My friend and I had a wonderful time at the Alamo cafe inside the Ritz Carlton hotel. We were served by a very generous and kind server named Harsh. Hilarious name because he was completely opposite to that LOL He was attentive and generous and friendly. We would definitely come here again because of Harsh.

Five starts isn't enough -- I'd give it ten if I could! The hotel is nestled in the heart of the city, with top attractions just a stone's throw away. Sure it's the Ritz and we came here with certain expectations but the staff here blew us away with thoughtful touches and genuine warmth throughout our stay. 100% recommend!

Simply put, Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Ritz-Carlton standards throughout. We love the gym on the 5th floor. Everything there is spic and span! The hotel is conveniently close to so many places. We're lukewarm with the in-house restaurants though. Other than that, everything is A+!

Absolutely an amazing 5 star experience! From the moment we walked in to check in, to the wonderful club attendants at the club lounge--which I highly recommend the upgrade, (shoutout to Max, Emma, and Olga!), we felt like we were treated nothing less than luxury and 5 star. The respect and attention to detail was absolutely superb and I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Toronto. We will definitely be back! Thank you for an amazing stay!

One of the best hotel stay experiences I've had! The stay was nothing less than stellar, with the service and accommodations being top notch. The hotel is conveniently located downtown and walkable to many restaurants, pubs, activities and shopping. The personal touches to the room (notes, chocolates, champagne) were a nice surprise and what makes the Ritz-Carlton stand out from the rest. I'd like to thank Audrey, who not only gave us some excellent recommendations on what to do, see and eat, but she checked on us almost daily to see how we were liking our stay in Toronto. The pool/jacuzzi were a nice treat after a long day of walking the city, and the fitness center was well kept with a wide range of cardio machines and free weights. Five stars all around!

The legacy brand of Ritz Carlton within Marriott Bonvoy portfolio is one of sharp contrasts. Many properties have deteriorated to a memory of what luxury used to be, while others, like Ritz Toronto are a shining example of Ritz glamour enduring for a future generation of luxury travel. Originally established as a Swiss hotel brand, known for such iconic hotels like Ritz Paris and Cesar Ritz, it is a brand that consistently attracted the artists, writers, business leaders and more generally, the filthy rich of each passing decade. Later going through many hands and changes, the brand had endured the test of time and resurrected by Marriott's acquisition, continued to define luxury globally. The Ritz Toronto is a modern, glassy, sharp structure that is a pleasant add to the skyline. It's modernism is already a sharp departure from the many neo classical Ritz hotels. The lobby is vast, but not particularly imposing or breathtaking. It is pleasant, but could easily be confused for that of a corporate building and does not have a "wow" factor to it by any means. It's not a warm space nor does it have a particularly special character. As an ambassador elite, the treatment was spectacular. Upgrade to the executive suite was an amazing start, especially considering the views of CN Tower. The Executive Suite is spacious, beautifully appointed with contemporary furniture, high quality upholstery and elegant wood floors. Ritz hotels do not provide breakfast for elite guests, which is certainly a disappointment and can end up as a deciding factor relative to St Regis or Park Hyatt. Yet, it is what it is and certainly not something to blame this particular property for. A corporate policy that needs work is all it is. The staff congratulated the birthday occasion through a nice bottle of wine waiting in the room, a dessert and a handwritten note. All pleasant and wonderful gestures that went above and beyond any expectations. In addition to the upgrade, the hotel even honored Your24 benefit to checkout late, resulting in this being one of the best Ritz properties for status recognition as a whole. It's a royal treatment for the most loyal guests, creating an atmosphere of true enjoyment. Beyond the room, the hotel has a wonderful pool and sauna area that is well maintained and is an amazing escape from the cold Canadian winter. The lobby bar was efficient, with delicious food. The people working here were there to help at every turn. Not only is this a Ritz that sets an example for status recognition, but is a combination is a beautiful design, immaculate service and attentiveness to detail. It is a property that sets a high bar, demonstrating the brand's ability to compete in today's dense luxury segment.

