Her speech is beyond what it was when we brought her in, and now, she can identify and self-correct herself. She's amazed at how she spoke and sounded when watching old videos of herself. The staff has always been caring and professional. Sure, there were scheduling conflicts, both planned and unplanned, on their end as well as ours. All of it handled well in light of ever-changing situations. They've been responsive to our inquiries, and kept us in the loop about our daughter's progress. We are thrilled we found Speech Point, and even more so that they were able to help our daughter correct her speech!

For the past 10 months we've worked with Andrea and Kelsey. My daughter says words with sounds she wasn't able to do before. She also has so much fun. The sessions are engaging and the toys are always different so it motivates her to target goals. From what I've seen, all the therapist are super positive and ready to jump in and WORK HARD. The SLP's use every moment as an opportunity to help target my daughter's speech goals. At first I didn't think 30 minutes would be enough time. Nope, I was wrong. Without Andrea and Kelsey's expertise, my daughter wouldn't be saying the words she says now. I've been with other clinics with my other children too. Speech Point really is a top notch clinic. I have to add: The owner is really nice and easy to talk to. She's busy doing assessments all the time but she'll make time to chat when requested. Just ask. Courtney and Temika are on top of the scheduling and behind the scenes tasks. They always respond via text, email or by phone. There's some scheduling issues at the moment due to short staffing but management has been giving updates and the owner is stepping in to help. I can't thank the team enough for helping my daughter so much this past year.

(Backstory: I was very intentional about finding speech therapy services for my son because I could no longer wait for Regional Center to find a vendor). As such, I came across Pawsitive Speech Therapy on Yelp and felt compelled to reach out after reading the good reviews about Jennifer's services. We had a consultation, and began weekly services shortly after. My son really enjoys Pawsitive Speech and loves playing with Ms. Jennifer! She provides a fun, warm and welcoming environment that is comfortable for the kids and is passionate about the speech development of her clients. She gives each child her full attention during session, and has so much patience! You can tell she really tailors her therapy to the specific needs of each child. It's not a one size fits all. Her love , dedication and parent tips has really helped my sons growth. I am so thankful for Pawsitive Speech therapy. This has been a blessing to us. I encourage all concerned parents to reach out for a consultation if you are having concerns regarding your child's speech delays, or if you're tired of waiting on insurance to find a provider for you. This was the best decision I could have made for my son. Thank you Ms Jennifer!

The ones that don't give real...dmv vibes. My husband and I explored about 10+ providers (some covered by insurance and some not...lynne alba, learning tree, OC speech, etc.) between Long Beach and Orange County. What we learned is: 1. Choose a provider that wants you (mom and dad) involved in the process. Sessions build the foundation and it then can be enforced at home 2. Choose a provider that isn't overloaded with clients so you can get a higher quality of care 3. Kids want to talk when they're excited so a dog for example can really help break the ice and allow your child to open up. That said, our experience with Jen has been phenomenal! She truly cares about my son and she's a mom herself so she knows how family dynamics can be and is understanding of that. She keeps us involved and truly goes above and beyond. This past halloween she coordinated a trick-or-treat tour with the nearby offices for her kids to have fun with! She challenges my son so that he is constantly moving to the next level with his speech. The dog Francis is such a great helper! Sometimes the dog does nothing but stick by my son's side and that is enough and we love it. Take a chance on Jen, you will gain confidence in her services very fast especially in comparison to anyone else out there!

Valued Voices' client service is disappointing: no respect to customer's time…read more We have arrived to the 1st practical session. We arrived on time and have been waited for 20 mins near room - nothing was happening, no one welcomed us or guided us. To our surprise, later we received a message from an administrator claiming we had missed our appointment and offering to reschedule it. But during these 20 mins of waiting no no one attempted to contact us and let us know that we are waiting in a wrong place! In addition to time wasted, it also disrupted my child's mood - we had to take him from playing with friends for nothing. My advice to Valued Voices: be more respectful to the time of your clients. Time=value!

Megan was so great with both of us. She allowed me to sit in on more sessions than their policy states and only when I was ready did she take my son back by himself. She made me feel like she was my partner in navigating the whole speech thing. When I can't make it to take him to his appointments, she'll send videos of his progress and a little note. My son loves going to see her and doesn't want to leave the wait area afterwards! Jody, the owner, is also extremely kind and cares about all the kids and parents in her program. When a member of the staff was going to go on maternity leave and some of her responsibilities were going to be passed on to our therapist, Jody emailed me directly to make sure I was comfortable with switching my son's teacher. I expressed some concerns (he was very shy and just loved Megan at this point) and Jody quickly assured me they'd work around my son and my concerns. I can't tell you how wonderful it was for me that they went above and beyond to accommodate us. All of the people at CDC are truly incredible and will love on your child while they help them grow. CDC is a great resource and we're so happy to have found them!
