I have to say, I loved the ambiance of Gavaghans. I am not entirely an Irish pub kind of girl, but…read morewhen you are in Rome you do what the Romans do, right? And in Sebring, that means you walk into the cool Irish pub on the circle and soak it all in. The interior alone makes it worth the visit. Dark wood, warm lighting, that cozy tucked-away pub feel that makes you forget you are in the middle of Florida. It feels transported. It is one of those places in Sebring that you just have to see because it is so unexpectedly cool inside. Service was great. I was there for a quick in and out, so I sat at the bar and kept it simple with a chicken Caesar salad. Nothing fancy. For the price, it was very fair, and the flavor held up. No complaints. It did exactly what it needed to do, which was give me a solid meal in a comfortable setting without overcomplicating things. Now let's talk about Sebring itself. Sebring is one of those towns in the middle of nowhere Florida where you find yourself thinking, "I wonder what it would be like to live here?" while also scratching your head a little. It reminds me of The Villages before The Villages became The Villages. There is a concept there. It is adorable. It is charming. And most of the time, it is very, very quiet. Personally, I would go stir crazy living there full time. But I can absolutely see the appeal. And to be fair, Sebring is not always sleepy. It comes alive during major events like the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring at Sebring International Raceway, which draws racing fans from all over the world. There is also the Sebring Soda Festival, the Highlands County Fair, and various car shows and seasonal events that suddenly flood the town with energy. During those times, I imagine the entire vibe shifts. If I were to come back, it would be for one of those big events or for some serious antique shopping, because that is where this area quietly shines. Gavaghans fits perfectly into that Sebring personality. Cozy. A little unexpected. Solid. Worth stepping into. Even if you are not an Irish pub person, it is one of those spots that makes you think, okay... I get it.

We sat ourselves at a table nearest a window. The place is dimly lit. We placed our order at the bar. We did not wait long for our meal. We each had the Cesar Salad with Bacon bits and a glass of red wine. The salad was a generous portion, fresh and crisp with just the right amount of housemade dressing. We each ate half of the salad and took the remaining home. The place was quiet with only one other table seated. We were able to converse with each other in a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere. It was a most pleasant evening. I recommend Gavaghans and plan to return on a weekend when the place might have a more livelier vibe.

This is one of the finest Italian/Pizza/Sub shops in the area and I've never talked about their awesome cheesesteak! This review rectifies this. Customer Service- So I blew into order my cheesesteak to-go. The young lady at the counter was a little chatty as I am and just fine. It took me maybe two minutes and my sammich was out in about five more. No choice but five stars! Food- So they bake their own rolls here which is a big plus. The gold standard for cheesesteak is an Amoroso roll from the Philadelphia area. These are not that but very good. There was plenty of tender meat with no fatty pieces. Good stuff! Here they add peppers onions & mushrooms, and I have no problem with that, and they were tasty. They use White American cheese, and it was tasty and there was plenty of it. Now for something weird and wonderful. A couple of years ago a good friend asked me to try adding pepperoni to my cheesesteak. I did and it was awesome! I've been doing it ever since and this time it costs me an extra buck. The basic sandwich is $11.99. I brought this bad boy home, and you can see my picture. It was an excellent filling cheesesteak, and I love supporting a local business. Five stars!

Finding my way in the more rural areas of our fine state for work - and literally driving there and…read moremy meetings on an empty stomach - I found Cody's on the recommendation of a Yelp bro & stopped for a late lunch / early dinner before heading back to the 305. The decor is classic 50s roadside diner with old license plates on the wall, an old pickup truck outside and a TV on ESPN by my table. The menu is classic Americana / diner fare with a southern touch. I'd been on an empty stomach through my 3 hour drive and meetings, so by the time I sat down to eat, I almost would have even eaten the paper the menu was written on :) Since it was a little bit on the chilly side, I started with their hearty cup of baked potato soup, deliciously loaded with cheese & bacon bits in a stew. Their warm, buttery and fluffy rolls topped with cinnamon butter were worth every single gram of carbs and almost functioned as a dessert themselves. Then came my yummy main dish, a roasted half chicken with just the right amount of skin and garnished with a smoky barbecue sauce. It was a sizable bird, taking up a nice bit of plate real estate, though leaving just enough room for a warm and topped with butter sweet potato. Needless to say, I still had room for dessert, and enjoyed their Keylime pie. Mal, my waitress, was very pleasant and I didn't have to wait for soda refills. Plating was also on time. I noticed they also had a Valentine's Day local special. It seems like this is a happening place in Sebring and I'd stop by next time I'm in the area.

    - Over 25 years of patronage! -…read more Yup, I've used this chain in six states for over twenty-five years. Why is that? Currently, in my teeny tiny town, I have 4 big pizza chains and1local business that is by far the best and also the most expensive. I've used the local guy many times, but I still use Domino's and here's why- Location- They are on Main Street with a great parking lot, and I drive by them almost every day. I even use car-side delivery so it's super convenient! Ambience- Clean and neat and that's enough said. App- There is almost always a deal available. It would be extremely rare for me to pay full price. On this visit any pie I wanted was 50% off! That's hard to beat. Customer Service- The tracker on the app works great and they are virtually always on time for my pickup. The folks are polite and I virtually always get a smile. Food- This visit I ordered a large MeatZZa for $10 which is a great deal. As usual it was baked perfectly as you can see from my picture. It was tasty and great value. Conclusion- They got 4 stars for this visit. Not 5 because I can easily purchase a better by as long as I'm willing to Pay more!

Don't order from here…read more We ordered food from across the state to have delivered to my mother in law like we do every year for Mother's Day. She prefers papa John's but gave dominoes a chance. A large pie, salad and a dessert. The food showed up with a coupon for a salad because they didn't have lettuce. It wasn't a free salad. It was a free salad with your next purchase coupon after I paid for the item.. When my wife contacted them, they gave her attitude and said that that's why we gave you a coupon because we're out of lettuce like it's our problem. Then wanted to proceed to be rude and tell her they would have to cancel the order and re-ring in every individual item to re process the charge. And wanted to recharge us again while waiting for a refund. So not only did we not get our salad we did not get our refund. We have a coupon that we can only use if we spend more money which we don't eat at Domino's because clearly customer service and product is lacking there of.. But turds like this won't even accept the fact that they were wrong. We did not get our product and we were scammed out of money. Not a lot of money, but still Save you money and don't waste your time with this place.