I stayed here for a solo birthday trip. When I first walked in, I was greeted by the valet who were very helpful and accommodating. Gorgeous hotel. I was a little early for my room reservation, so I had to wait which was completely expected. The lady at the front desk said she would call me to let me know when my room was ready-- I never received a call, I had to check back in at the desk myself much later and they told me that my room had been ready. I was a little irritated at that but I didn't put too much thought into it, I had been traveling all day and just wanted to lay down. However, I asked if I could sit by the pool until my room was ready and I was told I was allowed to by that same lady at the front desk. When I get up to the pool area, that is right outside of the spa, I was treated as if I was a random person off the street and not a hotel guest. The staff at the spa was quite rude and embarrassingly yelled across from the hotel in an extremely judgmental tone in front of other people "are you staying HERE?" I had to tell (well, yell since they didn't want to come up and speak to me like a regular human being) them that I had permission to stay at the pool until my room was ready. They finally let me sit by the pool where I wanted to relax, but after these series of events I have been getting frustrated. I had many people looking at me and this felt unwelcoming. I was starting to second guess the spa treatment I had planned for the next morning that I booked weeks in advance there, if that was how I was going to be treated. I do have good things to say that I suppose made up for my first impression experience. When I came back from having dinner at the hotel, the staff surprised me with balloons and treats and a card wishing me a happy birthday. It was very sweet! I don't know how they planned it so well, because when I arrived in the room when I first checked in there wasn't anything but after I got back from dinner there was a whole thing set up-- SO thoughtful. Also, the bed was comfortable and the room was beautiful. I highly recommend the hotel restaurant downstairs because their staff & service is fantastic! But, going back to the lady at the front desk, I don't know if she was new or what but that was not a great first impression. Also, if you're going to have a guest wait by the pool area let the other staff members know so they don't get the treatment I got when I went to walk up to the pool. There was a lot of back & forth trying to prove that I was a guest that I should not have had to do, the staff should have already sorted themselves out. I guess I just had high expectations for this hotel because of the name. I booked to stay at the Ritz so I could relax and I felt a bit uneasy in the beginning. Indecisive if I would stay here again; at least at this location. I haven't made that decision yet because I had some major pros and major cons. Also, everyone has different experiences but I wanted to share mine.

    Crumbs in the bedding

One of my least favorite things is being in a half cleaned room. I was very tired when I went to bed last night. So I did not do my customary bedding check before I turned in. I mean I shouldn't have to at the Ritz, right? I woke up this morning and found a dark hair in my bed that was very much unlike my own. When I pulled the sheets back, I was disgusted to find a micro pile of crumbs that was unlike anything I had eaten the night before. I've been waiting for someone in management to call for going on an hour. You decide if this is how you want to spend your time and money.

Atmosphere & Service: The Ritz Carlton Nutcracker afternoon tea setting surpassed my expectations in terms of seating arrangement, food, service and overall Christmas décor. Nutcrackers were everywhere! We made reservations about a week in advance during the Christmas break - which to our surprise had many available time slots. The service here was absolutely out of this world. Lost in the lobby, we were quickly directed to the service room, coats checked in seated exactly on time - if not earlier. The service lasted about 2 hours which was plenty of time. Our waiter was also extremely accommodating and thoughtful of our dietary and allergy restrictions. Food: My friend and I opted for the Blush Tea ($69), included a selection of fine teas, towering assortment of savoury and sweet delights and a glass of Henry of Pelham "Cuvee Catharine". Our chosen teas were: Feuilles D'Argent and Oolong Crème. Would highly recommend the Oolong Crème if you like a light buttery tart. Price: The price is definitely on the higher end for afternoon tea services. From what I've experienced in the past, I would say its worth it. Would return!

