Having this restaurant so close to home makes it so easy for my son to spoil me with desserts. For someone who has a sweet tooth, I definitely love how the desserts aré subtly sweet. I've tried about 8 different pastries so far ( have only pictured three) and all of them have been delicious. My favorite is the sleepy teddy bear. Thanks to my friend, who traveling more than an hour to make my dream came true today!!! They are sooo adorable!!! They are all mousse, but having different flavors. I guess the chef wants to meet all our needs. The little bear is my favorite! He is so cute! I just want to hug him! Well, I can't hug him and I can't just looking at him :(( Anyway, he is sweet, nutty, moist, and smooth. I say sweet, but believe me it's not sugary sweet. Very very yummy!!! And my little piggy, he is so soft and smooth! I was so surprised seeing strawberry jams inside the big. It's so fruity, berry, flavorful! My daughter had her little hoppy (the bunny). And I tried some. The first spoon was creamy and smooth with lemony like aroma. The second spoon has the chocolate part. This light tart flavor with the light sweetness of chocolate blended in together so well. I love them all from the presentation to the taste. Easter is coming. I wonder if The Spoon would make some colorful little eggs to go with the bunnies. Anyway, we all have different taste buds, if you like nutty and sweet, go for the little bear. If you like fruity berries, go for the little piggy. And if you like something like citrusy (sweet and light tart), go for the bunny. However, I believe they have mango flavor for the pig too. What an awesome dessert place! We were visiting Southern California and on our way to Knott's Berry Farm and found this place. It's a new establishment, hence the decor and setting are very modern/contemporary, which is what their desserts are about. There are ample seating for people to chill with family and friends. The best part is, the desserts are amazing!!!!!!!!! They look so good, and they taste even better! You can tell the chef has years of experience and he really took pride in his creations. OC people, you are so lucky! I will stop by and load up on these goodies to take home with me. If only they ship out of state! read more

Amazing service. Came in and immediately felt so cozy. The ambiance of this place is so calming and surrealistic. The desert is amazing! Definitely recommend the "Mango Passion Cheesecake", "Lychee Bunny", and the "Yuzu Mango Mousse"! Only thing I would recommend would be a bigger menu on the walls or near the entrance. There are menus for coffee and drinks, but for the desserts I couldn't see any. Of course this didn't ruin the experience in the slightest, I was still very happy with the surface and dessert! This restaurant is an amazing place to hang out with friends and family over some tea and exotic delicious desserts. Upon entering, you are welcomed with an amazing staff who go through the menu with you if you are u familiar with their desserts. They have a variety of high quality mousse with an exotic flavor that you cant find elsewhere. My favorite has to be the guava and the durian! And what i love about their desserts is they are not overly sweet which is good because they have a subtle taste to them and just melts in your mouth. They also have a variety of beverages from hot teas, coffees and flavored ice tea - though their passion fruit tea was slightly sweet for my liking. The ambience of this place is very cozy and its a perfect place to catch up with friends or even do some work in if you ever want to get out of the house. I also love how they have big windows that overlooks the outside of their restaurant. I'd def recommend this place to anyone.:) read more

My first thought regarding The Spoon, was its location. Right on one of the busiest highways in Orange County, Beach Blvd. and near the freeway. So it's already a convenient destination. When i entered the The Spoon, I was immediately taken in by the ambiance. Quaint, chic and sexy were my first impressions. Definitely a place to start or end a date. The staff are very friendly and very accommodating. It's hard to believe this place is new and a new venture for the owners. There was nothing new about their level of service to their customers, myself included. But the real stars were these beautifully handcrafted, incredibly delicious deserts. They give you a variety of flavors, each with a delicate yet vibrant taste. The Artistry of these desserts are certainly an impression of love and passion and you taste it in each bite. Of course, to accompany my deserts (I think I sampled 6 or 7...don't judge me!) I was recommended a cappuccino by the the owner Violet. It was Perfection!! My experience was 5 huge Stars across the board. I recommend The Spoon to everyone! There are couples on dates around me, families enjoying themselves around me.
