I can't say enough good things about CDC and Megan especially. My son has been seeing Miss Megan…read moresince he was 1.5 and I think I was a bit more nervous about it than he was. Megan was so great with both of us. She allowed me to sit in on more sessions than their policy states and only when I was ready did she take my son back by himself. She made me feel like she was my partner in navigating the whole speech thing. When I can't make it to take him to his appointments, she'll send videos of his progress and a little note. My son loves going to see her and doesn't want to leave the wait area afterwards! Jody, the owner, is also extremely kind and cares about all the kids and parents in her program. When a member of the staff was going to go on maternity leave and some of her responsibilities were going to be passed on to our therapist, Jody emailed me directly to make sure I was comfortable with switching my son's teacher. I expressed some concerns (he was very shy and just loved Megan at this point) and Jody quickly assured me they'd work around my son and my concerns. I can't tell you how wonderful it was for me that they went above and beyond to accommodate us. All of the people at CDC are truly incredible and will love on your child while they help them grow. CDC is a great resource and we're so happy to have found them!

He started going here when we thought he simply had a speech delay, but we later found out that our son has autism. The staff here could not be more supportive. We started out seeing Miss Allison, who is phenomenal, but due to scheduling switched to Miss Mary, who is exceptional. The whole staff really cares about the progress my son is making. They are out of network with our insurance, but we love them so much, we pay the difference. Our sons progress is well worth the difference in price.

I came to Well Spoken when my older toddler developed a stutter out of the blue. I was worried that…read morehis language was regressing or he was having some kind of developmental issue, and I wanted to address it so I could get whatever treatment was needed started early. Natalie Waldman completely eased my fears (apparently a stutter is very common at this age), but more than that, she really listened. Her warmth was so reassuring when I was feeling stressed, and I loved how relatable her recommendations were (acknowledging the inherent challenges of fast-paced life and a child who needs to slow down, rather than expecting impossible life changes). It didn't feel clinical or like a cookie cutter approach. It felt like talking to a friend. She was also great with my child, who took to her right away and is still talking about "Miss Natalie." If your child is having any kind of speech issues, just call Well Spoken and get their advice. I'm so glad I found Natalie, and while I hope my kiddo doesn't have long term speech issues, I know where I'll go if he does.

Ms.Natalie goes directly to his school and works with him there which has become a very special, exciting time for him! Everyday he asks with an eager smile if it's a 'Ms. Natalie Day'! Natalie is warm, kind, compassionate, and has so quickly instilled a sense of pride and confidence in my son. I can't say enough positive things about Natalie and Well Spoken Speech and Language. I am beyond confident in my choice to allow Natalie into our lives to help my little guy and know you will be too!

The facility…read moreitself takes up the entire fourth floor of the Credit Union building on Edinger across from Bella terra. Each therapist has a room and the children can either spend time in said room or use the two gyms that are full of toys and play equipment (Lots of swings, slides, playhouse, climbing wall, crash pad, etc.). Both gyms are very clean and well maintained. They also have a nice kid friendly kitchen! Since we have been here for some time, we have had an opportunity to work with many speech and occupational therapists as well as the admin. Everyone here is very kind and knowledgeable in their field, generously offering tips and advice when I ask 100 questions. My son's schedule is packed, so when I need to reschedule, administration is very friendly and helps find a way to make our make-up appointments work for us. We have been with our current and absolutely amazing Occupational Therapist, Brenda, since day 1. She is a miracle worker when it comes to my son's food aversions- getting him to taste things he would normally throw at the wall. He is always super excited on Friday when I grab him from school since he knows hes going to see his "ms. Brenda". She is truly a key figure on my son's care team. We started speech services about a year ago at OCSS and my son's therapist, Claire, is extremely knowledgeable in Gestalt language processing. We just learned that my son is a Gestalt learner before we switched to OCSS and we are so thankful he was paired with someone with the expertise and knowledge that Claire has. She meets him right where he is that day and lets him lead which is so important for our son since he is a little unpredictable. He adores his time with her, and asks for her by name even on days we're not going to OCSS. If you're shopping around for therapy services for your child, I highly recommend OCSS and their staff.

They are overall very creative in developing therapeutic plans to meet our shared goals and open to parent and family input. They truly care for the children that they work with. Over the past 2 years, our son worked with various therapists from PT, OT, speech therapy, and behavioral therapy with both regional center funding and through medical insurance. Our son initially started with significant developmental delays, but now he has more than caught up in almost every area. Our son worked the most with Ms Ruth (ST), Ms. Kelly (ST), Ms. Ariana (OT), Ms. Brenda (OT), Ms. Dana (PT), and Ms. Tori (behavioral therapy). We have had a great experience with therapists our son worked with regularly as well as those not listed that covered on vacations. They are the best. Ms. Ruth and Ms. Kelly helped so much in expanding his communication skills. He started severely delayed in all aspects of communication, and he now can speak up to 7-8 word sentences clearly and understand others. With our son's complicated medical situation, we require a significant amount of assistance and input from OT. We especially appreciate our time with Ms. Ariana and Ms. Brenda, who helped so much in teaching our son to be independent in the day to day self care activities. We really appreciated the many helpful emails from Ms. Ariana with ideas, links to videos, therapy items, educational information, and worksheets to use at home, so we can continue therapy at home in between sessions. The billing situation can be confusing if your child utilizes a lot of therapy session in a week. That in part might be due to insurance processing claims not necessarily in a chronological order. It would be helpful to keep track of visits and insurance explanation of benefits. Even with the billing situation, we would still choose to work with the therapists at this office. They are very skilled and devoted to the children and what they do,

The facility is so clean and the set up is very convenient. It's set up in such a safe and private manner which is very important to me as a parent. I would travel hours just to see this team. She is adamant about signing all these documents but if you need to give any input on your child's well being it's frowned upon. If you do not agree to twice weekly lessons don't bother calling. They do not want to hear any feedback and she attempted to tell me she's not charging my credit card so I would not write a bad review. In addition, I asked how long it's expected to see results. I was hoping by end of summer and she responded "at least." Needless to say my card was stopped and I was incredibly disappointed with my overall experience.

I started my son the summer of 2021 at the age of 3. He was behind on speech development, and it was really difficult for anyone other than me to understand what he was saying -which made him be extra shy around anyone new because they'd ask him to repeat what he was saying to try to understand. With him getting ready to start school (Pre-K) in the Fall I really wanted him to feel more confident speaking up and to be understood. Molly has worked wonders. She was able to get my son to open up and really get into his sessions (he was a pretty shy boy) and has made a huge impact on my sons speech. I was so much more comfortable with him starting pre-k because I knew he could be understood. He has been thriving at school, and I attribute a ton of that to Molly. She still works with us, does a great job at periodically doing tests and giving us an update on where he is landing in comparison to his age group. My son loves "Miss Molly" and looks forward to their sessions. She finds ways to keep things fresh with new games and ways to incorporate their speech work. I highly recommend Molly! She is punctual, great communicator, and makes it really easy to work with her (despite sometimes crazy schedules). Thank you Molly!!