We came to Toronto to see a concert, and decided to stay the night. All of the hotels in Toronto are expensive, so I decided to splurge and spend a couple hundred more to stay here. I also got a bed and breakfast offer that included breakfast and valet parking. I left a more thorough review on Tripadvisor, but overall, I really wasn't impressed with my stay here, and there was nothing exceptional about it. By far, the best service I received was at their two bars; the Ritz bar and Deq. Since anyone can go to each of these bars, I don't really consider that part of my stay. I did online check in and said I'd arrive before check in time. I got there around 2:30, and my room was ready, which was nice. The girl at the front desk was very nice, but no one walked me to my room, showed me around ,etc. I read reviews that people were given champagne on arrival. I was not offered that. I was also really disappointed that there wasn't any candy in the lobby. I had read in several reviews that there was a candy bar in the lobby in the afternoons. I know it's a small thing, but I was looking forward to this. When I got off the elevator, the first thing I noticed was a wet dog smell. The entire floor smelled that way for my whole stay. Luckily my room didn't. My first reaction to my room was that it was small. I had looked at videos online, but was still surprised how small it felt. The bathroom was nice. I liked the water closet, bath, and walk in shower. The toiletries were also nice. And the nicest thing in the room was the tv in the bathroom mirror. However, it didn't have the same channel numbers as the tv in the bedroom, and there was no guide, so it was hard to find anything to watch on it. There was a canister in the bathroom that truly looked like something another guest left behind. It had scratches on it, and I opened it to see what it was, and cotton balls were in it. It was so beat up, I couldn't even get the lid back on it. The room had some nice little features, like a light when you opened the door to the safe, and settings on the light switches to brighten and dim them. The robes were also nice and plush. It would have been nice to also have slippers though. Housekeeping came for turn down service at 5:00, which seemed really early since I'd just gotten there at 2:30. If we had been in the room all day, I guess it wouldn't have seemed so strange. The bed was ok. It wasn't especially memorable, but I also wasn't uncomfortable. However, one of the pillow cases had a black thing stuck to it. Given that they were white sheets, it was very visible. And it was truly stuck to it. It wasn't like a crumb or something. How did housekeeping make the bed and not notice this? In the morning, I planned to make coffee, order breakfast, and use the tub since check out wasn't until noon. I called to order breakfast and use the bed and breakfast offer I'd booked. When I called, she told me I didn't have that offer. I explained that I did, that I'd booked it online, and I had print screens of it on my phone. She continued to insist I had no credit. This really irritated me. Do people that spend this much money on a room for one night usually lie about having a credit for breakfast? And why didn't she put me on hold or ask someone else, or really do anything else rather than repeatedly telling me I had no such credit? She kept looking for a few minutes and found it. If I'd have been on hold for that time I'd be a lot less angry about it now. It was incredibly unprofessional and something I expect to deal with at a Holiday Inn rather than the Ritz Carlton. Once I could actually order it, the breakfast came really fast. They said 25 minutes, but it came much faster than that. It was displayed nicely and it came with free smoothie shots. I really liked the spreads that came with it, and the man that brought it was very nice. The plusses end there though, and the food was pretty terrible. Without the credit, this breakfast would have been $69! A $69 breakfast should be one of the best I've ever had. It was easily one of the worst. The egg white omelette was ordered with just ricotta. If there was any cheese in it at all, you could have fooled me. The weird potato thing that came with it also wasn't good. I'm not even sure what it was supposed to be. The yogurt with granola was just ok. The pastries were also something you'd get anywhere. The toast was actually the best part of the meal. My two star review for this hotel is not really because anything was necessarily wrong, but because everything wasn't right. When you pay this much for a hotel stay, I really shouldn't have anything to complain about. I certainly shouldn't need to argue with a staff person about my breakfast credit. The only difference about staying here was the higher price tag. There are other luxury hotels in downtown Toronto, so if I come here again, I'd try one of those and see if I really get a luxurious experience.

    Burnt black "thin" crust pizza
    Tyler D.

Hello- Wow. After traveling all day. I treated myself to in room dinning. As the nice young woman unloaded the food my face was probably showing the horror I felt seeing pizza that was extremely burned and chicken tenders that looked like they were old and definitely were not tossed in buffalo sauce more like poured on top of sat for awhile and served. I'm mortified. I've never stayed at a ritz Carlton, but the hotels I've stayed at have had better quality of food. I'm extremely disappointed and will be leaving multiple reviews across all social media platforms. Thanks for this first experience.

