across the street, and Wendy's down the street). Bulk Barn and Shoppers Drug Mart just down the street for snacks/essentials.