One of the finest hotels in Toronto Canada! I was just in Canada recently for Father's Day weekend and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Toronto. And it was a very nice comfortable hotel. My room was nice, the room service was great, and the swimming pool was so much fun, I could even see the CN Tower from my hotel, especially from the pool area. Overall, great hotel, loved the smell of the hotel lobby, and I plan to come back! I totally recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in a really nice hotel in Toronto. Especially cause I could easily walk to and from my hotel to and from other places. And god bless the people as well as Canadians are really nice people!

We stayed here on our wedding night. It was such a fantastic experience that we decided to stay here again on our 1 year anniversary. Is the room pricey? Yes. But if you are able to treat yourself and splurge for a special occasion (whether it be a staycation or if you're visiting Toronto), staying at the Ritz-Carlton will NOT disappoint and something you will always remember. The room, the views, and their service are amazing! I don't even know how but everyone knows your name. Everyone, not just the front desk, seem genuinely happy to be there. We had treats in our rooms both times (cupcakes, celebratory balloons, champagne) and all the little details really differentiated them, it really made our stay there a memorable time that we won't forget. If you do end up splurging and staying here, I would go the extra mile and treat yourself to a massage at their spa! Their massages are great and they have a nice lounge area that you can relax in after, or you can use their sauna, pool, hot tub, etc. It's perfect if you really need some R&R. They also have a candy bar and tea available in the lobby during the day, a lovely touch!

Breakfast was decent with a rotating menu over my stay. Scrambled eggs, omelettes, pork or turkey sausages, egg bites, seasoned potatoes, etc were some of the hot offerings. Cereals, breads and prepackaged yogurts were some of the cold items. They had both regular and oat milk which was nice. One note was that you have to provide your name and room before being admitted. There was a good amount of seating and was never crowded. In the evening the bar was open. Would come back and stay here again.

There are lots of convenience stores and restaurants easily within walking distance of the hotel. Unless you are really traveling to the outskirts of Toronto suburbs, you really don't need a car. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated. The staff is very helpful and patient. The rooms are nice, but you can tell they need just a little bit of upkeep. The price is pretty on point with the central location and the quality of the hotel. I did find a few things that I think could be improved. The hotel rooms are starting to show their age. I had a room that had a cracked mirror and a cracked sink. My remote control was sticky for some reason... The most annoying part was that I couldn't adjust the thermostat. There's a thermostat in the room, but no matter how I changed it, the temperature never seemed to change. I had to talk to the staff to ask them about adjusting the AC, and they made it sound like they had to adjust it. I don't think I've ever had a hotel room that needed someone else to adjust the AC temp, maybe my thermostat was just broken. All in all a pretty good stay. The pool was beautiful with 360 views of Toronto. I did not find this hotel to be super functional though. There was no main light in the room so it was pretty dark being that the room was facing another building. The bathroom lights were located on the outside of the bathroom which is stupid, there was only one hook in the bathroom for towels, no hand towels, a scale that did not work, and no vanity space. The room is only equipped with three drawers in an armoire and massive tv that only displayed about 40 in of actual screen. The bar, Mister C, located off the lobby is also chic but over priced bar. The bouncer was not the nicest to the hotel guests even though I was sitting outside drinking water, he was convinced I was have an alcoholic beverage and went off about how they would get fines. I don't care. I'm drinking water? The club can get pretty busy and there is also a busy club on the rooftop, so if you're trying to get to your room at night, you're waiting for the elevator for a long time. The service elevator is located next to all of the guest elevators and did not open for guests. So in this giant hotel, there are only 2 functional elevators for guests. when we came back to the hotel after being out all day (about 4 pm) on our first evening, the room was not cleaned yet. When I called the main desk to ask why our room has not been cleaned, he said they should be coming soon. I've never stayed at a hotel that cleaned so late in the day. There was a broken roomba in the hallway and I knew it was broken because there were crumbs that sat in the hallway for the duration of my entire visit, about 4 days. 65$ to park your car EVERY NIGHT and $35 resort fee to do so. Insane amount just to park your car here. The pool closed yesterday at 5:30 pm to accommodate the night club that would be open. Our waitress tried to get us to close our tab an hour before closing. Meanwhile, it took 30 minutes to get our drinks and food. They were the most busy I've ever seen but the restaurant on the roof has SO many staff members i couldn't imagine it's an issue and almost a daily thing here. They also charge per person if one person gets still water. While this hotel was very beautiful, it has a lot of kinks to work out before I would consider staying with this chain again.

Nespresso machine in room. Beds and linens were clean and comfortable. Cons: This is supposed to be a 'luxury' hotel so I was surprised that it just seemed like a dark, (INCREDIBLY) tacky Holiday Inn. Like putting lipstick on a pig, honestly, that was the experience. Loved the Byredo toiletries, that felt on par with the price of the room, but the room itself was like any other budget hotel room EXCEPT the mini fridge was occupied by all the overpriced drinks one could buy, so there was no room to use it. This hotel doesn't even offer the things you might expect from a budget hotel option (like breakfast). It's also $65 to valet park your car each night. I might be completely misunderstanding the "luxury hotel" experience since I'm a real working class hero but it really seems like you're paying for location and "vibes" (the lobby was as heavily perfumed as a late 00s Hollister) more than anything else. Temper your expectations.

The hotel itself has Amazing customer service, great amenities, and an Amazing soft bed which I was looking forward too. Issue: The game was at 3pm and it is currently midnight as I write this review. The stadium lights are still on and shinning brightly through. Before booking, I looked up reddits and different posts that said 11pm is when the lights normally turn off. But at 11pm the stadium turned on either a loud vacuum or fan of some sort (and it has been on for the past hour).(( UPDATE: turns out it's Leaf blowers. TONs of employees using leaf blowers throughout the stadium to remove trash.)) (((2nd noise update: 330am-7am more loud machines, they are now power washing the seats/floors throughout the stadium, plus noise from employees chatting while working)). The hotel should at least provide some transpency and warn guests about the field doing maintenance because I would have rather saved a thousand+ dollars by just going to the game itself and picking a different room knowing we'd be getting a get a good night's rest. Maybe the hotel could provide sleeping masks since they cannot install decent floor to ceiling blackout curtains. Or how about providing earplugs? Either way... started off at 3 stars. now at 1 star experience. So if you or your toddlers are light sleepers this room is not for you. Also this room includes 2 high stools which i used to prop up against the bed for my wiggling sleeping toddler to not fall off as neither beds are near a wall.

More unfortunately, was that the Weekend was having two nights of a concert in the stadium and I faced the stadium. They had a large black tarp up, either so you could not get a free concert or to try to block out the noise. Block out the nice it did not. The hotel has a resturant that had this delicious Snickers Martini that was probably 10358 calories but it was so good I have like eight. The breakfast buffet was not horrible but also not great in some regards. They did not have skim milk which is okay but the selections were a bit lacking, esp of healthier options IMO. But it was still quite good. i had a voucher from my company so I could not tell you the price. The hotel is nice enough, the doors at the entrance are a case study in human factors engineering since you veer to the right to go in then sharply veer to the left to get through the ante room to the lobby. There are 4 elevators and there is a huge column that requires you go look at the floor indicator bar where there is an arrow adjacent that says if you need to look on the other side of the pillar for your cab. The staff was nice and the room was clean. There is a starbucks in the lobby that can charge your room but cannot use the app. https://youtube.com/shorts/UuKuv8EbVrg

The room was a standard size and comfortable, with a clean and pleasant atmosphere. The bathroom design, however, had a few inconveniences--for example, the shower can't be turned on without getting wet, and there was no place to hang a towel within easy reach. On the positive side, the location is outstanding, particularly for visiting the Rogers Centre and the many nearby bars and restaurants. The attached 00 Gelato shop was a delightful surprise--I highly recommend the tiramisu flavor. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming, which made the stay enjoyable.

Near the elevators you'll find a mini store with snacks, drinks, and things you may have forgotten to pack. My room was a good size and to my surprise the bed was comfortable and I was able to sleep rather well. One pet peeve of mine at hotels is when the shower is impossible to turn on without getting wet, which was the case here. The lighting in the bathroom also wasn't the best. Thankfully I brought my own mirror so I was able to do my makeup in front of the window. Overall, better than the average, but not quite five stars.
